She is such a great comedic writer. I hope she paces herself and surrounds herself with a great team. Well deserved.
With someone like Stephen in her corner, I'm sure she'll get the best.
It feels too soon for her, but she's so great so big congrats to her. She's going to crush it and if she doesn't her fans will be there for her. This woman can go fast track to the top, but also has the ability to weather numerous flops so seriously, no pressure. I'll be watching.

I think Colbert is one of the smartest hosts going but you make a great point (also ~same # of likes for similar comment by @madnessbydesign141) --- working with a creative team + a producer is a whole - 'nother level of sophistication and complexity ---- I also will be watching and appreciating her show.

Saw her live in London about six months ago; she is absolutely brilliant, one of the best stand.up comedians of her generation. Will be rooting for her that this is going to be a huge success! Go, Taylor!

She is absolutely my favorite comic. Just watch her videos when she's just doing improv in a small crowd asking them questions. So so funny. Her prepared stuff is good too, but she has such a natural humor about her that I hope she allows that to shine through

I saw her in Colorado Springs in June and can honestly say she is amazing, great at crowd work, and most importantly incredibly emotional and real. I am so happy about this. Her comedy got me through homelessness and the pandemic, and it's gonna be amazing to watch a brand new late night show spearheaded by her! Go Taylor!
@NotchaBizness Life is a series of challenges, and some you come out stronger, others weaker, some you just don't. I'm not homeless anymore, but I was for 4 years and it leaves a lot of scars. Some you can see, and others not so much. Regardless, comedy is one way I made it through, and it takes great comedy to make it through something like that, so she absolutely deserves such a platform :)
I'm in my 40s and absolutely love her. The specific experiences from generation to generation may differ, but her comedy makes them relatable. I hope she does really well.

She’s struggled with diagnosis, she’s struggled with grief, trauma, and insecurities yet tonight I feel at ease that I can take steps towards my success because she did it. just so you know: @midnight was not an interview show. It was kinda like a game show with comics and improvisers as the contestants. If After Midnight is at all similar then you shouldn't expect another talk show like Late Night or the Tonight Show.

She'll do it in her inimitable style....and she'll have great guests and may not do traditional sit down interviews but she'll make 'em all talk anyway. She gives me big Conan vibes, which is the highest compliment I can give her. She's very self deprecating, aware, quick, consistently funny. Great gig for her, they've made a great, great choice hiring her. Will be interested to see the format of the show. Would love to see some sketch comedy in late night make a come back rather than being overly political

The bit with her and Conan talking about American Girl dolls is incredible. I first saw her through that bit, and Conan’s appreciation of her talent was enough to justify watching her standup material. Turns out, he’s a very good judge of character. In short, I can’t wait for Taylor & Stephen to be pushed out of their jobs so that CBS can onboard Mr Jay Leno for a two hour comedy block called “Have you seen this, tonight?”

Good god, that smile could light up a city. Do you see how high her shoulders are most of the time there? She’s still genuinely stunned and not taking anything for granted. She’s got timing, a proper voice, writing skills, and she is just very personable. It’s a vague thing and fairly subjective, but you can’t host without it. Properly chuffed for her. Jimmy Kimmel's humanity notwithstanding, it's very rare (next to never, actually) that anything on any late night program makes me emotional.
But this made me a bit emotional. I'm so incredibly excited for Taylor to be getting this opportunity, she's just such a wonderful young woman with so many incredible years in comedy to come.

This is gonna be great. Taylor is easily one of the top 5 female comedians. I love her ability to flip observations sideways. If nothing else, she should save some money on therapists doing a late show monologue on a regular basis.

I'm pretty sure the network only makes pennies on YT compared with how much it makes on ratings, and people watching the networks TV ads. That being said, she is clearly well liked by younger crowds, so I do hope the network takes note of her online following and viral content because I'm expecting it will have plenty of viral content.

I know they're very small potatoes compared to "CBS", but I believe Dropout has similar or even better numbers than the Paramount+ service (or maybe even more apt: Funny or Die versus CollegeHumor)... and Sam has been very open about the fact that not only is UA-cam great advertising for them, it makes them like half their money too.
A non-syndicated show airing weekdays at ~1am? I feel like they aren't gonna be drawing a ton of ad dollars purely from broadcast.

Colbert being involved in this is such a massive disappointment. Not many late night show hosts openly reveal what they really are. Kimmel does. Colbert does. But people buy into the masks they wear on stage. Which obviously work. Taylor is way, way too good to ever be associated with this guy. Whatever he really is. I just hope it doesn't mean she too has "gone to the dark side." Hope she can stay a real person.

Amazing!! She's my favorite!! She has worked so hard and deserves all the good things coming her way. I already know that she's *easily* going to be one of the best things in 2024.
She's very experienced for her age and seems ready (as one can be) for the next big step. I'd be interested to see how she is as an interviewer. Her crowd work during her standup is pretty solid, which suggests that she's not uncomfortable sharing the stage. It's tricky with standup comedians because the skills for standup don't necessarily always translate to talk shows. Stephen came from an acting background, Conan was a brilliant writer even if he was unknown to audiences, Jimmy Fallon was a sketch comedian who had done some standup in his early years and Jimmy Kimmel got his start as a morning radio shock jock in Arizona and California before getting into acting. I discovered Taylor existed maybe in like September due to UA-cam Shorts. Less than twelve hours ago, I binged her Netflix specials. Now, I'm finding out she's got a whole ass show. This has been a wild ride! She deserves it.
