I am the trainer in a Judo course for beginners where I encourage the people training with me to look for techniques on youtube as inspiration.
Your channel is one of my recommendations.
    Thank you Shintaro!

The throws yes, you just have to replace the grips for collar ties and wrist control

Hey, so, I have been practicing judo for now, 3 months? I have learned about seoi-nage but I don't have the power to "load" up my opponent, that means like loading my opponent on my back and then throwing him, maybe you can do a video about strength training for judo, and I think "at home" would be the best (basically using your body weight) that would really help me, also, nice video!

Just doing 'warm ups' and randori for some time will strengthen your muscles.

You can build a lot of strength with 4 comprehensive strength exercises: pushups, pullups, deadlifts and weighted squats. Normal variations, nothing fancy.
Use full range of motion and with slow, controlled movements. Modify the resistance of each movement so that you cannot do more repetitions after doing 5-20 repetitions of an individual movement. This is the typical ideal range for building muscle and strength. After a strength workout, give your muscles some days rest until they feel fine again before you train them heavy with strength training again.
I'm not a judoka, but I've instructed TKD for 5 years

I'm still only a beginner and I really struggle with bending my knees for Seoi-Nage, I think there's nothing for it except to rep it out until you can do it repeatedly. Shintaro's videos sometimes talk about too much rote Ouchi-Komi not helping your Judo, but there's a place for it if you're not yet at the point where you can consistent execute a passable version of the throw in static repetition.

Is teher specifil level where you should start adding foot sweeps if the place you train doesn't do much of them?

Why does he wear a bjj rank during a judo video? Seems disrespectful.

It's because Shintaro is trying to teach both arts on a Judo channel. I know it's confusing.

Is that even a Judo gi? Sleeves look relatively tight, like a BJJ gi. If he was, or intends to, train BJJ that session, then of course he'd wear that belt. I keep both in my bag and don't wear my BJJ belt to Judo, or vice versa.
I don't actually care, he can wear whatever he wants, but if you "need" an explanation, I don't think he's dressing for Judo in this video anyway.

@@madjackmadjack He's not a Judo guy, but an American bjj guy. They don't understand the importance of dojo etiquette or traditions. BJJ has become predominantly sport with no definitive governing body and no original organization. This why it never become an Olympic sport or reach the heights of Judo. They adopted the Japanese name, with alternative names for techniques and don't even bow to each other.
