One of the best auto videos I have seen, this bloke knows how to put it across 😀
I'm digging those orange pipes.
We back!!!
Another handy video! Thanks, Bryan!!!
Clear and straight to the point, as usual.
Will give your oil recommendation a try! Glad it looks to be an easy job
Thanks man! This was right on time video, a week ago I was doing this job on my 2012 abarth, did not remove the wheel and I didn't have enough room to remove the bolt, so now seeing your video I'm all set now!......shalom!
Turn the wheel full lock left and with one 6" extension you can access the bolt with stock chassis bar, for anyone else watching.
I already knew how to do this but goddamit when NGEN uploads I watch.
Seconded.
Thanks for sharing this! I just got an Abarth and looking forward to DIY maintenance. You just got yourself a new subscriber 👍🏾
ohh my i need to do this thank you!!!
Just did this thanks for the vid!!!🙂
Thanks for the help on Saturday Brian, after tons of diag. We determined that the problem ended up being the PCM or ECU behind the battery, I ordered one from LKQ, it should be here this Thursday
This channel is gold! 🙌🙌
Yes it is.
Super easy 👌
Just watched this and I think this is the first time I've seen you work on a car without gloves!
Looks like I’m busted…. Lol
Ottimo lavoro
Well done 🥇🔝🏆
Great video..can you do one on the braided brake lines
Thank you
Thanks one shortcut way
Very clear and appreciate the detailed list of tools required. Do you know the torque setting for the drain plug? Thanks.
Nice video 👍
Is there a way to check the oil level in the transmission without draining?
Thanks. Im getting ready to change the fluid on my '18 renegade 1.4 ltr, 6 speed manual and i figure this is similar.
You are the only one that offers expertise work on these cars, keep up the good work. I'm starting to wonder if I made the right decision in draining out the old manual fluid and refilling it up with mopar c635 I don't have an Abarth just a none turbo but now it seems like it's making a funny low winding sound.I wonder if i could use that blue bottle fluid you used on the Abarth
It's been a year, what happened? What did you do? I just dropped the oil on my pop and I'm debating if I should use the royal purple or full synthetic w75 90 valvoline
Invest in a Zoom H1N and a lapel mic. Maybe $200 after tax. It will make these videos way more audible. Thanks for the tutorial.
No lock tight on the plugs when reinstalling? Here's another question: What is the old oil supposed to look like? My oil had some beige in it and mostly brown.
Hi I have a 2012 Fiat 500 sport manual transmission
Is this transmission fluid right for this car ?
What will happen if I change trans fluid after 160k from original one ?
Kind of surprised nothing was mentioned in how different or similar an automatic would be
How often should you do this? my 2013 500t just crossed the 50k Miles mark. Was going to buy the Alfa plug wires/spark plugs and new Rotors/Pads glad you brought this video up because I feel like I should change the fluid too.
I recommend this every 30,000 miles
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance Thank you Brian!
@@Not_Hans - Hey did you end up switching to royal purple? If so, how was your experience? I was thinking of changing my fluid on my 2013 500 abarth too, and I was wondering if you felt any clear difference. Thank you!
@@greyshadowmeare3822 yes I did, and I can 100% feel the difference, the car goes in and our of Reverse much easier, gear shifts feel cleaner.
My clutch needs to be replaced because of a Stage 1 tune i had done and it for sure cant handle the 210whp the car now makes.
Its worth the price!
Another great video! Any plans on doing a flywheel/clutch install or maybe even an LSD? Asking for a friend. 😁
Not at this time. Next video will be of the new platform….
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance New platform?
You’ll see….
Will this apply to a 2013 Fiat 500 sport manual trans? I just bought it at 99k and sometimes it feel as if it has a little resistance going into first gear.
It should be basically the same
Is there a CV axle video?
Not at this time
How often do you recommend doing a fluid change?
Every 30k
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance Oh, Jaysus. I'm assuming mine is OE at 94k being I just bought it 3 weeks ago.
Guess I should get on that xD
Thanks!
This will not apply to non-turbo cars. The 2012 1.4 n/a must have a different drain plug because this one is different.
Does this work on Fiat 500 Pop as well?
The procedure is pretty much the same but it has a different transmission
Does royal purple meet all the requirements and certification of the stock mopar fluid?
Since Royal Purple is considered a universal type fluid, it does not carry any official certifications for a specific manufacturer. This is a fluid that many have used for their 500 Abarth with great results. If certifications and testing by the manufacturer is very important to you, we recommend sticking with the factory fluid.
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance I'm gonna take the plunge into purple...thanks for the reply
@@evobudbrink how did you like the royal purple ?
@@JustCreateYou so I ended up using the Mopar fluid instead because Madness wouldn't say it's any better than the Mopar
Anyone know how to change the transmission oil on a 2014 fiat 500l multiair?
It's probably about the same, without the chassis brace. I'm about to do this on my 500L, as well. Pretty sure it's the same, as the it's the same engine.
i would put some new oil in to flush all the dark old oil out
What's the grade of that Royal purple transmission
75w90
It is not 2 quarts x(. It is either 1.65 quarts or 1.8 quarts)
Well bc we do have fiat and chance transmission fluid not one way
And the automatic change ?
