As a fisheries biologist this is fascinating!
I saw your blurb on it, but defiantly get a descending device. This will greatly increase the survival of the fish you release.
Awesome video. I only came across it because I was thinking of doing the same thing. You beat me to it!

Thanks for this. I'm gonna use some of these tricks, adapted to my conditions on the Haliburton Highlands next week. Looking for my first ever in open water and hopefully you smoothed the learning curve by a couple of years.

No one did. I don't know anyone targeting Burbs like this in the summer. We studied and planned out the migratory pattern. Took us 3 years to figure it out lol.

this is on Georgian Bay? I would have thought out west somewhere, or way up north. Looks like lots of fun, great video!
No jetskiers, no sunburn, no CO's or other boats to worry about.....really looks like you guys found a piece of paradise out there!

I was just using my spot light. But a UV light works best. Can buy cheap on Amazon for like 5-10 dollars

Did you just find a deep hole and jig there? Or was there a type of structure close that you fished? We catch a few in the summer but it’s hard to find a consistent area. And the deepest part of the lake is only 75ft. Any tips ?

Find a ight elevation in the deepest part of the lake. An area with rocks and cobble. They will move to the rocky area at night to feed.

Is there a thermocline on this lake?

What are they naturally eating that deep?

Gobies. Stomachs are full of them.

@@FoxFishing4K did you ever catch them before the gobies? If so what then?
