I, like many Catholics, are simply trying our best to do what Christ and his Church tells us to do!
I give tithes, i fast twice a week, I give alms. So do the Pharisees!
But I also go real daily Mass (not Zoom), pray 4 rosaries a day, chaplets of Divine Mercy and Precious Blood, Lauds and Vespers, my Legion of Mary Tessera, Angelus…
I’m consecrated to Mary, de Montfort’s style, to Jesus the Sacred Heart and St Joseph!
I’m telling to the Lord to take over in moments when I don’t know what to do next!
I’m scared when I read of holy people I admire turning to the devil and am praying to Michael and his angels to protect me!
Am I going to heaven? I’m trying hard! But until I am there I don’t know!!! Satan is capable of coming to exploit my weaknesses!
Remember Satan is going about like a roaring beast waiting to see whom he can devour! For this reasoning I try to suffer a host of ailments for the salvation of souls and the destruction of the reign of Satan!

This is one of your best posts Father. I look forward to listening to you. Even more look forward to going to Heaven. A decade ago I had a near death experience. I saw my own room in Heaven that is waiting for me. Inside the room was a sand clock counting down how much time I have left on Earth. That dream always stuck with me, how important is the time we have on this Earth.
However, as it is written: “ What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” - the things God has prepared for those who love him "
That is also what my/our faith has taught me. I have no doubt about it we cannot even imagine all He has prepared for us. Bless you Father Goring!

Father Mark, I was with God once..probably a very short time..but not sure. That was 34 years ago, and that instant changed me. There is no wanting in Heaven..no word for want with HIM! I was an atheist, and that too changed immediately. I'm on my way home...we all are.
I’d give anything to hold a palm at the throne of our Lord! Day after day. It’s the ultimate goal, to be with the Alpha and the Omega; to go where no eye has seen no ear has heard.
The glory of heaven is the reward for fighting the good fight here on earth every day. The joy of the victory in Christ.

Father Mark I am 67 wife my husband dying slowly of emphysema on Pallative care at home ( I have RHEUMATOID arthritis an injured back working with a child I have Sjogrens Sydrome and lypadedmia in my feet and ankles) i am his carer, we have been married for 50 years April just gone we have 5 married children 13 grand children and 1 great grand child. Unfortunately we had to sell our home in Melbourne Australia due to my husband's illness we moved to a small seaside country town 3 hours from Melbourne my husband managed to build us a home and we are debt free it isn't quite finished and it breaks my heart as this was his dream for us when we were kids it is nearly finished and breaks my heart we can't afford tradesmen to finish of the house. Getting to melbourne now my husband is in the last stage of emphysema is impossible. This makes it so sad not seeing our family, we have to understand that they are working 6/7 days a week in business that is failing and their trying to pay their debts, covid sent them to the wall. Hearing you wonderful sermon is heart lifting as most of us know being in heaven is a blessing but we don't know what to expect. So thank you! I find reading the bible very hard seeking an easier bible to read. I have been saying the rosary everyday for approx 5 years and l do feel angelic presence. When I lose something I pray to St. Anthony and he always helps me that is one of my clear signs that my prayers are heard. Thank you again Father Mark my next mission is to make Good Samaritan Oil for my loved ones. Please look this up it will explain all ! God Bless Barb

God let my mom call me one last time after she passed away in a dream that didn't seem like a dream. We used to speak on the phone every night at 7 and I do miss those phone calls. She said "Heaven is Great!!" and never sounded happier in that dream a month after her death. Still kicking myself for telling her we can't talk because she was dead as the image of her faded away as I woke up with tears steaming down my face. Thankful to God for that dream, it gave me peace knowing mom is fine and spiritual strength knowing Heaven Is Great! Felt the Holy Spirit reassuring me as I listened again.. or was it mom hugging me? Holy Spirit hugs are the best because they are filled with so much love! Thank you! God love and bless you Father Mark for this wonderfully blessed homily!

Thank you so much for this, Fr. Mark! I love to hear you talk about heaven, and how wonderful it’s going to be; my imagination is in its element! You help to make this life more bearable when we struggle with ordeals. But no matter how wild my imagination gets, pondering on the things of heaven, it’s sure to be way off the mark! The Lord has told us as much! (What no eye has seen, and what no ear has heard etc). I remember once, in school assembly when I was about 7, a little boy put up his hand and asked if there would be ice cream in heaven. The headmaster told him he thought there would be, if he wanted there to be. I believe that ice cream, as much as I love it, will pale into insignificance compared with what the Lord has in store for each one of us!! Meeting the Lord himself, Our Lady, the saints and of course our loved ones gone before us. What could be better?

The road to salvation began at the cross. The latter to heaven is the Rosary. Every bead is a rung on that latter we can grab on to, to get there.
Fabulous sermon, Fr! So true, life is 100 times better in Heaven than on earth, as Jesus promised. Beauty and glory beyond measure. The music in Heaven is beyond what we can conceive; joy and power unbounded.
Putting together all the good and holy pleasures of this world and enjoying it, is nothing compared to the pleasures of heaven we will enjoy there for one second! Every second there will be a new excitement. Learning and knowing the mysteries of God in heaven is always exciting. To learn and enjoy the mysteries of God in heaven will take more than eternity! In other word, heaven will never boring. Rather, heaven will be exciting for all eternity. Let us try hard to reach there. God bless all.
