- 🇳🇴 The Norwegian Fjords cruise continues with stops at in the beautiful fjords at Olden and Flam.
Sailing further north up the coast of Norway to Nordfjord.
Visiting the small town of Olden in the rain before heading to the town of Flåm where the sun came out.
Meeting the Vikings in Viking Valley at Gudvangen before taking a hike up the hill to the waterfall Brekkefossen overlooking the Aurlandsfjord one of Norway’s most picturesque fjord.
The back onboard P&O Britannia for the sail away from Flam.

This was our first cruise and we had the best time despite the rough seas & rain! So much so, we’ve booked to go to sunnier climes on ARVIA next summer! ⛴️
We enjoyed it too. We may have a little trip on Arvia ourselves coming this autumn, stayed tuned.
Such a shame about your weather, we were lucky to have warm sunshine in April a couple of years ago, Olden is stunning 😊

Yes it was. However the archery wasn't so good, that's why that clip was so short.
Amazing vlog, I thought being from Wales Olden weather would have been a home from home. 😂The Viking museum you visited looks far better than the one i went to in Avaldses in May. What video editing software do you use for your videos ? Thanks a fellow valleys boy.
It was a bit wet , even for us. I use Final Cut Pro to edit the videos, Cheers.
Mel looked menacing ,has her blood got Viking in it,a hot sauna kind of place any hot tubs etc . Ship looks fantastic along side,raining off /on here all the time with pockets of sunshine someone said a place in Norway gets fifty sunny days a year on average less than us I think you feel at home with the weather !loved Judith charmers a voice to listen too yes always had sunshine and a glass of something bless her.captain outranks you there and don’t argue with Mel it’s in her blood .😮Marcus champ with axe aim good.mad Marcus in the mansion with axe!😮
I don't think Mel's got any Viking blood but she's from Wildmill in Bridgend so she's far more menacing!

Sorry you got rained on in Olden, the sky lift would've been amazing, we did it last visit there,outstanding views from the top. If you get back there we recommend you do it. Flam looks stunning, not been there yet.

Lovely video. I am going on this cruise and i was just wondering how easy it was to get to the viking village from where you docked? Did you go as a pre-arranged tour? Get the bus? Im just trying to get the feel for how easy this is to do as I will have my little one with me
We took a transfer bus from the port. We booked through the company Norways Best, the Viking Village ticket they sold included the return bus fare.

Very nice trip to see the Fjords, looks like they takes you to the smallest villages at the end of some long Fjords? ah well the mountains were nice.
What camera are you using?
I use a mix - on this I used my GoPro10 and a Canon R7.
GoPro10 is good when it works but is very glitchy.
Canon R7 is very good but is quite big.
For a small vlogging camera with good low light I would look at the DJI pocket 3. The new iPhones from 14 onwards have very good cameras.
The camera quality on todays video is absolutely amazing

I get better views than this just travelling in my car from Pontypool to Abergavenny. And when I have done my shopping at Waitrose I take myself to wander the lanes of the main town where I am spoiled for choice of lovely shops and cafes.
But are there any Vikings there?
Btw it is pronounced Flam, like Flom. You completely wasted your experience there by not taking the amazing train up to Myrdal, considered to be one one the best rail journeys in the world.
We don't agree, as you put it "wasted" our experience! We enjoyed our day and we can alway go back. Next time we'll check the 'rules'
