So would I. Back when I drove flatbed we used to always rip on the maverick guys for having automatics. I'm sure there's a lot more autos on the road theses days but back then they were one of the only companies running a full automatic fleet.

I’ve always loved traveling at night and seeing all the trucks lite up! The more lights the cooler they glow! I had an 03 dodge about 10-15 years ago and had 47 running lights on it, and was starting on lighting up my gooseneck when hard times hit, and I had to get out from under the payments. It seems that you like the night driving with what little I have been able to watch.

The chain damaging that tire was completely avoidable is the slack/tag end of the chain was secured with either zip-ties or safety wire. Personally I like to use safety wire to secure chain and zip-ties to secure straps. From hauling all sorts of different equipment that always seems like a door or access panel would pop open going down the road I found that a 6 inch wide roll of “stretch wrap” is far handier than a roll of Duct Tape or anything else for securing them shut with minimal chances of damaging the paint, panels or doors.
As far as the strobe lights myself I don’t like a permanent mounted strobe on the roof of the truck/sleeper. Especially if it means removing that aero deflector on the roof of the sleeper because even if I don’t think they look the greatest sometimes there is no denying they do work. That said it is not hard to either mount a telescoping mast that can be attached to the headache rack or add a clamp and a bracket to your mirror frames when you need them. Additionally the problems Tim was continuing to have with his headlights should of been taken care of prior to starting the trip. The old man who broke me in on long haul trucking beat it into my head that before you start a trip you fix what needs to be fixed and brakes, engine, tires, lights, suspension were the top of the list. To say the least he was a firm believer of the 5P’s (Prior, Planning, Prevents, Piss-Poor, Performance) But like the popular sayings goes “You’ll have this now and then on these big jobs or like my daddy used to say Sh*t Happens but it just seems to happens to some people more often than others.” Things that make you go Hmmm. Finally I had to sniggle when Tim was moaning the amount of fuel he had used but yet it was him that had his engine “turned up to 850” 😂🤣😅

Even the oldest one I’ve ever used you block up under the deck and lower your airbags on the truck and adjust the right height or too get it setup to unhook raise it back up and then remove the block then unhook. well if you cant tell a boost gauge from simple metering gauges and a fuel level, it must not be all that important to you anyway, I saw the boost gauge just fine , it was the one that moved up when he hit that gas durp durp , it goes from 0 to 60 durp durp, like every other boost gauge durp durp, it would be near impossible to zoom in on just it durp durp, the video assumes you have a basic level of understanding durp durp, which is why breakfast cereal boxes dont come with instructions on how to get the cereal from the box to your bowl , it assumed you know that already durp durp, it assumes you have a basic understanding of gravity durp durp, in much the same way Gentry assumes you have a basic understanding of gauges durp durp ,.. .. dont ever get a job driving because you will go broke having to pay somebody to ride along and point to all the gauges for you

Hey, that airport behind his shop is where I got my very first ride in an airplane. In a Piper J-3 Cub back in 1957. We lived in a farm house up there across the street from the oil refinery.
    What a small world.

Pretty scary having guys just winging it with the heavey haul. Us guys that know about double drop rgn’s us that you always make sure your in hard level ground before you detract. Especially with a manual type trailer and get some ramps built up on the frame of that Pete
