Enjoyed your Norway Vlogs. We did our second ever cruise to the Fjords on Iona this month and loved every second of it. Think we could easily become cruise addicts !
We stayed on board while our ship was docked at Tunisia. Was great having the ship to ourselves just about. Hearing the stories when the other passengers came off their trips,I was glad we did.
Awesome video as usual. Im happy to hear your guys are started to get addicted to cruising lol. Perhaps plan to take 2 cruises a year(7 night cruises) or you can take shorter cruises(3-4 days) as this will allow you to save more money and cruise more frequently. For the value and time you get they are really worth it! Hope to see your autumn cruise soon!❤
We were on Iona a week or so after you and did the Haugesund coastal walk in the rain, can confirm its not as much fun 😂. Love your videos, especially Marcus's observations and sense of humour! Cruising is addictive, we have done two now as well so need to book another to keep up with you 😉
I think you’re looking at a cross Atlantic repositioning cruise! My guess Southampton to Miami or New York. Loving your vlogs. Can’t wait for the next one. 😊
We just did Porthcawl to NYC, there and back, on Cunard QM2 (with a week in the US in the middle for the 4th) and it was fantastic. QM2 is a much smaller ship than the big P&O ones and there is a lot more room in the theatres, restaurants, bars, and the public areas. Drinks, internet, and service charges are a little pricey but we thought it was well worth it. Daily high-tea in the Queen's ballroom is an event not to be missed. Highly recommended
Hi, I think the lighthouse was about 3 miles each way from the ship. Nice in the weather we had but not so good in the wind and rain. The national monument and the cross we passed is about 2 miles from the ship.
We were on the same cruise, Haugesund was our least favorite port as we only visited the town. The coastal walk looks amazing though, thanks guys great blog
Recently been on one cruise only on Ambassador Ambience to Norwegian Fjords. All very good including weather. Big BUT though. Pollution and imposition. Sailing in the beautiful crisp clear fjords early morning but seeing the terrible exhaust fumes spewing out the funnel and filling the fjord was depressing. Then docking in front of a beautiful hotel whose window and balcony views were filled by the vast side of our ship. Embarrassing. Knew this could not continue for long so grab it while you can. The ship sails anyway!(joke).
We were in Haugesund last week on our Princess Cruise of the Fjords this was our least favourite stop the town seemed a bit run down lots of closed down shops etc quite sad to see.
Was our least favourite port as well 1 long ok street in the centre but not so nice away from it .Didn't like the place Pao should drop this port if we stop there again will either stop on ship or book something away from it

Very nice video. Thanks Marcus and Mel.
Hello and thanks 👍

We really enjoyed the trip and agree, it could become very addictive.
I’m sailing to the fiords in 2 weeks, after seeing your video I think I’ll spend the day on board!

"They're still plundering till this day" is the best line. Only few will get it. LOL. Great video guys
👍
Looks like your hooked.
We did a 7day Norway cruise about 6 years ago and haven't done a land based holiday since!
Cant wait for your next adventure 👍
We MAY be going on another cruise in the autumn 🤞

Thanks for watching. We were lucky with the weather for the walk. Yes, it is addictive and we think we will be on another one by the autumn.

Hi both, have a good week.
I think you’re looking at a cross Atlantic repositioning cruise! My guess Southampton to Miami or New York. Loving your vlogs. Can’t wait for the next one. 😊

Our friend Sean (who appears in some of our recent food vids) has done the QM2 and also speaks highly of it. We just have to start saving.
@@chak06880 Glad the driving video was helpful. We would love to cross the Atlantic on the QM2. We have to start saving for it.
how long did it take to walk to the lighthouse and what is the distance? We are on Aurora in August and might do the walk.

@@flydriveexplore thanks very much for the information, if its dry will probably go to the monument.
Carry on along the coast path, (not to the lighthouse) but to the amazing rising tides horse statues…so much better!

Thanks. We're glad we did the coastal walk. Luckily, the weather was perfect for walking, it wouldn't have been too much fun in the rain.
