I own an 84’ El Camino, really nice car. Hopefully I can do something like this to my car one day. I’m the only 19 year old riding in a elco in my city. Good build man
Dude! I'm PB & f'n jealous! Sweet ride! Wish I can touch every single part on my 79 too. I love that satin. Every line on the elco just jumps right out. Awesome!! I gotta pause the video to just stare at your ride. Wow!
Just wondering if you wouldn't mind helping me along with my 1987 El Camino build. I've had the car for 2 years now still sitting on the car trailer. It runs and drives but not to my liking.
If you guys are working with limited space and or funds I'd suggest working on one area at a time and do the best you can there before moving on. Though plan everything out to avoid buying parts etc that don't work well together. Like start with a front suspension rebuild and upgrade components. Then move on to the rear. This way you can enjoy your ride in between. Tearing it all the way down can be overwhelming and you could lose motivation. But if its in the cards the frame off rebuild is a great way to go, glad I finally could do mine that way.
@@cdunson79 I really appreciate the response man. I like the look of that dash, and mine is kind of cracked up from age. Was looking for one like that or out of a 70's El Camino
im in love, great car!!! how did the camaro dash fit? did you have to mod supports or do any cutting cause i deinitly want to do that now that ive seen yours! was gonna use an s197 mustang dash but hot damn that looks so good
On this one I used Holley PART# 12643HKR. I hear these mounts set the motor down and back a bit from other brands but it worked out fine. The holley oil pan with these mounts sits level with the bottom of the cross member.

So far Ive gotten some ridlers 695's matte black, cowl hood, and bought a 2002 tahoe for the ls swap 5.3. Currently doing body work
Very beautiful way to enforce the theme of the car “business in the front, party in the back”
Dude! This is badass! I'm doing a frame off resto-mod on my 80' El Camino. You've given me some inspiration.
Love the car I have a 1981 elco an I love it can’t wait to start that project
On gawd you capn
One word. . . . SWEET. I love everything about it.

Chevy loud Chevy proud 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
Where is the dash set up from, and what are the items? I've been looking for something exactly like this. I have a 1980 El Camino I'm building.
Original dash replaced with a 1969 Camaro dash using Covan's classic gauge panel and Autometer gauges.
@@cdunson79 A 1969 dash huh? Did you have to modify a lot to get it to fit?
very tiny bit on each corner on top and the make some mounting points. otherwise width etc is near perfect.

A great build, until they switched to the mat black paint!
Heh - that may change. I still like the gloss black but decided to plastidip it for awhile.
@@cdunson79 Hope you go back to the gloss black! I love the car. I've had 1 since 1976. Been through 11 of them. Can't wait to see more of yours!
I would rather have gone with an 87
88 SS monte carlo front clip. Choo~Choo.
Yeah, I'm not a fan.. makes the front end even longer/bigger. Thanks tho!
