- Armored Core 6 (VI) - Ice Worm Boss Fight (Chapter 3 - Mission 27: Destroy the Ice Worm) - EASY BRUTE FORCE STRATEGY
Wait for the Ice Worm to slow down and show its face. Then fire the Needle Gun Shoulder Weapon “VE-60SNA”. It will destroy his shield in one hit. Then a big laser will be shot by your team that will knock down the worm. Quickly rush in to attack it. Repeat the same thing in the second phase. In the third phase some of your teammates get destroyed and the Worm is more aggressive and makes big blasts of red Coral Energy. Get away when he looks up in the sky and charges the red energy. Keep moving and wait for an opening to hit his face with the Needle Gun again. In the third phase he takes 2 hits from the Needle Gun to go down. Then again quickly rush in and shoot him up. Dual-Wielding Gatling Guns is great, they deal enough damage to defeat him in one stagger phase. Also shoot your other shoulder weapons when he’s down, the Needle Gun and Songbird shoulder weapons deal very good damage in combination with Gatling Guns.
Playing as a Heavy Tank Build is great here to have more health and stay alive for longer.

The long, intense buildup and then hearing the line “I won’t miss” while the surrounding audio cuts out was legitimately one of my favorite moments in any fromsoft game. Major props to the sound designers

Yeah, a total bro who leaves you to die at the Juggernaut. More like total backstabber. I went back to that bs fight with the 2 gatling guns and the op needle throwers and still died a few times. I thought he would betray me again at the Ice Worm.

What a cracking fight. The allies, the cold one-liners by Rusty, the enemy design, the lore drop and the environment. It reminded me of the Divine Dragon from Sekiro, a spectacle boss done right.
I’d argue this boss was even better than the dragon in Sekiro, as it can actually be challenging if you’re not good at positioning
And some reviews said that AC6 boss fights are not as memorable as Soulsborne.
Well I just did this fight and yeah. What a spectacle!

@@christopherlyndsay8611 Don't forget about Rykard from Elden Ring. Another spectacle fight done right that can also be super challenging if you don't know what you're doing.

I absolutely love the way Rusty's radio becomes more static when he overclocks the railgun, really makes it feel like there's a colossal amount of energy going into the next shot
and the glow from the distance. The amount of electromagnetic energy it's throwing out is mind-bending
Real "Operation Yashima" vibes.
It harkens back from ACV and Verdict Day with the Overed/Ultimate Weapons where your AC COM warns you against using it while in static. That's why Rusty is entrusted with what is called the Overed Rail Cannon.
“I won’t miss” is my favorite moment of AC6, and rusty has been my favorite character for since back at the wallclimb
There are many things which make this fight epic even if it's not the hardest by far. You can hear the sheer confidence in Rusty's voice, the fact that you start with a team and end up solo, the inner thought about how hard is to hit that face while thinking "please Rusty don't miss..." and he won't. A simple yet spectacular mission
Not to mention that Chatty "dies," in this battle. "Died" cuz Chatty is in A.I made by Carla as revealed in the arena option
One of my favorite boss battles in history… chills went down my spine when the first shot fired, the slight mute of the environmental sound effects and rustys one liner, felt like the first time I watched transformers as a kid
FromSoft are utter geniuses for this fight!
Man after fighting this I had to come back and listen to the rusty voicelines again 😩

When rusty said "i won't miss" i was in the air on tetrapod legs and watched the first hit like it was a movie. I had a chill go up my spine. I'm only 60% through the game but easily my favorite game this year

That ending is not technically the “true” ending so we dont know if he survives that ending but im pretty sure the one that kills/disables rusty is walter in the liberation ending

Fromsoft like to do expansions that tell alternate versions of the story. I'd love a campaign playing as Rusty
The crew is the best thing about this fight! They have such a good chaotic synergy between themselves. Chatty Stick is just heartwarming the way he passes on the message from Carla.
This was literally a masterpiece. "I won't miss" is the coolest thing I've ever seen in a videogame. The whole scene with the light building in the background is unreal. It's even insanely cool when he says "Watch out for friendly fire."
The whole environment and overall game design, which doesn't need Unreal 5 and 4090 for 60FPS at 1080p,... and delivers a cool story, epic maps/environment, "the atmosphere", ... it's a masterpiece in its own right. The only thing I would criticize are the menus on the PC.
That last shot by rusty is one the coolest things I have ever seen game of the year

FromSoft is getting better and better with their gimmick boss fights. The Divine Dragon was a nice improvement over Yhorm and Rykard was an even greater improvement IMO and now this Ice Worm fight as you work together with your employers for the first time was very enjoyable.
I just love every single line of dialogue in this fight.

This is the coolest mission ive ever played in a video game. Fighting the alaskan bullworm and Rusty's one liner. Just phenomenal. To think ive never heard of this game before!

I enjoyed this fight to the max. Epic & the allies around you while hearing the instructions & chats through Radio (especially Michigan) makes you feel secure & safe... I can't describe how beautiful it is 😢

This is my exact set up before I came to this video lol. Same 4 weapons and tank body. Just straight up erasing people in the arena too. I switch the shoulders to laser cannons and its a wrap. I painted my mech in desert camo and made an american flag logo amd plastered it all over the tank. I named it Desert Storm 07-04. Im having alot of fun with this game. I played the original on ps1 back in 1997 and loved in then too.
Some of these items are pre-order bonuses and are not available to everyone at this point in the game.
Double gatling guns song bird and stun guns are all available. The ac gear looks normal but if not it's I new game plus/ plus plus
