What really infuriates me is that mick lynch has mentioned several times that the government are covering rail firms losses during the dispute, however, in none of the numerous interviews I've seen with Mark harper, has he been asked to confirm if this is the case and, if so, how the government can justify using public money in this manner.
Also harper doesn't want to do the talks on tv despite being there at the same time....
Sussy baka he is...
All the same people with the dodgy handshakes. Privatisation of essential public services is basically treason in my eyes and most people in government and high places are utterly against most of the population. We must rise up against these traitors of the people they should be serving.
Been happening since 1994...even Labour used to pay huge subsidies.
You've mistaken these mainstream arseholes for Journalists....they never ask the right questions, thats what they are realy paid to do.
Its almost like the system is corrupt
Mick's nonchalant come back to Richard Vaguely is purely poetic, making him look like a complete plum on national telly. Total gold.😂
Dunno about poetic, when is the argumentative Pratt going to get the train’s back running! Just bringing the country to its knees! Seems to think the government has got a sodding bottomless pit when it come to money!Well,it’s not their money, it’s ultimately yours! Taxes! Ever heard of them? Still if your happy paying them to this arsehole…………
Not hard.
That was a thing of beauty
I was moved to tears....of laughter
It doesn't take someone like ML to make RM look stupid tbh.
The bias from UK mainstream media is sickening, these overpaid TV personalities shouldn’t be passing judgment on people who are striking for the right to fair wages
woah man. are you telling me that approximately £60,000 a year is not a fair wage? Nurses, posties and the other striking workforces would DREAM of being paid to that extent, and they do just as much, if not more work for the country
Fair wages.??? How much money do the greedy cnuts want mate.?? I'd sack the lot of them.. 🤬

Nationalize the transport system, the energy companies and re-nationalize (the privatized sections) the NHS. Profit at any cost is ruining the social structure in this country, it's just as much a pandemic as COVID, a self replicating 'virus' affecting all of us except those at the top (who are too busy partying to care).
You want energy independence at the household level.
Energy, food, water, shelter. These things should be in the control of yourself. When ever these are in tbe hands of any centralised provider, be it private corporate, or national then those centralised bodies have control over your life. Same with medicine to some degree.
If everyone took measures to get off grid, or have energy independence then that's one step towards addressing the imbalance.
why should i pay for more strikes due to demands of the wage packet then still pay for the ticket to get on public transport your thoughts are so special ,the public would burn your buses and trains for the high cost so go and do one.
@@angryherbalgerbil A green energy grant that puts a wind turbine on every roof in the uk and a solar panel on every home in the uk would be a great start. Then we put water turbines in the water systems so whenever it is raining, windy, snowing or sunshine the uk and the people of the uk are making free clean green energy and money. We do need a national energy company and another company that does water and another that does broadband, The UK can do these things cheaper than a private company because of course they would be owned by the uk tax payer, This would also allow the goverment to put soft caps on residential essential services. Then instead of the company being entirely driven for a few peoples wealth, it is driven for the best services with normal profits, not excessive. If the uk has not built 200,000 council homes for 12 years, that is 2million council houses, at least 4 million bedrooms that do not exist. So then they are at the mercy of a private landlord charging double the rent to pay their own mortgage and add that with private companies extorting people for profit, it is a worse recipe than working on self sufficiency.

@@quill9105 mate, people arent taking a train to the pub are they?
@@quill9105 That makes no sense. It's possible to go out without using public transport, and the decline we are seeing in the sector is part of a decline that's been happening over the last ten years; pubs and clubs and restaurants have been closing like nobody's business for ages.
We're just seeing that trend spike now, due to a myriad of factors: Brexit lost a lot of the staff, Covid made some of the more fragile businesses wind up, and the cost of living crisis has started to finish the job. You can't say this is the rail worker's fault when forty percent of working people are on benefits and food bank use is at al all time high.
Sorry, but what you're saying is gaslighting nonsense. The lion's share of the problem is down to how the economy is being run.

They also employ a lot of poorly paid staff in 'menial' roles who don't have fixed contracts and are dispensable.

Mick offers a very clear and all-encompasing view, that explains well the whys and wherefores of this rail situation.
The country's real problem is that all the current unrest in the public sector is due to an incompetent, uncaring, and deeply dishonest government.
It's deeper than that. It shows how almost every structure in UK society/Government is deeply flawed. Nothing has been meaningfully reformed in 50 years. How is it that public sector pay is so disconnected from reality. In any functional country, their pay is usually set by an independent ombudsman and the Government has little say.

Yep those poor train drivers on 65k a year must be starving to death. 👍 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Love it, keep going Mick! The public are behind you!
Unity is strength, join a Union.
Getting off you arse and doing it for yourself is how you create wealth, not waiting around for someone else to do it for you.
@@jjefferyworboys8138 Not forgetting to claim as much back thru your accountants jjeffery and pay as little in taxes and N.I. contributions as most self employed dividend patriots normally do....
Great guy
Well done, Mick for calling out the bs
Yet the strike is still ongoing ? How much money have the strikers lost now ? Will they ever make it up ?
@@jjefferyworboys8138 he answers that question in one of the clips. The government should be the ones making up their lost earnings, as they re the ones sitting on their hands doing nothing, but we know Tories despise working class people. So it wont happen.
If only politicians could be straight an honest like Mr Lynch. We might have a fair and just society
How worried are you about losing public support? * Car honks in support * bloody classic that!!
very true
Madeley has some front to criticize workers wages when he is on £300,000 per year. Makes me sick! Good on you. Mick for standing up for all workers rights.
Godbless you mick. Thank you
Brilliant, Mick.
Well said mick
Right behind you, Mr Lynch.
You have my support and the support of many of my colleagues in the steel industry. Keep up the protest and when the time comes to protest against removal of workers rights to protest for better pay and working conditions we will all protest together.
Nick Ferrrari: "So you refused to put this to a vote?"
Mich Lynch: "Well no, that's why you have voting numbers."
Best moment.
"Well,Richard, you're always right" That made me chuckle, nice one ,Mick.Trying to blame business taking a dive on the strikers,f*ck off!
Richard is getting on my nerves he never backs Mick or the workers once.Go follow your wife Richard and bugger off.
We are with you Mick, keep up the pressure.
#r4today's Nick Robinson asks Mick Lynch "why Sunday services are so bad" adding "it's because of a lack of flexibility by workers."
Mick Lynch: "most people on the railway are rostered to work Sundays, it's mandatory, it's not a lack of flexibility it's a shortage of staff."
Mick is gold as usual.
If we have no Journalism highlighting the truth then as a society we are in big trouble. There is going to be a big whiplash to all of this . All our leaders and those in the media industry are millionaires .... Throw us some change to break bread #2023
I've worked for the railway for eighteen years and never missed a day through strike up till last may, we are not communists or people that want to bring a government down , all we want is a safe railway and a decent wage for providing that,
