      i got my first push up yesterday but still cant do a pull up. do you have any tips for me ?

      ​​@@slimtickettpull ups are generally MUCH harder than pull ups. They also use different muscles. Try starting from australian pull ups, work up to 4 sets of 15. Then do negatives, then pull up holds, then pull ups. Remember, it takes different amount of time for everyone. I myself cant do a pull up yet, but cam do 16 clean push ups. I too started from zero.

      ​@@slimtickettfirst try to hang on the bar for 60 seconds . If you are able to do that you can definitely do one pullup.

    Ahh i remember my first ever pull up, it was a hard 2 months to even lift myself, now im proud that i can do 13 in one go, also i did all the things he mentioned too, really good tips

    just got my first unassisted pull up today! something that also helped me was using those large resistance rubber bands on your feet, then knees as you build strength.

    also a great tip is to pull up with your soulders(scapulas) forward. I'm training to do pull ups rn and this small thing helps alot. Chris Heria got some insane tips for pull ups for more in depth info highly recomend checking him out

      I tried that and I just can't pull up. He says you should do a rowing motion by laying back but when I do it I can't go up

    It’s possible everyone! I was able to hit my first pull-up in under 1 year after training consistently. Now I am able to 6-10 pull-ups max right now. Working on getting the rep range in the double digits now!
    This YT Short gives me nostalgia fr when I couldn’t do my first pull-up HAHA

    This is great but i have tried the jumping pull ups and the first time i did it, i jerked my shoulder and that was really painful. Fortunately, I didn't get injured badly. Basically, i jumped but i didn't have the strength to hold the pull up above the bar and i sort of jerked my shoulder while falling 😭 So, maybe we have to be careful with that too. Thankuu fpr the videoo!

    Actually how to do first pull-up/push-up “technique i did no joke” it was like 2 am and I listened to a motivation quote i was repeating it in my head lets take the most famous one like “no one believes in you,you lost again and again and again still lookin at ur dreams reviewing it everyday and saying to urself *ITS NOT OVER UNTIL I WIN!”* and then go for it..works every time no joke just try

    I have a question,
    how do I seperate the sets?
    cuz its lioke 4x5 or like 4 reps 5 times,
    what does it mean like that?
    is it like time wise like a 5 min. break or like on repeat nonstop?

      Do it 4 times in a row, then rest. Then do it 4 times again then rest. Repeat this cycle until you finish 5 sets of it.

    My gear routine ( im just an idiot small kid dont mind me ) (everday) :
    50 jumping jacks
    250 jump rope jumps
    25 chin ups ( assisted with lots of thingys because im fat)
    25 pull ups (assisted too)
    25 push ups
    [not in a row anything]
    Can someone tell me if this is good?

    Why dont you just do lat pulldowns and work your way up to your bodyweight, and then you can do actual pull ups

      I think it doesn't have enough core activation which are required for pullups. Many people also don't have an access to a gym, its expensive in countries such as mine. But again, it may work. Doing bench press is how i got to my first pushup

    But bro I never did any of these movements. I saw my friend doing pull ups I simply tried to replicate it and went from 0-10 pulls ups I don't know exactly how many months but I know i didn't do any of the movements or progession just jumped to main movement.
