    The slow video and the recap makes this a topnotch video. Thank you!

    This was so incredibly clear and helpful! I’ve been looking for a video that shows the burrito method on a sleeveless garment, and this is the first time I’m not confused. Thank you so much for making it less intimidating!

    Brilliant video. Using different fabrics for outermaterial and innerfacing was crucial for understanding. Great job.

    In college we had a class that taught us couture methods and shortcuts from the clothing industry. After sewing the neck area, we trimmed the facing/lining edge 1/8” before sewing the armhole, then proceed as you showed. That was how we insured the facing never crept out . Great video.

    So grateful for this tutorial, I had watched many other videos and my sleeveless top had to wait until I could find one to help me conceptualise this process. Thank you thank you 🎉

    You guys - I tried this last night for the first time ever on a plissé and rayon voile dress and it came out FLAWLESS. This was the first time it's made sense to me. Thank you soooo much! I'm so delighted with my squeaky clean arm holes.

      PS - My dress has a Chelsea collar backed with lightweight fusible interfacing and it was no problem whatsoever. If anything, the stability helped me hold the fabric roll out of the way during stitching.

    Great content! Thanks so much. ❤ How the universe works lol. I download a tank dress pdf pattern, there was no mention of a lining, but I want one. Today, here’s the method. This helps so much.

    That looks like a magic trick! Thank you for sharing it! Would you use the same method with a knit? If so, would you serge the seams instead?

    • @SeamworkVideo
      @SeamworkVideo  Рік тому

      This is not a commonly used technique for knits since those are often finished with ribbing or a band at the neck, but you could give it a try!

    Just to clarify - would this work with a dress that everything has been sewn together except the armholes? I'm trying to alter a dress to fit me, but the lining is only on the bodice, not the skirt. Every time I try to put the armholes together, the shoulders get trapped in this weird infinite loop. This method was suggested to me. Would I need to change my technique?

    • @SeamworkVideo
      @SeamworkVideo  11 місяців тому

      Is the dress you're altering sleeveless? That's what this method is intended for. If it is, then this method should work for you!

    Silly question but would it work with a lined sleeveless top? Last time I did a facing it showed through the dress….

    • @SeamworkVideo
      @SeamworkVideo  Рік тому +1

      Hey Denise, this method is for a lined sleeveless top, so you're in the right place! :-)
