    This song is dedicated to Graham Nash after his departure from The Hollies leaving England and going to the USA to join David Crosby,Stephen Stills and Neil Young forming Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young.His real name is Graham William Nash.During those he had a relationship with the Canadian female singer Joni Mitchell.She used to call him Willy.

    Great song!! I think Tony may have been trying to throw off his adorable baby face image with that stache! 😂He is eternally young! It’s a gift! Even at 78 he doesn’t look his age!

    This song was dedicated to Graham Nash after his departure from The Hollies and England and his arrival in the USA to join David Crosby from The Byrds, and Stephen Stills from Buffalo Springfield and later from also Buffalo Springfield the Canadian singer and musician Neil Young forming Crosby Stills and Nash ,and later Crosby ,Stills,Nash and Young.During those years Graham Nash had a romance relationship with the Canadian female singer Joni Mitchel,and she used to call him Willy because his second name is William.

    Terry plays bass with his right hand near the tail, the opposite of Bernie whose right hand is usually up on the neck.

      As a bassist, the tail (or the “money notes”) are easiest to use for me. Up the neck the frets get smaller which might be easier to play maybe. But the money notes are easiest to remember and you won’t have to move to reach the lowest notes.

    After years blasting off them, John Lennon listened to this song and finally told them that he totally dig this sound - I bet he was always a fan of The Hollies (in the same way he was of The Stones) - like we say in Spanish language: tan solo se odia lo querido. He was never able to like/praise a Manc band bc he was from Liverpool :D

    The next year, The Sweet did Little Willy. Same chap? Back in the late 80s, in my favourite children's comic, there was an incredibly wimpish character called Weedy Willy.

      @@staypress he never wore a wig, it was bobby (the drummer) that wore a wig. Bernie had kept is hair well up until the 80s.
