Love your channel. You do Wales so much justice! I've been to everywhere on your channel so I know how beautiful these places are. I have stopped going abroad for about 3 years now and decided to see what I have on my doorstep and I never realised how lucky we are to call this beautiful nation home!
And greetings on this Father's Day. Always glad to see old friends and new. Never been to St Govan's, though it was just outside my mapping area back in my uni days. This week, we're closer to home. Nice place. The hot tub has a view of Harlech Castle and a place next to the castle has crab cakes. Love this place. The pace of life is.....
Yes take care Marcus keep your head down!nice location despite danger!go to a holy place and take refuge and pray and reflect for a more peaceful world where weapons are no longer needed.great building built into the cliff almost hidden in the cliff.pilgrimage often rocky and hilly narrow paths to these places and they walk with crooks and very lonely place to force their thoughts and reflections and prays.we pray for peace for the future and safe travels to you dear Marcus.happy Father’s Day to you also by the way today Sunday.
My abiding memory of visiting St. Govan’s Chapel two summers ago is when I thought it would be a great idea to make the short (I thought) walk to see Green Bridge to the west. Three hours later, on the hottest day of the year, we still hadn’t reached it. Suffice to say, Chloe’s not come on a long distance walk with me since!
There is a story attached to this chapel which says that if you count the steps down and up you will not reach the same total. My wife and my two children did just that and came up with 8 different totals.
Wow the chapel is amazing! Thank you for showing us. At a beach in Christchurch , NZ, called Taylors Mistake, there are caves which people built small houses around and lived in. I wonder, just because of placement, if thats how the chapel became. The cave might of had a special meaning. Just a thought. :)
Govern or Gawain was originally a Welsh demigod, when the Christians were unable to stop the locals from revering him they re-cast him as a saint. When Malory wrote Le mort d'Arthur he would have heard of the exploits of this demigod and hero, and naturally included him in his story.
Sorry, but I’m not a fan of them or their supposed works. Like many conspiracy theorists, they have views I strongly don’t agree with and they associate with people and groups I don’t particularly like.

I was intending to walk there but the path was closed due to the firing. Quite glad it was!
Lovely place to visit. Love the off the beaten path places the most
It really is!

One of my favourites, have walked from broad haven to barafundle bay and back many times with a quick pitstop at the tea rooms in Stackpole Quay
A stop for tea at Stackpole Quay is definitely required.

Thanks for watching. I think the position is to hide it from the land from some reason.
I miss Wales
You are very wrong on the king Arthur story, there were two king Arthurs in Wales.
I'm not into that bunch!
@@flydriveexplore The truth is still the truth even if you dont believe it.
Arfur daily, and Arfur penus !

Wales needs more tourists.... for target practice? 😉
I can think of a few other people to use before we get to the tourists!
Read Alan Wilson and baron blackett will tell you the truth about the 2 king Arthur's.

Sorry to hear that, if you read the old Welsh history books that the British tried to burn the you would know the truth. Read for your self.
What does Britain need the tanks for? It's an island! Training Ukrainians perhaps?
The range was very busy last summer
