Nice work! I have not mastered drum brakes. At this point I am not sure I ever will. Old dog new trick…

Thanks for watching! Doing the brakes is a lot easier off the car.

It has to feel really good making this kind of progress and having shiney new parts and rebuilt components waiting and ready to go!

Indeed it does! And there's no shortage of bits to make shiny and new :)

You're welcome. Made it through the week and it has now cooled off quite a bit.

Hi Ian another great video, did you give any thought to putting these onto a DVD I would buy one for sure. Better than a Haynes manual for sure. I am sure you have been asked before but where did you buy the sectioned drawing of the frog eye? I would love one for my shop

Thanks Ian. I like the DVD idea... you've given me some food for thought! The cutaway drawing came with the car, I just framed it and mounted it to the wall. I've seen them pop up on E-Bay occasionally.

What was the ‘brake lube’ that you used in this video Ian? Can I use copper grease instead??

Hello Matt. I used Permatex Ultra Slick synthetic brake lubricant... mostly because that's what I had on hand. I'm not familiar with copper grease so can't give you an answer on that.
