    Has to be some UA-camr that trains herding dogs that'd love to collab. A couple herding dogs and an experienced person to control them would get this solved pretty quick.

    keep the sheep! Those sheep/goats r the best thing to prevent or reduce wild fires! All they do is eat, that reduces dry brush and grass that will burn in a wild fire. Sure repairing the fence line will be costly but not as costly as rebuilding the resort after it burns down from a wild fire.

    Get a few rolls of the orange constructions fence and some poles and make your self a chase fence. It can help block a large section while you chase them into the pen. 16:28 if you want to round up the sheep more efficiently, you have two options. Option one start putting out sweet feed near the water source, but outside the pin this will cause them to come to it. Option to go to a ranch that has people working off horseback and trying to deal with them to round up the sheep. They can do it way quicker.

    When I was growing up, we had a butcher come out and harvest the critters in the field. They had a truck designed to handle 15 cows. It would be good to check around for local services in dealing with wild farm animals. The fastest way to get them addicted to the free food is molasses. You can burn the molasses to fill the air with the smell of sugar. This will attract other critters as well. It is hard to train them to grapes or marshmallows, but they should know the smell of apples, so pour apple juice on the roof, paint trees with it, and put it in buckets. You want the smell in the wind as much as possible.

      @@Mister_Smith_YT not necessarily. One of the best herding dogs I know didn't cost his owner a thing, and nobody taught that dog how to work a herd. It was all instinct. I have seen plenty of herding dogs that have never been on a ranch try to herd people. When you get one that keeps nipping at your ankles, that is a dog that is naturally disposed to be a herding dog.

    Make sure the fencing is high enough so they cannot jump over AND lock any gates on both top and bottom so they can't push their way out. If you are going to hold them in the corral for a while make sure they have plenty of fresh water and food. ENJOY, SHEEP ARE A PAIN IN THE ASS TO RAISE, BUT THEY TASTE GREAT.

    If time allows I would set up several feeding stations within a reasonable perimeter of the goal site. And I think there is leader......once they get used to a particular feeding area they may calm down. Just move the feeding area closer over time to your goal area. Then experienced ranch working cowboys on horses just might work to move sheep to pens. They could be loaded up and relocated. And yes herding dogs are also a good idea!!

  • @toothlessaltine7705
    @toothlessaltine7705 Рік тому

    You could take some base up to the fence build them some ramps from the outside. Close up all the fence around the pond and feeder. Then they should just jump down into the pen to feed and drink essentially catching themselves. Good luck tho the herds probably a lot closer to 100 than you think so it could be a long battle.

  • @bigghoss762
    @bigghoss762 Рік тому +5

    I used to work on this big federal facility that was thousands of acres. Long before I got there they had to catch and remove a bunch of pronghorns so they built huge fences that were in a giant V shape to heard these things into. I think that's what you're going to have to do, set up a big funnel that they won't even realize until they're in it until they're in it and have it open into the pen. Those things just seem bound and determined to go the exact opposite way you want them to.
