You do a very through precise description of the mechanical workings of the car and their functions for a layman to understand . Thumbs Up ! And the alter ego of 'Steve The Mechanic' adds to the story line , well scripted . Al in Dundas .
Thank you so much for the positive feedback. My mechanical engineering background won't let me tell the story any other way. I also figured it would be additive to the information out there for others to use as they work on their own MGBs. My daughter who is the real actor in the family doesn't believe that I need Studio and Mechanic Steve in the series, but I have fun with it just the same. In thinking about it, Mechanic Steve aligns with my 11 year career in Engineering and Studio Steve aligns with the 30+ years spent in software sales. Thanks again for tuning in to Maggies adventure and taking the time to comment!
As the other comments have said excellent video, very clear and your description of the process is great, best I have seen. Also much better without any background music. Thanks, this will make the rebuild for my 1968 MG much easier. Looking forward to your thoughts on rebuilding or replacing the components. Thanks again.
Gary.......Maggie and I appreciate the positive sentiments. As you know (or are about to find out) with your 8 MGB, based on their "simple elegance", these cars are so much fun to work on. Happy that you can now watch the videos without the distracting music. Please let me know how your own restoration is going and if I can be of any assistance based on the content of the videos.
Thanks for your reply and I agree, There is something about taking a mechanical thing apart and rebuilding it anew. The teardown has already been completed and I should have that video out within a couple of weeks. I am just finishing up refurbishing the parts that I am keeping and about to put it all back together. Hopefully that will be easier than tearing it down.
On behalf of Maggie and myself, thanks for tuning in and riding along. The teardown has actually been completed and I am working to finish the video......stay tuned!
Hi Mechanic Steve; Your video is very timely and informative. It just so happens I am going to restore my front suspension very soon. I've already removed it from the car. It was surprisingly simple to remove. I'm going to wait until you come out with your video on the tear down and rebuild before I do mine. That way I'll have a better idea of what I'm in for.
That's great that you are finding the information helpful which is why I am taking the time to put these videos together. the front end was taken apart several months ago and I am just finishing the video of that teardown which should be out within a week or two. To keep the video under 30 minutes, I did not include some of the issues I had removing some of the bolts. I can tell you that story if you like once you see the video.

I did this last year... It's a fun job and very rewarding!

Looking forward to watching you tear the suspension down.
