For anyone who goes back and forth between new(er) and old episodes like me, it's funny, Rhett says Elk is swampy in the eating hearts episode too, literally first thing about it he says is it tastes like a swamp animal, and both this and that time he says alligator. So, while it's understandable he wouldn't remember, Rhett consistently recognizes the taste of Elk, he just doesn't know it's Elk.

I truly enjoy the more laid-back feel of these older episodes from years ago, before they had the huge crew, huge budget, etc. It was just Chase, Stevie, Jason and a few others. Now it's a 30+ person crew. Even the intro was more chilled and peaceful.
I get it that you inevitably have to expand and grow with time, but these were classic.

I like how the show used to be more of a variety and not just mostly food based. I still watch the new ones but I’m over the food stuff. I know josh is great and everyone loves him and he’s good at his job but I also miss non chefs making their food.

Fluffy Bird Production value has definitely increased, including the current season. However whether the quality of the content has improved that is up to personal opinion.
Link complaining that eating while blindfolded makes him feel sick is funny considering they went on to do that so much.

Hamburger can also refer to the meat. After all the name comes from Hamburger steak (which is minced beef shaped into a patty).

we had to disect a pigs heart in science class once. i cut off a chunk, cooked it on the bunsen burner and ate it... it wasnt bad.
They think wild boar, venison, gator, and snake are exotic? City boys.
To be fair, alligator and snake are exotic in a lot of places that aren't Louisiana.
Or Florida.
All of those except venison is extremely rare in all of canada...Even venison isnt as big as it should be, considering our deer population.
That's the script they wrote for those guys... probably to throw them off track. Not to mention they purposely gave them so many patties as hint that meat was commercial.
