Hey I’ve worked in social media marketing for a bit but the digital marketing associate was still quite helpful for me, the first I’d say two courses are extremely basic but it scales up as the courses go by- for people wanting to build a portfolio in digital marketing and not just social media marketing this would be a good place to start.

Yes. There is a renewal process every year to two years however, most employers are more interested in hearing that you took the time to get the certificate learn the knowledge the first time then they are about seeing you’ve renewed your certificate. Unless you’re required to renew by your employer, or for a job, I would say, don’t worry about it
I want to learn facebook and IG ads for my own agency/ freelancing. Do you think I should take this course? or just learn the practical stuff through yt tutorials and actually running ads?
This course, especially the social media marketing would be beneficial. I am an advocate for free learning off of UA-cam. Meta certs will provide a more structured environment and get right to the point. All about how much time you want to spend hopping around.

You receive a badge only, i have done Media Buying , Media Planning and digital marketing Associate ! They were a bit challenging and easy at the same time, i do encourage to take them

You are correct. Meta doesn't do a good job of explaining the process. It almost seems like I have to take the exam before the class. It's confusing.
