I used to think vegans were insufferable meat-is-murder Lisa Simpson types who sneer at you every time you eat a chicken sandwich. Then I befriended two vegans; you could eat bacon cheeseburgers and pepperoni pizza in front of them and they wouldn't care. In fact, one makes very tasty desserts that you couldn't tell they were vegan. I guess I hit the vegan friend jackpot.
The majority of vegans are like that I guess your friends are just more mature than most of the other vegans.
