Sian KEEP the twills! They’re gorgeous. They are immensely flattering to you. I loved all your fabric choices but those two were my favourite when you held them up to you. You could make pants , light weight jacket like the one u showed with the blue crop pants in the phioto, skirts… or shirt dresses, or pinafores. They’re sooooooo delicious 😁
The opening of this video made me think about how plans change and sometimes it's for the better. With a fabric stash like yours, I think it could be really interesting to hear/see fabrics that you bought with one plan in mind but over time your plan changed and you made something different. PS. I would return the twills too.
The turquoise print is a show stopper! 😲😍 My personal favourite. As for the two Robert Kauffman solids, the colours are sensational, but if they aren't suitable for what you wanted to use them for, they've got to go back 😢
I love the Elephant and Chameleon print. So, so cute. As a winter, it super annoys me that most outerwear fabric is so autumnal. I want bright and flashy please.
I absolutely agree with you about the overabundance of "sensible" and muted outerwear colours. Yes - neutral colours are easier to coordinate but where are the vibrant colour options?! You would have looked beautiful in those watermelon colours. Big sigh. I hope that you are able to locate those vibrant spring palette colours in outerwear fabric because the Gertie coat in a burst of spring colour palette would be stunning!
Deffo send them back. I wish minerva would put weights on like pound fabrics. The sunset fabric from lamazi is gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing it made up 😊
I bought ‘Robert Kaufman’ twill from Minerva and I’ll be honest, it wasn’t Robert Kaufman (as I’ve had it from elsewhere), I’ll never buy it from them again as I don’t believe it’s genuine, some gorgeous fabrics!
Such a helpful video! I agree, send back the Kaufmann fabrics. GSM is so helpful, even an estimate from Minerva would be a bonus. How long does it take you to make an item eg. shirt dress? Also, do you protect your fabrics from sunlight? My favourites are the Lamazi purchases. I think the yellow coat will look amazing on you.
I would love to see the elephant print dress - that you plan to make from the same pattern as the dress you are wearing- with coordinating solid collar and cuffs. I like to see design details get more attention than they do when they are in the same print.
Always nice to see someone spending more on fabric than me! You have a lot of pretty fabrics there. I'm not so sure about the yellow colours against your skin tone though. Can't wait to see your finished garments.
Hi Sian I can’t remember if this was the video where you spoke about the chunky cotton knit but I just came across it on jelly fabrics. Significantly cheaper than Minerva and potentially different colours than Pound fabrics
It’s a shame that the cotton twills don’t suit the purpose because the colours are gorgeous. But sending them back seems reasonable. You don’t wear a lot of solids and they are very long lengths to just make a skirt from. So better to get that money back and hunt for the coat fabric you want. And you’d think a big place like Minerva would put the gsm on their website. The issue with something like “medium” is, do they mean medium weight compared to other twills, or compared to chiffon? Online shopping works better the more objectivity can be provided. ❤
That material in the dress you are wearing looks stunning on you!

I have had a few problems with Minerva weights over recent months. Thanks for doing these videos.
Lovely fabrics. I think the twills are really nice but if you don't think you'll use them it's best to return them and get what you want 😊

Wonderful fabrics
All gorgeous fabrics again…..!! 😊🇦🇺
No!!! Now I want to buy fabric, too! ❤
I second Turquoise Flowers At Sunset for a M7537, that will be flipping gorgeous!! 😍🤩 And pants to the two coat fabrics, I'm raging for you! 😠 Lynne
Thank you for sharing. ❤

Flowers at sunset is by far the prettiest!! 😊
I learned a new term! “Deep stash” I love it 😂 your sunset fabric made me go “cooooorrrr” ❤
I love the Elephant and Chameleon print. So, so cute.

The blue petals from Lamazi is the most me of the fabrics. 🍎
I used the Robert Kauffman Brushed cotton as a lining in a quilted jacket. It’s lovely but it does bobble.

The elephant and chameleon one migh be my favorite from all of them 💕

okay, now I need to buy fabric 😂😂
I absolutely love the yellow one 😍 It will look so good on you 🤗 Sad that the twills won‘t work, the colours are fantastic
I can’t wait to see the pink coat when you find the perfect fabric!!
