I'll still always think the most heart wrenching and disturbing moment between these two is when Eobard explains to Berry that in high school when he was making out with his fist girlfriend and came right she touched his leg that it was actually him, Berry was probably bullied and got no further action for the rest of highschool. Diabolical.
The ending is actually pretty sad. Him happily talking about how his old self was a vicious monster obsessed with Flash, and how he doesn’t even know HE was that monster…
It's worth mentioning that he didn't just shake that girls head to give her brain damage, he went BACK IN TIME to when she was a girl and did it then so she'd live the rest of her life brain damaged. All because he got rejected. Insane
This is actually the best ending for reverse flash, and it’s the most Barry way of defeating him. Now I know why Barry was given a blue ring during Blackest night
Yup. The Flash to me is truly the hero of friendship and second chances, even more so than Spider-man or Batman. I say the Flash specifically rather than Barry, as one prime example is the scene with I think it was Trickster from the Justice League animated series, where Flash(Wally West) talked to him like old pals casually, got him to go back to prison on his own. I like to think the Flash develops those kinds of relationships with most of his rogues, like Captain Cold/Snart, Mirror Master, just kind of after awhile yeah being enemies, but also kind of being pals like one moment they could be fighting, the next it's masks off and they're inviting one another to a Barbecue.
i wonder if this total inability to change is a result of time travel. hes constantly directly interfering with his own past so he may have built up a snowballing feedback loop that essentially erased his own free will, so now he has to act on the same exact feeling of pettiness that started him down this road because its become his entire existance, rather than being stuck in time hes literally stuck in an emotion, and once that emotion was gone (due to forgiveness) so was he.

This is why I love Barry Allen. He’s such a hero, through and through and he always does his best even for his worst enemy. Also, does anyone have a source for the comic where Eobard torments Barry as a kid? in the silver age flash comics (barry allen’s original comic book appearances before dying in Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985) - where he wouldnt reappear until the 2000s), eobard did kill Iris, or at least it looked like it. He phased his hand into her forehead and she died. years after, eobard would attempt to do the same to barry’s new fiance, and this is why barry snaps his neck - barry then stands trial, and after being found guilty of murder he leaves to the 30th century where iris is, that’s where she was after she “died”. they have their twins and barry is called back to die in the Crisis.
This video just shows that Thawne is the only one Willing put in the hard. Meticulously shaping Barry's life with well deserved tragedy to make him a better hero. The way I see it every good deed the flash has done is because of the Reverse Flash, the real hero of the story...
The reverse flash is the ultimate stalker who could never have his own life because they are way to upsets with a single person. Forgiveness is a very powerful thing. I think that story shows in it's own way how powerful forgiveness can be.
3:57 the reason he can’t change it is because it is a called a fixed point for Thawne which is when you can’t change something no matter what cause it’ll cause you to cease to exist kinda like how Barry’s mother being murdered by thawne is a fixed point
Eobard seems like a narcissist, in the clinical sense. When Barry forgave him, he couldn't imagine it because narcissists operate with the suspicion (assumption?) that everyone else thinks like them. A narcissist won't forgive a slight, or let a vendetta go. Barry forgiving them challenged Eobard's whole model of how his world works.
I think the one good reason Thawne had a reason to hate Barry was when him and the Regime killed one of his ancestors and prevented him from going back home in Injustice 2.
Fun fact literally no one talks about - the Thawne in the thumnail is a different version spawned from a potential future timeline of New 52. He disappears and is never referenced again once mainstream Thawne returns after 2016's Rebirth.
flash is the best hero because he has a human hart to forgive even on the people who made his life hell . love too see more story's like this so untreated
Love your candid summary. You clearly know what you're talking about but you sound like a real person that enjoys the content instead of a copy of other content creators. I don't even care for the flash and you got me interested in him and reverse flash.
“I’m proud of you Barry” Words that would emotionally scar thawne……like how the tf does that work…I’m new to comics but Christ all mighty positive words made this man pure evil I love it 😂😂👍
For real. The story of Thawne's origin practically exists on a never-ending cycle of torment, predetermined fate and pure unfathomable hatred for his hero, and committing some of the most heinous, twisted and pettiest acts just to torment someone long enough to become their archnemesis and to constantly repeat the cycle, despite knowing that he will never win, is both an incredibly messed up existence, but truly terrifying to fathom considering Thawne's immense power. Just one of the reasons why Reverse-Flash is my favourite comic book villain. Eobard Thawne is the literal definition of a *menace* .
Thawne is a much too real character we see every day and even more these days. Pettiness is no way to live and it's not worth making your sole purpose in life, you need to find ways to make yourself whole and not just fill it with negative emotions just because it feels the most real in the moments when you have nothing else.
Eobard Thawne isn't just petty, he's literally the abstracta of pettiness. The very definition of being petty is "being like Eobard Thawne"

That’s it exactly, ultron views himself as so superior to all organic life that he can't bear to have come from a human, and much less that his programming, his very "soul", was made from the mind of a human and an insane one at that. He sees it as the highest form of insult.
@@ADAJ342
Personally I like more the explanation he gives in rage of Ultron....somehow he inerited all Hank suppressed pain, every bad memory and experience.
He is like a bottle so full that it cracked
Tony Stark created Ultron.

Barry really told thawne, "I have no enemies"
I know Kendrick Lamar has a photo of Eobard Thawne on his nightstand.
I honestly don't want Eobard coming back even though I know he will because his ending is amazing.
Barry: *Has a shred of happiness*
Thawne: Wait a minute, that's illegal!
"IT WAS ME BARRY I SPOILED YOUR MILK! AHAHAHAH!"-eobard thawne
The Reverse Flash is a full on menace 💀 btw you got any recommendations on where to start reading the flash I've started a little bit on rebirth but I don't know if that's the best place to start
I’d say right now is pretty good at 762 but if you wanna go all the way back Flash Rebirth is pretty good start!
I just started reading flash rebirth and did a review of it
@@Jacobflamecaster whats flash rebirth, i didnt find that kind of episode in flash, oo u mean the episode where he comes out from speedforce after 6 months
@@faiqamel4005 it’s a comic book featuring reverse flash
😈
in the silver age flash comics (barry allen’s original comic book appearances before dying in Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985) - where he wouldnt reappear until the 2000s), eobard did kill Iris, or at least it looked like it.
The way I see it every good deed the flash has done is because of the Reverse Flash, the real hero of the story...
the last panel was so sad it teared me up
The flash’s backstory because of anti-flash makes batman feel like the biggest drama queen in DC
The reverse flash is the ultimate stalker who could never have his own life because they are way to upsets with a single person. Forgiveness is a very powerful thing. I think that story shows in it's own way how powerful forgiveness can be.
Never was into dc and comics but came across your vids and I’m beyond interested, love ur vids man
This is such an amazing video, the Flash is my favorite superhero and the story of Eobard is literally so complicated but yet so good.
Some take the phrase "I'll make you wish you were dead" as a strong threat. Eobard turns it to a lifetime passion of vitriolic vengeance.
Imagine hating someone so much your entire timeline is just dedicated to stanning him and stalking his life
Barry : “I forgive you.”
Eobard : “You what?”
(Dies)
That moment is way funnier than it should be
3:57 the reason he can’t change it is because it is a called a fixed point for Thawne which is when you can’t change something no matter what cause it’ll cause you to cease to exist kinda like how Barry’s mother being murdered by thawne is a fixed point
*_"I'm Giving You What You Took From Me... Peace."_*
..Can't think of a more Barry/Bad🍑 thing to say
Eobard seems like a narcissist, in the clinical sense. When Barry forgave him, he couldn't imagine it because narcissists operate with the suspicion (assumption?) that everyone else thinks like them. A narcissist won't forgive a slight, or let a vendetta go. Barry forgiving them challenged Eobard's whole model of how his world works.
"It was ME Barry!"
Eobart should be thanking the gods that no members of the flash familly is as petty as him, because the talion law would be brutal
4:49 he also made him do that one thing early when a women touched him... REMEMBER BARRY!!!
The flash season 1 has my favorite reverse flash
flashpoint paradox flash is the best
@@amonnmusic that was a good movie 😌
@@ONEPEAKFRFR for sure

I think the one good reason Thawne had a reason to hate Barry was when him and the Regime killed one of his ancestors and prevented him from going back home in Injustice 2.
Fun fact literally no one talks about - the Thawne in the thumnail is a different version spawned from a potential future timeline of New 52. He disappears and is never referenced again once mainstream Thawne returns after 2016's Rebirth.
I think I just now realized Barry Allen is my favorite superhero.
From his name alone you can tell reverse Flash is the pettiest, most spiteful villain and its super funny to me
flash is the best hero because he has a human hart to forgive even on the people who made his life hell .
love too see more story's like this so untreated
This guy one of the GOAT villains. Can't believe the stuff this man has done Lol.
Love your candid summary. You clearly know what you're talking about but you sound like a real person that enjoys the content instead of a copy of other content creators. I don't even care for the flash and you got me interested in him and reverse flash.
“I’m proud of you Barry”
Words that would emotionally scar thawne……like how the tf does that work…I’m new to comics but Christ all mighty positive words made this man pure evil I love it 😂😂👍
Great story telling man. Seriously I could feel the sadness. I’m a Flash fan now. Despite the sadness this was great.
Thank you for once giving me a very direct and clear cut origin of the Reverse Flash, something I couldn’t seem to find until now.
6:32 This is just utterly disturbing even for Thawne.
I just thought the reverse flash hated Barry Allen this is actually pretty sad
Eobard Thawne is the literal definition of a *menace* .

the fact that someone so petty has this much power makes Thawne the scariest villain in DC
"It was me, Barry!"
In concept, I like the idea of Thawne. In practice however, it's hard to find a character more bitch made than him.
Thawne is a much too real character we see every day and even more these days. Pettiness is no way to live and it's not worth making your sole purpose in life, you need to find ways to make yourself whole and not just fill it with negative emotions just because it feels the most real in the moments when you have nothing else.
"you aren't subscribed to UA-cam premium, Barry."
Barry: i forgive u lol
Eobard: what
they do this stuff so you hate the villain and when he gets punched or gets cornered you get a huge satisfaction
Just remember, kids: If you pester someone that hates you enough, eventually they will HAVE to forgive you
Super underrated vid and so much improvement from ur previous vids , keep it up !
This is the movie we need from the perspective of Reverse Flash. Give it an R-rating. People would forget all about the joker for a while.
8:50 perfect time for the flash to start trolling him
Funny how dangerous reverse flash is and he still has a soft spot for Barry lol literally mad cause his bromance didn’t work out
