The science is to spray seal with a larger border, after it dries trim the edge so the water can get in there. Also Try using the backing - once removed - and apply it to the decal while it is on the cup to protect the decal while pressing out the air and water. Also it is great to show - practice before perfect. (nice job)

Hi Corrine, I am having problems with waterslide decals with text. using the clear waterslide paper without a background will cut the letters individually but the letters are left on the map. using white background on clear waterslide paper will keep letters together but will include the white space and lines. I love the kitten, where can I get one.....Thank you so much.
You have to flatten the designs to a shape to use your machine to cut. It’s always going to have some space around the design. The cat is just an image from google
@@CorinneBlackstone to understanding.: when shape and text image with multiline are flatten, cricut does cut around and between words. I have to trim around the entire decals. I love your video, thanks for responding.

You never put epoxy in an oven its toxic. Something like this is not meant to be used for drinking just display. Its like glue once its dried it stays on no problem. Mine has been handled tons. It hold my pens and its perfect.

But if there a way I can keep the depth of the colour but with a clear background, as when I print onto clear, unless I put the decal onto a white base I loose the depth of the colour. Usually curved is a little harder but it can be done. It doesn't work great on plastic because there is no way to seal it to the cup and they are flexible

@@CorinneBlackstone Awesome, Thank you! You are the best!
quick question. so your cup was dry when you put it on ? thank you love you.
No there’s a little water on the cup as well

I had no sealer on the edge issues on this one but I will keep that in mind for future projects! Thanks!

I saw someone tonight that actually mirrors their water slides and applies them face down and everyone who commented and tried it said it was life changing so don’t know if you have ever done that!

Just depends on the look you are going for. You are the only one who can decide if white or clear works better for you
Is this waterslide paper like doing vinyl where after many washings it may crack or peel?
I haven’t had it crack or peel but it’s best to seal it under epoxy for best results
With the clear paper if you have a darker color or say it was a steel tumbler would the image still pop or would it dull it down do you think?
It will dull it. The clear is best on white or super light colors. They make a white waterslide as well
Does the mug need to be treated with anything? Can you apply water slide decal directly on the plain mug?
Yes you put waterslide on a plain mug
Thank you for the video and answering my questions
