I just humiliated myself in an online community by a misunderstanding. So, after, I felt ashamed and I didn’t want to talk at all anymore. But this…it helped me to remember it’s not about me. So, what if I stumble through and stick my foot in my mouth? It’s authentic, and I’m trying hard to give myself to others and share love. I’m not perfect, but God will make me worthy. Thank you for the reminder of his grace.

@Patric Bernier I am not sure if this was directed at me, but I honored our Lord by not trolling anyone today. I also did not curse at anyone today.
I try to say a prayer of thanksgiving to God every day. Every time something good happens to me I thank God immediately. I pray the canticle of the sun by St Francis. I love that prayer. When I see the sun, I think it reflects the glory of God in all its splendor. Or I see the moon and think it is precious and beautiful. I saw a red moon on Saturday morning. When I drink water, I am thinking it is pure and humble. Or I see a person who is vey sick I think they are enduring suffering for the love of God. The prayer stays with me all day.

Thank you Fr. Mark for this insight into the Most Holy Trinity through the eyes of St John of The Cross. He was truly a remarkable man. In reading his works he constantly hammers home this theme of 'Nada, nada, nada' from St Luke's gospel: "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses himself?"
Thank you Fr Mark. Asking the Holy Spirit for guidance never fails. We will be guided.
I was on an outing with a group of 4-5 year olds today and we were doing pond dipping. The lady leading the group asked us all to stop for a minute and close our eyes and take in the sounds around us. While I was doing this I began to praise God for his wonderful creation and I can truly say I felt the love of God in my heart ❤️ viva Cristo Rey 🙏🏼

In the book ‘The hind in high places’, I’m learning that doing God’s will, even in the toughest times brings peace and acceptance which in turn, bursts into joy and praise of God because he has our best interests at heart and is looking after us. ‘The natural self’ is truly a hindrance in progressing in the spiritual life, whereas the supernatural self is found in the joy of praising the Lord with a thankful heart that loves unconditionally. I can’t imagine the joy one must experience to be completely emptied of self and to be filled with the love and praise of God, but with his divine help, I’m working on it!

Let the love flow out of you. Perform the acts of mercy. Smile at everyone you meet. Have a kind word for everyone you meet. Visit the lonely. Share your goods no matter how little with others. Listen and encourage people who are the most difficult. Listen to their stories and respond by "I will pray for you" and mean it. Hug your family members and ask them to pray for you. Ask them to forgive you.

I got something from St Teresa of Avila's "Interior Castle" and from the doctrine of St Elizabeth of the Trinity, on the relationship with the Holy Trinity. From St John of the Cross, I got the narrow gate and hard road up Mount Carmel to Calvary (cf John Bunyan).
There's a prayer for all occasions, there's a prayer for good health too. Lord's Prayer does them all, that's the thing. Yet, Hail Mary is good too :)

The altar servers are very well behaved. It can’t be easy to sit still for such a long time but it is a great practice for self control. I hope they are listening better than I could at that age (and even now. LOL). As a Catholic school teacher I know children can sit quietly and participate in Mass even as preschoolers.
