Some people don’t understand why this is rare
This is the original intro that was used for the original airings of some of the first episodes. This version is not used in syndication or on home video, which is why it’s considered rare.
I feel many of the people saying “this is how I remember it” are either people who watched these when they aired and don’t know it’s been changed in reruns, or are confusing it for the syndicated intro despite it having many small differences
Cool
Yup. I didn’t hear the dog bark in this one.
I'm shocked this is the rare cut. This is the only intro I remember XD
It’s really not that different to be fair.
@@cowboydan507yeah it really isn’t. It’s so slight it’s like… so what? Lol
No "WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!"?
That bit always made me crack up. Sounds more serious without it.
I agree keep that dog silent. Really saddens me that they didn't make an anthology movie with far more consequences.
It’s the original version it has no sound effects at all
This theme is on the end credits of some episodes
Me too
@@GreenPhoenix91 that dog got bill cipher eyes lol 😂 .
Did UA-cam just recommend this for everyone else today as well? 😂
I was wondering why this was gaining weirdly large attention lately lol
Yeah you’ve hit the algorithm today 🎉
yup
Yep
Yes!
It always seemed weird to me how on either version when the dog comes up, they portray him as some sort of demon-like villain dog when in reality it was a guy that turned into a dog and he was pretty chill about it lmao
It implied He always was a dog to begin with. We were given hints about it in the end of the episode
@@dragonslayermasterornstein83a dog all along? Is it not the sunscreen that turns him into a dog? Same goes for all the other kids who used it.
Wait, which book was that?
@@antrum6538nope, the lotion had nothing to do with it. The serum in the shots that the doctor gave them was what kept them human. Over time the shots began to fail, causing them to revert to their original forms. At the end of the book and episode he switched to testing on their cat, Jasper.
@@DanceGavinDanceIsBaeI think The Barking Ghost.
The nostalgia hit me like a brick man.. Its official people, we’re old heads now!
Crazy how time flies. Next thing we we'll be on our deathbeds!!
Turning 29 next month, i just feel so out of the loop these days, becoming the new boomers is so wild to think. It feels like yesterday i was still playing gamecube.
@sirslaughter6199 29? You think 29 is old? Are you shittin' me? 🤣
We’ve been old heads awhile now but it just keeps getting worse every year 😭
@@nocturnalrecluse1216 i hear you, but 29 is actually kind of old considering we age like cheese nowadays. Also, 30 is the new 40
It's ridiculous to remember how scary this intro was, for so many of us, as kids.
Meanwhile kids who grew up with Are You Afraid of the Dark were like: psshh amateurs
@@VideoSmarts1 "The tale of Jake the Snake"
Remember that one??
@@VideoSmarts1 That show gave me such scares even to this day... I remember the pool ghost, the mirror ghost and the one where Melissa Joan Hart starred! 😬
“Viewers beware! You’re in for a nostalgic scare…”

Growing up in the 90's was amazing
You know you're old when shit like this almost brings you to tears.
I remember Goosebumps came on at 6pm on Fox in my area and my mom didn’t come home from work until 6:30pm. My brother and I, 8 and 12, home alone after sunset, forgetting to turn on the lights and this intro starting up, sending chills down our spines. The Halloween mask episode straight up gave my brother night terrors for years.
The mask was the most great acting I ever seen from kids it was also so terrifying
@@Viibe_4422 Yup that one and night of living dummy 3 had fantastic kid actors.
Plain and Simple = R L Stine KNEW what he was doing with the books and the direction of the show.
Tons of so-called Horror Movies, could NOT compete with this show on "acting, creepiness and soundtrack".
Genius Work :)
the halloween mask episode is legit frightening
Anyone remember some kind of creepy Disney movie with a young black guy who’s arm turns into like a green lizard hand I remember for some reason the mask episode always makes me think of that other movie both gave me night terrors as a kid 😂
This song still hits hard.
I remember watching this show as a kid, I remember the intro being TERRIFYING but now when I see this I just feel silly
How did we have the same childhood?
It used to terrify me but also the adrenaline rush made me hard for some reason too
It was specifically the dark G shadow creeping up front path to the door that scared me. Idk why but it made me really uneasy. It made me realize for the first time in my life that bad things suddenly and abruptly happen to people even in broad daylight and that really messed with my young brain lol. You learn the world is not a 100% safe place and never was
2006 when Cartoon Network did a whole marathon of goosebumps all day. Best believe me and my lil brother watched all of em
I watched it on Cartoon Network too! I give the channel credit for introducing me to it.
It was actually October 2007 when it first showed up on Cartoon Network.
@@Aaron_Gallego91 I remember that year when goosebumps came out during Halloween 🎃 in 2007
Weird not hearing the dog bark at the one section, haha. Thanks for uploading!
This is a rare intro in the first few episodes , thats why!!
Man, this is mind blowing. I wish they used this.
they did in the uk
They did for "The Girl Who Cried Monster" and "The Cuckoo Clock of Doom" on their first airings on Fox Kids in the US.
@@homer8029 do you mean France
They actually used it in one of the episodes that has scarred me for life the name of the episode was something like say cheese and die I don't know why but it scarred me maybe it scarred me beacause one of the characters became a discord mod In that episode I forgot their name though (maybe for this scene they used prosthetic parts or something like that) or maybe turned them into a discord mod 🤔
They did that's the one I always remember
This intro aired only on the original broadcast of the first 5-10 episodes. I know I used to own them on a dvd to vhs of all the old episodes. Also the Ultimate Goosebumps intro later on, on the original broadcast the narrator says Ultimate, then goosebumps. These intros were only aired when the episodes first aired.
Do you still have the DVDs ? We’re they bootleg
I knew this was on the first couple episodes of season one.
@@michaelsheila882 yes they were all bottlegged episodes on 6 disc's, or so. Sadly I don't have the dvds anymore they all were scratched, lost, or the dvds stopped working due to horrible picture quality from the episodes. Almost all original broadcast of each episode besides the haunted mask, bride of the living dummy, and a night in terror tower. The rest were all original broadcast of each episode without the commercials.
They always showed this intro on Swedish TV. It was dubbed and called "the cold chills" in Swedish. I remember it vividly ❤
You can also hear Slappy laugh and say “Viewer Bewaaare, you’re in for a SCAAARE.” On the ultimate goosebumps intro
I remember this one time, the dog's eyes glowing yellow scared my niece so much that she covered her eyes and I just laughed at her cause it didn't scare me at all. 😂
Seriously?
Man this brought me right back to my childhood. Id give anything to actually relive the 90s and early 2000s. That was the last era where kids could be kids.
I’m 25 years old just now discovering this super rare intro😳!
I’m 25 too, we’re getting old ha
I'm 22 and this one has no Dog Barking 🐕
I'm 28 and found this a little while ago. It makes me wish I was old enough to watch the show while it was airing.
Try 35, this show was awesome
32 here I still like Goosebumps
Damn this is crazy, so nostalgic too
Reminds me of when I was 8 years old i would go to the movie rental and libraries to rent these in vhs
@@Cavefire76dude yes, there was a video rental place near my papaws house, and if you got a purple gumball from the machine you'd get a free one-night rental.
Man I miss waking up Saturday mornings to watch shows like this times really have changed
Man I miss these days. Also, this intro beat did NOT have to go this hard lol
I don't know about you guys but this is kinda a bop even more then the original
This intro might be what kicked off my enjoyment of metal and nu-metal music as a kid. Love the dark riffs!
Haha so tru
This intro had great music, while Are You Afraid of the Dark? had the more terrifying visuals.
I wish goosebumps would come back in 2023!!
Guess what, your wish is coming to pass. A Goosebumps reboot has been announced in Disney+.
@@Bardim18After we got the Sony animations films.
You suck at making wishes I wish you never wished that because now we have differentiate the shows
Producers: "hmm, no. No. They're not ready for this, they don't deserve this."
Man, I miss this intro. Watched this show all the time!
I can't believe I used to get scared of this. Chucky is still a little scary today, and I have a Chucky doll in my house, but Goosebumps is just lame today. It still brings on the good Nostalgia feelz, though.
This needs transposed into metal. A band like Archspire could have fun with this
This theme is, When it aired for the first time ever❤❤❤❤
My favorite episode is The Haunted House Game. My favorite part in the episode is when the fisherman on the boat throws a net catching the male protagonist Jonathan and reels him. The actor man playing the fisherman has to be the strongest person in the world to physically reel Jonathan in the net
Think that’s the first episode i ever watched
This beat slapped harder than my alcoholic step dad
This is even more 90s and I love it
DUDE. I WAS BORN ON 2001 IN MARCH AND I REMEMBER THIS INTRO!!!! DUDE THIS IS NESTOLGIA.
This was rare I always used to see this one
0:39 i love the fast motion pictures
This sounds weird to me, not having certain sounds, like the dog barking or the guy saying goosebumps.
I saw this logo when I use to watch the series on UA-cam from vhs rips. So cool to see it again
Why the intro to the beat go hard tho😮💨🔥
For some reason watching a slightly different version of this opening after so many years is so damn unnerving. It almost feels like something I’d see in a weird dream.
It's must be is Goosebumps theme song intro best parodies anime ever!
The childhood memories! I'd watch this with my younger brother, watching him all scared.. he would go to bed.. and the I would watch alone in the dark... scared 😂 unfortunately my younger brother passed away.. so these memories are more cherished
I'm so sorry for your lost may your younger brother rest in peace
goosebumps ogs only remember this
I'm 36, and I absolutely remember this.
I'm almost 32 years old I enjoyed watching Goosebumps when I was a kid/teenager
The bass is more different in this one
Remember this from 1996 on Fox Kids on Sky analogue good old days
Nostalgic bro I remember watching this everyday
I still own all for seasons of this on DVD
UA-cam just randomly said “You wanna see the Goosebumps intro?”
It’s so trippy seeing something you haven’t seen in over 20 years
UA-cam algorithm randomly sending me gold from a forgotten era before i was born.
Man do I wish there was a cleaner upload of this somewhere.
Never happening unless someone has it from the uk, or from a cleaner tv upload of an older episode
Watched this intro thousands of times as a kid
I was born in 1997, so I only watched the show when it aired on Cartoon Network for Halloween in the late 00s. I like it better without the sound effects, make it scarier.
I am almost 32. I am Afghan, but Canadian born. I would watch Goosebumps and so many other things on YTV. Apparently the episodes were filmed in Canada, as are most shows. Don't want to sound too cliche, but being a child has its perks. You don't tend to think or worry too much. You are just a child, enjoying mama's delicious food and watching television, specifically your favourite childhood channel into the long hours of the night. You don't think beyond that. There's so much I could say- I could write a book about growing up in the 90s-2000s. But I'll leave it at that. As a 90s kid, I'm still simple at heart in a way. I tend to prefer being a wallflower, and observe a fast-paced world rather than get too involved within it. Peace is scarce, compared to the past...but thankfully I find little moments that I appreciate such tranquility. I pray peace for the whole world.
I'm about to be 32 at the end of next month I enjoyed watching Goosebumps in the early 2000s when I was a kid
I was too young when this aired on tv, but I can definitely see why this is the rare one. I remember some home video or reruns versions had some alterations in additional audio.
I think this version is on some of the old VHS tapes as well
I conquered my fear of this show a long time ago. I took proper precautions like muting the volume both during the opening credits, like in this video for example, and for the closing credits as well.
I used to watch Goosebumps when I was a kid and teen. It was shown on the BBC as a part of their children's block CBBC and TG4 (formerly known as TnaG) years ago.
I heard it was shown on Fox Kids (then Jetix; now-defunct Disney XD UK and Ireland) years ago.
By the way I had a Goosebumps VHS 📼 called The Haunted Mask as a kid and sadly I don't have it anymore. It probably went to the charity years ago.
I enjoyed watching Goosebumps when I was a kid/teenager and I sometimes watch it in my adulthood
Brings back so many memories.
Same here
I remember watching some of this as a kid since I had a VHS. I liked it.
I always rewatch the eps during Halloween!!
The Library, The Haunted Mask, The Basement, The Barking Ghost and Attack of the Jack-o'-lanterns so good
Very good book series and the TV show was incredible too.
Do you think you can archive or preserve this intro somehow so it doesn't become lost again?
Just download it. Google it if you don't know how.
Looks and sounds like it's from a pilot episode.
Goosebumps' pilot episode ("The Haunted Mask") didn't have this as an opening. Instead, it had an intro with R.L. Stine (the guy who created the book series). Unless you mean the first real episode, which I think is the one where a girl finds out the librarian is a monster who eats turtles and flies during closing hours.
@@canaisyoung3601 But that "first real episode" you mentioned, "The Girl Who Cried Monster" and the very next episode "The Cuckoo Clock of Doom" had this version of the theme on their very first arings on Fox Kids.
YES!!! I REMEMBER SEEING THIS AS A KID! I love Goosebumps A LOT. Read all the books and watched all the shows. This commercial was a hidden memory, thank you for sharing 🥹😈
This is the one they use for EVERY SINGLE EPISODE??? what???
No it’s way different there no voices at the ending saying the “viewer beware you’re on for a scare” or the dog barking during
Main things are different clips are used in the little montage part at the end, the dog doesn’t bark along with the song, and there’s nobody saying “Goosebumps - Viewer beware, you’re in for a scare”
I remember this one from the original airing! Whoa! I completely forgot they changed it. Thanks for the upload!
Disney+ just launched new Goosebumps episodes which is I think why the UA-cam algorithm is pushing this to everyone right now
Wish this intro could've been used way more often. With Fido barking of course.
I distinctly remember this being the intro growing up and I’m only 25.
I wonder why this intro was not used in the rest of the Goosebumps series?
I'm guessing they needed some kind of disclaimer so they added the "viewer beware" part
For the books the slogan was Reader beware-you’re in for a scare!
@@SpongeSebastian I see.
@@lewisandarchie7920 I remember that.
Wow did anybody else feel the nostalgia from our childhood?
Back when goosebumps was the best
This was my childhood
Only the goosebumps OGs remembers this intro.
I remember seeing this in some episodes
I still have the VHS tapes for Haunted Mask 1 and 2. They have this intro 😌
You know... maybe the reason I'm not really scared of anything as an adult is because I was watching and reading horror books and Tv shows constantly.
It really gives off a Diggity Dungeons 'N' All That vibe. (Shout out to fellow Gravity Falls fans who get it).
Damn, I *almost* didn't catch that! Loved that episode.
YOU DARE CHALLENGE PROBABILITIZZLE?
My older brother and sister watched this whenever they came over. I was 4-5 (too scared to ever watch it without them), they were 8-11. I barely remember that intro myself, and yet it still feels so familiar... the images, the musical cadence... man, what a trip
Just enough nostalgia for a sub.
Congrats
The theme still slaps so much
Sick intro tbf 🔥
That crappy tambourine drum machine sample never fails to make me laugh. Thanks for the memories!
Memorable intro, I remember see this at fox Kids around the 2000
Saudades, fez parte da minha infância ❤👏
This does put a smile on my face
SCREW OFF DISNEY! The OG Goosebumps will always have the throne of children's horror
This was the one I saw as a kid lol
You know that's not rare Netflix removed the other seasons but left the specials and any streaming app with ads has it except for Tubi and I've seen this intro multiple times
Real ones know that in the remake, when the dogs eyes turn yellow the theme song goes from synth to cartoon dog noise. In the original like this one, the synth continues throughout. the dog dont bark in the OG
I remember this as a toddler
Man, it's just not the same without "Viewer beware, you're in for a scaaaaaaaaare."
Still cool to see nonetheless.
I still have these recordings on vhs.....and ironically I was just thinking about watching them and UA-cam recommended me this.
Loved the intro
Oh my god, they DID use this one, I remember it. And I remember when it changed too.
oh, now i see his comment, and that is crazyyyy. i had no idea
Still love that into song. As nostalgic as Tales from the Dark side
I was 5 when this was aired in India very Nostalgic and Scary Show too !!
