Do you ever doubt your ability to answer bigger than life questions like, “Why do I exist? What is the purpose of life? Can I know God? If so, how? Are miracles possible?” And if God exists what’s with all the evil in the world? Do questions like these ever nag at you? If so, you’ve come to the right channel. I too am a fellow wonderer who thinks about stuff like this.
I (Bobby Conway) am the founder and host of the rapidly-growing ministry, The One Minute Apologist, which is found on UA-cam and at www.oneminuteapologist.com. Here I provide quick, credible answers to apologetic questions that resource people with a hunger to defend their Christian faith. These videos will often include interviews. I’ve had the privilege of interviewing some of the world's leading Christian apologists. Among them are: William Lane Craig, Josh McDowell, Hank Hanegraaff, JP Moreland, Norman Geisler, Frank Turek, and many more.

David Wood is probably the most unusual Christian I’ve ever seen. He can turn on the creepy psychopath thing (like when he sings in his testimony on his Acts17Apologetics channel), but he’s definitely doing God’s work. I’m so curious about how he is with his wife and children.

He’s singing a part of a song from the 1939 movie “wizard of oz”
Tin man is singing the song!
      Here the lyrics:
      Wizzard of oz movie
      (1939 movie)
When a man's an empty kettle
He should be on his mettle
      And yet I'm torn apart
      Just because I'm presumin'
That I could be a human
If I only had a heart
I'd be tender, I'd be gentle
      And awful sentimental
      Regarding love and art
I'd be friends with the sparrows
And the boy that shoots the arrows
If I only had a heart
      Picture me a balcony
      Above a voice sings low
      (Snow White)
      Wherefore art thou, Romeo?
      (Tin Man)
I hear a beat, how sweet!
Just to register emotion, jealousy, devotion
      And really feel the part
I could stay young and chipper
And I'd lock it with a zipper
If I only had a heart

The Way I think I understand where you’re coming from. I will say that all people whom are restored in Christ Jesus will go through that process differently. Some of us are miraculously healed of broken aspects of our being instantly. Some over time with much striving and submission to Jesus day by day. Others must faithfully live for Jesus and be encouraged by the promise of restoration when we are united with our Lord Christ Jesus at the catching away, (not getting into pre/mid/post trib). Those now hidden in Christ Jesus will be changed, made complete as is our risen Saviour. Until then, we are to remain faithful and obedient to our Lord, in accordance to the Bible’s teachings.

    Nobody experiences guilt.
Guilt is a fact. A person is guilty or not guilty.
Conviction is a feeling. This ability to feel conviction can be dulled through chronic sin or a conscious willingness to reject regret for wrongs committed.
The inability to feel regret for wrongs can be reversed by God through the work of the Holy Spirit. However, there is often a strong unwillingness to allow God to do the work.

I am not a psychopath but I don't accept my feelings of guilt before I have understood it intellectually. I ask for forgiveness only once I understand it on a rational level. If anything, it seems like a missed opportunity to not analyze what your feelings of guilt are and what they mean.
Of course, we can have feelings of despair and the only way out is some sort of release or deliverance, in which case the feeling of guilt can (or has to) be dealt with before it is intellectually understood.
Feelings, I think, should be the starting point (if we have them) but the end or goal should be a more holistic understanding of the problem. It seems to me that if you are a psychopath you just lack the starting point so it has to be substituted by reason in order to get to the same end, a greater understanding.

I love David Wood and his ministry, but I don't live with him 24/7 either. I can switch off when it suits me. I would like to know how his wife copes with living with someone who is unable to show REAL empathy (because what he is showing is an imitation of empathy because he doesn't feel it). She must be a very special person. But even for David, balancing his life among people with emotions must be a big challenge. All glory be to God. I pray that one day Jesus will let David know what it feels like to have normal emotions. God bless David Wood and his family.

I am slowly drawn to Mr Woods. I am a Sociopath, if a lable is needed. He is absolutely correct about the differences of emotions between Psychopath & Sociopath.
I learned this many years ago. I will rarely state that I am a christian. Why? Because i dont know what version of christianity they subscribe to; and if i say that I am, then at that moment, they will judge me based off of what their version of christianity is.
Then if i want their approval, then id need to say and do the things like them, and Ill make myself bound/slave to NO one for approval.
Its those Christians that will scoff at others, claiming that they "really dont" have the real christianity, are the one whom Father spits out of his mouth, never knowing them. Why? Because they never knew him!
Moden christianity has become nothing shy of the beliefs and walks of modern day Pharases!!
Thank You Mr Woods, I its really cool to see others alike doing Christ !!

The concept of guilt has to be separated from the concept of necessity for Morality to work.
What is moral and what is necessary are not the same things especially under duress.

    • @catlyana13
      @catlyana13 11 місяців тому

Guilt is emotional intelligence humans have to recognize what is morally wrong. We can intellectually know something is wrong, and this knowledge works simultaneously with our emotional intellect. They are different, but work together, and are absolutely necessary. You can't throw emotional intelligence out the window because 1% of the population lack it. Psychopathy is a disorder, a hinderance to what a person can be, it doesn't exist by design.

@@mariusciobanu2025 For godly sorrow worketh repentance, 2 Corinthians 7:10. Without remorse, no matter how small, there is no change of mind. Even for a psychopath like David Wood, when he made the decision to become a Christian, to repent of his sins, and believe in Jesus Christ, there was some remorse invoked inside his heart. To say there wasn't, is ridiculous. It is an insult to God, because God can invoke godly sorrow in the heart of any person willing to repent. It also contradicts everything on how humans work. Psychopaths lack empathy and remorse, but are not completely incapable of it. It takes extraordinary effort for them to feel those emotions. It's matter of them wanting to and working diligently to build that emotional intelligence. All these Christians claiming sorrow is not necessary for repentance, are ignorant at best, and don't know their Bible.
