About Prince William’s absence in the memorial. I think media is being very cruel and callous now. His father has been diagnosed with cancer, his wife has undergone a major surgery and his brother and sister-in-law are bombarding him and his family with malicious messages in their interviews and ”documents”. The Hulu piece that slandered him came out just before this. He is under enormous mental stress. Are Prince Harry and his wife the only persons in this world who are allowed to have traumas and psychological problems? Prince William may simply have feared that he would broke down reading that piece in the memorial of his godfather and thought that media would have pounced on him because of that and that would have been fatal because he MUST keep his calm in public. People are not made of steel, not even royals. They have limits, and I think that now media has completely forgotten this. Prince Harry harps on about his mother and how her death has traumatized him, but he was not her only son.
It could be something as simple as, William had a bad stomach that day. The palace couldn't say he was ill because all the idiots out there would go into overdrive. He would have gone if he could.
As with everything she (and H) does, it will be a total bore-fest.
Sympathy to Lady Gabriella and family. Perhaps at some point Lady Gabriella will join the Royal Family as a working Royal.

If Megs had launched her Tig/ homewares / merchapalooza during lockdown when everyone was ordering on Amazon she would have made bank. Now her rep is toast, especially in the homemaking market. What do Ina, Martha, Joanna and Gwynnie all have in common? They love their families! They love and respect their parents and grandparents, and they adore family hangouts and celebrations. The late Queen couldn't even entice Megs to Balmoral for ROYAL Christmas for goodness sake!
Look at the pictures of Lily and Archie's first birthdays. No guests, no party, just a merched birthday cake.
Also the lack of hygiene and cultural awareness in that Afghanistan cooking photoshoot was next level. Bare arms, dangling hair, full jewellery, no gloves. Afghani culture is all about modesty. They also LOVE their families and have huge respect for their elders.
Meghan reads magazines, not books. Most academics read books, not magazines.
At this point, I believe that no one cares or has any respect for Meghan Markle. Most of the world will refuse to watch anything she does or promotes. She is not all that she believes she is. It would be better to stay out of the media for years and work on herself to become a better human being.

The memorial service wasn't a royal event; it was a family event. Prince William attended the funeral before, so this isn't a snub. Via Neil Sean last evening, one of the Wales' boys apparently hurt themselves at school, so William was needed at home since Catherine is under doctor's orders not to "overdo". People are making this a huge deal, but it simply isn't. It's a parent who couldn't attend a family event because their child was injured. M is desperate to be Catherine or Diana 2.0, but no one is buying it, so she's going to try to morph into one of the popular "warm" US celeb women now. The problem is, you have to be *authentically* warm and approachable, but she's not, and her victim narrative and narcissistic behavior hasn't helped. She did okay with Tig because no one really knew her, and she was selling herself very differently (and taking ideas from others, including her chef boyfriend). Ah, well, you're right, they could've done so much after Megxit instead of trashing the family and country, but I suppose that was too much work, and the hot button issue was ra ce at that moment, so, as became their usual move, they jumped on a bandwagon and used whoever they could to push the narrative.

Meghan Markle DID NOT create “the welcome project” and this must be corrected. The welcome project was created in 1987 in Summerville, Massachusetts and if I am reading their website correctly, Meghan Markle or Archwell have nothing to do with the welcome project organization.
