Hi, I’m a 59 year old beginner sewer who fell upon your videos by chance when browsing and I’m so happy that I did. (I hated sewing when I was younger, because of a sewing teacher I had at school!) I absolutely love your detailed instructions and the video shots are so clear and easy to understand. I’ve been sewing for almost a year now - simple things for the home and some easy bags (generally, square/rectangle based stuff) and I’ve not had the courage to feel I was capable yet of moving on to clothes. However, your enthusiasm and explanations have made me change my mind and I can’t wait to get started on some simple tops and T-shirts. Thank you so much. 😊

You can teach an old dog new tricks! I haven't done much garment sewing in years but I am getting back into it, I had never seen the Burrito method you showed and it's great. The last time I made a little girls dress I did a similar facing and remember that I had to review the directions several times because my brain couldn't "see" how It would finish. This method with the video simplified it and made the facing lay so nicely. Thank You

I'm trying to teach myself to sew in my retirement and sewing necklines & armholes has so far resulted in ruining 3 tops and several more screaming banshee outbursts. I've looked at many many videos wondering 'why can't I just sew the necklines and armholes rolling them in and sewing them before I sew the sides and shoulders. this is the first video that shows me exactly how to do that!!! Now I'm ready to try again. If only I can sew a straight line I may have a chance. I'll try on some old lighter fabric first. God help me if I can't produce a simple tank top!. 😂THANK-YOU! [P.S. I Love the facing idea too! - maybe that's a better option for someone with little patience and technique -oh wait! that looks way too confusing ]

Your English, like your explanations, is truly amazing. I can tell it isn’t your first language so I really admire how much work must have gone into becoming this proficient. Which is why I hope you won’t be offended with the following: both in this and another video, you keep saying “voven“ fabrics. But the word is WOVEN (from the word to weave). So, “wo” as in work, wonderful, or wow. I can hear many words where you pronounce the w in this way, including “working”, weren’t, and “way”. I dared write this comment not to criticise but because I know that, as advanced speakers, we can only eradicate fossilised mistakes and improve our English further by being corrected. I aim only to help.
    - Big Fan. 😊
