I bought this machine a few months ago and it is my first resin printer. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Glad to see it getting the recognition it deserves.
Starting pretty much at the top! Not a bad way to go. 👍
What type of resin do you use with this model? On their website and if I order one may as well order resin as well. My first 3D printer 👍
@@ninjapumkinI use UniFormation resin in my GK printers but have also used Sunlu standard as well with excellent results.
The calibration on the gk2 was horrible for me.
@@solarrage11 oh so sorry to hear! If you're in the FB group, we'll be happy to help if you're still having problems.
A wonderful 3D printer that I would buy if I hadn't just not long since bought a Saturn 8K.
The one thing that is holding me back with printing is support settings. Auto support in Lychee is a pain and almost useless. (Way too dense and the supports seem to leave huge dents in my print)
Any advice on that would be very welcome! Thanks!
- Alan
I use Chitubox. I use medium density on auto supports and have had great success with it. Try it out
Looks like a really nice printer. Maybe one day we'll get them here, but suspect our market is just to small
Holding thumbs for you.
Looks like some smart design choices that I hope others will adopt soon. The inbuilt heater is a nice touch and I can’t understand why more printers don’t use a latch on the hood. It’s such a desired feature and costs next to nothing. Most of us would gladly pay an extra $10 for a latch versus a cheap hood sitting on some magnets
Beware of that lid. It's heavy, and if it fall on your fingers, it hurts!!
I added a handle to mine, and because of where I've got it set up (back of a tool shed) and I can hook the handle in place as a safety.
Two big criticisms I've read against the GKTwo are: 1. It uses a cheapo quality UV light system, and 2. It only has one rail instead of two. I've also read that a lot of people have had trouble with the plastic tabs under the vat becoming loose or breaking (you can download and print new tabs).
I've been using mine for about three months, and so far it is has been wonderful. My old Saturn 2 is probably a duff unit from the factory, and it never worked right. The GK Two is a dream by comparison.
Hiya My Dad, or your Dad. Somebody's Dad...🤔🤣 anyway I've been looking at larger resin 3d printers and was wondering what would be your recommendation?
Seeing that you printed the rogue figure on this printer makes me want to get this printer for my first resin printer. I saw the painting video which is one of the first ones I saw on your channel that made me subscribe.
Great video, but you didn't level the GKTwo as stated per their manual, maybe that's the reason why you thought it came unlevelled ;)
Heater feature - does this mean I could use this printer in an unheated environment (garage / loft]?
Yes. I am using it In The back of my shop and there is basically no insulation at all. My other printers would 100% fail in these conditions. And it’s cheaper than heating the whole room in electricity ⚡️
@@Groundeffected thanks for the quick reply - what's the low temp of your shop?
@@jeffholt9437 I can check but in the back it gets down to whatever it is outside as I have a gap the size of a hand under my door. We have a curtain and another sliding door just to try insulate then back room from the front it’s really bad 😂
Came here for the review. Stayed here for the 80s music 💪
😂 it’s the good stuff
I did an unboxing video on this printer a little over a year ago. 😁 I've got two Gkone's and two GKtwo's and love them like my children!!! Best printers out there! I've had no problems with anything on the GKtwo and have been printing almost constantly since August 2022.
Do you have to vent it or is it good to go just in you office work area?
Hi guys. While printing, an error message pops up that says 'print error' and the printing is being interrupted. Any ideas? The strange thing is that up to the printed layer, everything looks great and then it just stops printing with this message. I have tried cleaning up everything, using new resin (or even no resin at all with the same file) and leveling again, but still the problem remains. Any ideas?
The file is corrupted you got to re slice. I have been having this a load lately with lychee since the new update.
I'd love to share ity with my grand, but the sign over there saying no balls games was a show stopper for her, anyway I share with other :p
Hahaha
Levelling looks akward and annoying but Everything else looks good
It is weird but you know what it’s really accurate though. You have full control over each corner. And because it’s held with two screws I doubt you’ll be changing it once it is level
any recomendation on the software. I just got one however the software is not really user friendly
Use lychee slicer
I've had one for about 5-6 months. I won mine, really like it.
Wow that was lucky!!
so like...was this company a scam their site doesnt even work.
Is my link broken? Because it’s no scam. The only scam is you not being able to get to the website for now! Maybe ad blocker? I dunno but this machine and company is definitely no scam. I wouldn’t mention them in almost every video if it were that’s for sure. Bust machine I own currently.
Btw guys they're comming out with a 12k version here in 3 days theyre gonna reveal it!
They did mention this to me but I’d already recorded the video. I can only imagine it’s gonna be awesome too!
Its upgrade kit to this model, not a whole new printer.
I went with the anycubic M5s mainly because of the cost and its a 12k printer, also its auto level. Its truely a good machine. With that said, if the GK2 was a better price I would've preferred it over the M5s. Im new to 3d printing and I didnt want to spend alot just to find out its not something I want to do. The GK2 will be the next resin printer I buy. Nice video brother
im thinking of buying a new printer. i bought my saturn 1 wayback and this one should be a nice upgrade... altho i was looking for a bigger printbed... hmm
Your Dad still saving my ching ching to buy this Green Machina and was curious about the voc being neutralized by that magnetic snap on carbon filter. Does it work as they say and this is in your experience with the use of this resin printer. Btw great information as usual and your channel wouldn't be the same without your special loving words at the end. XD
Hello I just want to say I loved your video. I thought it was very informative and equally I was impressed by seeing the sorts of things that you were printing on this printer. Could you tell me please, where do you get the superman print from? they look absolutely awesome. Many thanks my friend.
Flip cover and heater? Sold! The height doesn't bother me much as I don't print really tall pieces. Even the tall pieces I normally orient them diagonally
I have heard very good things about this machine! I could do with upgrading from my Voxelab 🤣
I love my GKTwo so much my wife is jealous... I just do not understand her sometimes...
Man I wish I had waited just a few months cause I have the GKOne and don’t get me wrong I love it but this is huge upgrades!! I want that heater for sure.
I just open video just wacth until 0:02 my openion it is look soooooo expensive whatever i m gonna watch the video
Since we've learned that a 4k will do us miniature wargamers good enough, i think its coming down to 2 important factors (moving forward): Price and impact to environment. The lower the price, and the better it does at being non-hazardous, the better.
Is it dependable long term? Doesn't look like the best reviews on Amazon
Looks like a great machine! What is the print height? It looks not as tall as my Saturn. This machine sounds great, I will look into it!
Suprised you don’t call this “juktwo”
Been waiting for this video from you for a minute. Just got mine 2 days ago and it is noice. Thanks for the vidja dad.
I concur I have mine now for 4 months and I'm 10 bottles down already .
I should have waited for this review before buying my first printer
I want to complain about the end of that video……………
I love background music
Nice price on Amazon US but Amazon Australia has it listed for about $7.5k so it may remain on my wish list.
maybe u can check it by our official links, and here big discount recently.
Vat temperature control should be a must for other makers… It’s a little bit expensive though, almost 900€😢
It's on sale for $764 on Amazon right now
Cashed in my Hilton points, used your code and the Amazon built in 5% discount. Paid $11.08USD. 💪💪💪
Looks like a great printer! Is the build volume big enough for the 1:6 and 1:4 statues you work with? I have a Saturn 2 but dont think it's quite up to the task of prints that big (or if it is it will take a week to print in pieces)
Yea dude. I did Superman and rogue both in 1/6th both on that printer and I’m pretty sure it was no more than two plates each and about 2 days printing. This is my prefered size machine for general stuff any bigger means you have to pay more attention because bigger machine also means bigger fails.
I clicked the link. Wow. $850 . Is this better than an entry level printer?
It depends what you’re looking at but yea I’d say it’s a step above entry level. Esp with a built in heater that cuts out a lot of issues that you may have from the environment alone. Only thing you have to do is get the exposure right.
I wish I had choosen that one over my Saturn 2. Not that the Saturn 2 is a bad machine, but that one is a game changing machine. So many features that make it way better and confortable to use.
Yea the features are what I think should be standard now days anyway. But I’m sure when it’s time to upgrade they’ll have something even better !
Not for the price it isn't.
looks nice. odd fdm style leveling. How is this an improvement?
It’s not fdm my dude. And I think it could do with some work but the concept is really clever and makes sure each corner is able to be adjusted individually
i was about to buy a saturn 3 or m5s to get into resin printing as a beginner, but now i will get this one instead for sure.
You won’t regret it dude. Honestly in love with mine.
Thanks for this test !
In jou thumbnail lyk jy amper soos Jack Parow 😆 Nice video!
Ek is kooler dan hom hahaha just need a longer brim on my hat!!
Kinda pricey.
nice review
Nice, how's customer service? 😁
From what I gather, all of these companies are in China and you can pretty much expect spotty support. But I will say that other than during Chinese New Year when you can’t reach anybody, I’ve had a good experience with Elegoo being pretty responsive.
Grand merci à toi pour tes vidéo. Pourrait tu faire un sous titrage en français pour que je comprenne tout. Merci par avance et encore ce que tu fais est génial.
Hey dude. Best I can do is what UA-cam offers. If I want to add extra subtitles I have to pay for an extra service and I can’t afford this. I don’t have scripts either so I can’t even use free options
tu peux activer les sous-titres et dans l'onglet des paramètres (roue crantée) les traduire automatiquement en français, c'est largement compréhensible
And…Duh… good video like always 😂 keep up the good work
This whole trend of covering up the smell with carbon filters is nonsense.
You need to vent that shit outside.
looks like a great resin printer, well thought out and polished. but at $750, that's to be expected. not really sure what the big deal is here.
