I have a suggestion for your technique. Drop a weighted mesh basket to the bottom near where you are hunting so you can just drop the items in the basket and haul it up with the rope. This will save batteries going up and down.

5 gallon bucket cut down about 1/2 high with small holes in bottom with weight and lift line👍
