I am the proud owner of an old Underwood typewiter, but unfortunatley it doesn't work as we cannot source the ribbon it needs. I still love it, it can just sit there and be beautiful, my new daughter in law thinks I am C R A Z Y !!!!!! Why have something you cannot use, it is only a dust collecter!!!!!!! I told her, I am ALSO a collector of dusty treasures!!!!! , she just laughted and shook her head. I am sure she is wondering what sort of home she is married into!!!! 🤭🤭 Crazy mother in law, but she is also a treasure and we love her lots, she has made my son soooo happy and I love her even more for that!! I love seeing your hauls. This one was very special. The dog stamp book! I had one and can remember separating the stamps to put on the correct page. There were others in the series. Cats, birds, horses African animals trees, were some of the ones I had. After lapping a couple of the stamps I would switch to wetting my fingers or pushing the stamps on a wet sponge because glue tasted so bad. I can’t image what happened to those books. Thanks so much for a wonderful flashback.
I saw your video on UA-cam, but I couldn’t watch it right then. But the little green book with the tree in the oval caught my eye and my heart skipped a beat. I just found that book in my memories file. My mother gave that to me 60 years ago with a big sketchbook. I did my first real drawing ever from that book. It was the little boy holding the balloon. I still have it, but I don’t think I can upload it on here. it was in colored pencil. I actually drew it very accurately, considering my age at the time Second: before I saw your video, I was online looking for that Edith Holden book. There’s one on sale on amazon for $17, but most are $40 & up + shipping everywhere. Lastly, re: old typewriter: put it out at Christmas. Type a letter to Santa, and decorate around it with garland, etc.. Thank you for showing us all these beautiful things that you found. I truly enjoy watching your work .
The curtain was Broderie Anglaise. The top part probably of a cafe curtain used in kitchen windows or originally back in the day as curtains in a glass fronted cafe. Yes I would have picked up the typewriter and displayed it with my office hole punch and office long stapler, both in that jet black. Awesome haul. Love it.
I have the "my first cookbook" english version!! Someone bought it for me when i was young, and i still have it. There are two recipes in it that our whole family still use too! The 'bacon and potato hotpot' is everyone's favourite and the special chocolate cake at tge back is lovely for a special occasion 😊

Plant guide was 1979. The photo corners may be removable with a heat gun. Flower lotto is amazing! The valance is an eyelet fabric. Those spool cards look like Delft! The last of the brown trims is called gimp in the US. The blue beads will go with your Delft cards! The plastic paper with the grid is called Contact Paper in the US- I think because it sticks on contact. The books are fantastic! And, for $10, you bet your sweet boopie I'd pick up that typewriter and take her home. I also think I'd see if I could clean her up and get her working. It would be fun to just type out a few sentiments instead of having to do it in Word or clip a bunch of letter stamps together. The conclusion is that I need to go to the Netherlands to do some thrifting. Here in SoCal there is nothing like this and the prices are horrific. Thanks for sharing your haul.

Hi Margreth. Loved your haul this week, some fabulous books, but you are like me and do not like to cut them up once you get them. I always have to find another one to cut up then still don't want to. The typewriter brings back memories, I learnt to type at school on one similar to that, not quite that old. They used to cover the keys so you didn't see the keys. You had to type what was on the board so you learnt to touch type. Yes please to digitals. Loving these hauls and the mass making. Oh you make me wish I lived in Nederland. I used to visit there but the last time was around 15 years ago (my great aunt and uncle lived in Amsterdam but they're not with us anymore). Never ever thought antiques and vintage books are so cheap there! If I found an antique Remington for TEN euros I'd faint. Here vintage books (especially the ones with coloured pictures) are ten or twenty times pricier than new books, and new books aren't cheap either. I have lots of vintage Dutch books but not the kind I can scan and use in a junk journal. I also have a set of two Dutch book about Indonesia from 1920s which are very pretty but very fragile so I'm too scared to even flip the pages :D I really really love your treasure hauls video, Miss Margreth.

What an amazing haul! The typewriter was a must buy!!! I went to a flea market over the weekend and found 6 Dry Goods catalogs. I absolutely thought of you since it is full of advertisements. I couldn't figure out how to send a picture, so just take my word for it you would love it. Lol
That style of curtain is known a Café Net/curtain and they go on a Café rod to cover the lower portion of the window. They get this name as they were often used at the windows of Café to give the customers privacy while eating but the ability to still see out of the window.
@@SevenplazaCreative It could also be known as a valance, I always think of a Valance as the decorative pleated mini curtain that goes above above a window, often on top of a long pair of curtains. But yeah, it can be used to refer to both styles. When I sold curtains these would have been sold as Café curtains/nets though. Still a lovely piece of Fabric with some beautiful Broderie anglaise.
Love your treasures. I notice a lot of your videos are using vintage documents. How about making a kit of printable of various ledgers and papers envelopes which you use? It would be great if we could craft along with you using some similar documents. We don’t have access to a lot of these things in New Zealand and Australia. I bought a ledger about ten years ago dated 1913 but that’s the earliest I’ve ever seen. I’d love a huge kit of documents and l different ledgers. I know you’ve done some freebies in the past which are lovely. I’m sure others would buy this kit too. Love your videos x
Cafe curtain is also similar to the valance (white lace with tab tops) you showed. The transparency box is for xerox….. a toner based copier. I don’t think it’ll work in inkjet printers. You could however take it to your local copier store/stationary store and have them print your images.
Eyelet🙃😊loving this haul. WOW I super like the the wooly yarn. I’ve used those snaps before when sewing. Coke had one of their main plants by our house which is where people would park for the Indianapolis 500 motor Speedway. Coke though isn’t my thing. WOW your paper with the old suitcases wwas so cool never seen anything like that. Give me that magazine book😅 WOW!!! Awesome can you say college, loving the ads.I’m sure a lot of those stores are no longer around and or most people are no long a live. You could frame some of those pictures of the old town that is a beautiful book. Those drawing need to be displayed. The countryman’s book I’m not sure I could cut up it is so beautiful. Yes I would have picked the typewriter up, it’s funny that this came up bc I was looking around at a storage sale and there was a typewriter there and a long time ago I used to own one but I have no idea what happened to it. In the U.S. we call that white plastic roll shelf liner or contact paper, in case you wanted to know. 🙂 The map book I don’t remember but then again my memory isn’t all that good, it’s a nice book. I love the old typewriter fonts and that one will be fantastic. I cant believe its a Remington. Edith holden book for 50c???!!! The Flower book from Blackpool (oh my gosh, I was gasping out loud, my family are from Blackpool and still live there to this day. Amazing haul. I enjoyed every second of it. You lucky ducks xxx

What an amazing haul! The typewriter was a must buy!!! I went to a flea market over the weekend and found 6 Dry Goods catalogs. I absolutely thought of you since it is full of advertisements. I couldn't figure out how to send a picture, so just take my word for it you would love it. Lol

That style of curtain is known a Café Net/curtain and they go on a Café rod to cover the lower portion of the window. They get this name as they were often used at the windows of Café to give the customers privacy while eating but the ability to still see out of the window.
Or a valance ☺️🥰
@@SevenplazaCreative It could also be known as a valance, I always think of a Valance as the decorative pleated mini curtain that goes above above a window, often on top of a long pair of curtains. But yeah, it can be used to refer to both styles. When I sold curtains these would have been sold as Café curtains/nets though. Still a lovely piece of Fabric with some beautiful Broderie anglaise.
Love your treasures. I notice a lot of your videos are using vintage documents. How about making a kit of printable of various ledgers and papers envelopes which you use? It would be great if we could craft along with you using some similar documents. We don’t have access to a lot of these things in New Zealand and Australia. I bought a ledger about ten years ago dated 1913 but that’s the earliest I’ve ever seen. I’d love a huge kit of documents and l different ledgers. I know you’ve done some freebies in the past which are lovely. I’m sure others would buy this kit too. Love your videos x

Cafe curtain is also similar to the valance (white lace with tab tops) you showed. The transparency box is for xerox….. a toner based copier. I don’t think it’ll work in inkjet printers. You could however take it to your local copier store/stationary store and have them print your images.

Eyelet🙃😊loving this haul. WOW I super like the the wooly yarn. I’ve used those snaps before when sewing. Coke had one of their main plants by our house which is where people would park for the Indianapolis 500 motor Speedway. Coke though isn’t my thing. WOW your paper with the old suitcases wwas so cool never seen anything like that. Give me that magazine book😅 WOW!!! Awesome can you say college, loving the ads.I’m sure a lot of those stores are no longer around and or most people are no long a live. You could frame some of those pictures of the old town that is a beautiful book. Those drawing need to be displayed. The countryman’s book I’m not sure I could cut up it is so beautiful. You are so lucky to find such great books. I love the size of the orange book. Could it be pride and prejudice in German ask Luise☺️😊 I have that same Edith Holden book. I ordered it from WORLD BOOKS but mine wasn’t .50Ero🙃 😊 my Remington was super heavy too. All it needed was a tape. You really should try and use it. Love it. Yes I would have picked the typewriter up, it’s funny that this came up bc I was looking around at a storage sale and there was a typewriter there and a long time ago I used to own one but I have no idea what happened to it. In the U.S. we call that white plastic roll shelf liner or contact paper, in case you wanted to know. 🙂 The map book I don’t remember but then again my memory isn’t all that good, it’s a nice book. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Margreth. I dont know how many times my jaw dropped open. Yes, I would definately have picked the typewriter up!! I would clean it up and use it also. I love the old typewriter fonts and that one will be fantastic. I cant believe its a Remington. Edith holden book for 50c???!!! The Flower book from Blackpool (oh my gosh, I was gasping out loud, my family are from Blackpool and still live there to this day. Amazing haul. I enjoyed every second of it. You lucky ducks xxx
