I'm amazed at how much Barbie clothes are going for but that's wonderful that you made back your initial investment and then some. My grandmother made all my Barbie clothes and she could sew beautifully. Love the cobalt blue vase and clear bowl too.

Sat down in front of the computer to eat my supper and was pleasantly surprised to see you thrifting and showing your haul. Love the yellow bowl. You find the nicest things. Here in Missouri everything is so picked over and over priced. I find better things at yard sales. Congrats on the Barbie sales.

I went thrifting today too, found a few nice things. But I would like to know, why grown adults think it’s perfectly alright to wear pajamas to a store?!!!. I’ve seen this a few times in the last few years, but today, at two different stores, a man and a woman were wearing pajamas, and SLIPPERS. I just thought my mother would be rolling over in her grave. The only time I wore pajamas out of the house was to go to a drive in movie when I was 6!
I'm with you on the PJ thing. I won't go to the mail box in my PJ's and people actually go out in them. This is just one more thing that has eroded in our society, one of the more insignificant things, but just another reminder of the craziness of today. People seem to have no respect for themselves or others.
I think it might have something to do with the whole Covid 19 quarantine thing - people stayed home for a long time and didn't have to dress in their regular clothes, and some of them just never went back to normal, if that makes any sense. 🤔

Great news about the Barbie items.
Glad to hear the Barbie clothes are paying off nicely without being too much of a headache for you. Love the bowl, I have never seen that pattern. My Grandmother had one of those frying pans, and she said it was good for scalding milk, but for anything else she preferred her cast iron. She had a set of clear pots as well, used them all the time on her sawdust burner (she would never go electric), and never broke one on the stove.🖤🇨🇦

Hi Scott. I just checked out your Ebay listings. In Lot 3 of your Barbie clothes, there's a white dress (lower left corner of the picture) that is possibly the nurses outfit that goes with the blue cape you had. Not sure if you sold the cape yet.

The minute I saw the yellowed clear bowl I was saying "please please please get it"😊. I love my old yellow tinged pyrex and there's something that draws me to that bowl. I'm so happy you picked it up. I know you need to do your research for curiosity, but I don't even care who makes it to make me like it. For fun, I am going to pull out the few books I have though to see if I can find anything😊

You might want to consider adding some shoes to your Barbie listings. It might help you make more $s. I know you have at least one bag of them. Add heeled shoes with the ladylike dresses and boots with the 70s styles. Good luck!

I got a chuckle the other night when you said something about the workman coming back to finish a job at your house, and "No telling what he'll think about me sitting there all day playing with a pile of Barbie clothes at my dining table!" 😅😅😅 (Oh, well...maybe it gave him something interesting to tell the wife that night over meatloaf, lol!) I have a couple glass frying pans - two McKee and two Pyrex. I used the Pyrex all the time to scramble eggs. Very easy to clean up. I love them.

The airplane bottle openers are new. I got one in a gift bag. Very cheaply made. They bend. Good thing to pass up.
Do NOT panic over this information I will share with you. Yellow glass has many reasons. Prior to WW II arsenic was used in glass production in preventing bubbles from forming in glass, probably heavier glass pieces or producing a better quality product. The danger of arsenic exposure was more to the safety and health of the workers producing the glass. The arsenic in glass turns it yellow due to UV irradiation, sunlight exposure. Think of old heavy car headlights (prior to WW II). The addition of Boron to make Borosilicate glass gave way to the production of thinner glass that was very heat resistant and wouldn’t break or or crack due to high temperatures. No need for heavier glass and bubbles occurring. Thus we got Pyrex, better, thinner bottles and jars, and yes lighter arsenic free headlights. Your daily dose of chemistry you didn’t want. At least I didn’t include the thermodynamics of the Boron atom. LOL.
You find so many great things that I would never find on the west coast. One of my thrift stores has a banded rings footed glass (not painted) for $10 with a chip in the base. It's been sitting there for months, and they haven't even marked the price down. They also have a black etched glass vase they want $30. I was all ready to buy it until I saw the price. It is crazy over here. And don't get me started on our Goodwill. They have new prices on used items.

I'm sure it must be a nice change for you to ship items that aren't breakable, like the Barbie clothes, and a nice break (pun intended) for your hands. Packing and shipping this antique glassware does require alot of care and attention. I purchased from ebay just last week a lovely Anchor Hocking Old Colony pink lace bowl, and it arrived today broken 😢. The seller just wrapped it in bubble wrap and put it in a box with not nearly space between the delicate edge and the side of the box. She is refunding the cost of the bowl but not the shipping cost. It's really put me off wanting to buy these pieces online. To think that bowl has been around nearly 100 years and got broken on its' way to me makes me feel guilty. It would still be intact if i hadn't wanted it. I should have bought something from you, Scott! I know you know better.

So many memories but the frog! I made one many years ago. Used a green/brownish mottled glaze. Decided one day to move it to the other side of the herb garden. You guessed it. I reached down and put my hand on the biggest frog/toad I had ever seen! May have done a good job but I was certainly extra vigilant after that!! 🐸

Scott ,you have me now wishing that a little five year-old me, had not been the little s### that i was with my mom and grandmother's collection of pink glassware using it for targets for my dart gun, I was even worse to my sisters barbies i cut their hair and glued them feet up on the ceiling , no wounder my butt stayed red ,got a lot of time learning the switch dance,keep safe my friend, you have helped me learn about glassware and now on then hunt for it,marty

😂❤😂❤ Scott how are your hands? When is your psychiatrist's appointment for the pain meds? 😂😂😂 In my life with autoimmune system diseases, l have never seen such a recovery. I even went to a rheumatologist, a pain clinic for shots in my back, and l am not mentioning all the other doctors who have seen me over the years. I am on Social security disability insurance because l am disabled Scott. I don't like how my body lets me down. That is why they wanted me to be a doctor, but with all the drugs l have to take due to my CONDITIONS; l didn't want to risk any patients. I understand you are not able to understand my condition, l will never be able to explain it to you. My brother could have helped me. Rodney could have been an honest man. But neither cared to tell me anything. I will watch your videos cuz you know your stuff. But l have been chronically ill since l was a kid. I just wish I could get around like you do, and when l get back in shape you will be amazed. Barbie has been good to you, be good to her. Make sure people know the flaws, just like you always do. I don't want to hurt people like l have been, forced into a crappy relationship to save someone else's business. I want to love my life. I don't want to end up in the funny place because people don't understand my condition. Blessings be.
