I bought an Iridium keyboard for just over half the price. I absolutely love it! The Quantum seems very expensive by comparison.
I plan on buying this keyboard and the new akai stand alone mpc. Ive been making trap beats reggae beat honestly for 12 year and listen to every genre out there. I want to have a simple but creative set up. drum kits all ready mastered then throw in the raw synth from the waldolf and record into the mpc and export to chop up, equalize, and mastering seems like a pretty dope time to me. If there are any better keyboards out in your opinion let me know!

Did they improve the arpeggiator already ? Currently it does not allow you play triplets or dotted notes.
There is no basic setting for dotted notes in the arpeggiator. However, you can use the Swing parameter to create dotted notes.
Does the sound stop when still holding down keys and switching programs? Id really love to use this in a live performance setting.

@Cheeses_K_Riced What kind of question is that? If you make music with presets and do not alter anything, that not imagination. If I see a painting and copy it, that's not imagination. You could have answered your own question before you asked it by recalling Milli Vanilli...next..moving right along
@@michaels8607 a preset isn't a painting, though. A preset would be a particular brush with all its characteristics - used in creation of a painting (song, melody, etc).
@@EulogyfortheAngels What are you talking about and why are you defending presets,unless you consider what I said personal to you??I wrote that 2 months and here you come crying about it? Let's say you do paint by numbers, it's still a painting and still art,it's just not the same as an imaginative, improvised work. Presets on synths exist because before then,you had to do all of the synthesis on the spot and try to duplicated something you created .

@@jumpingman8160 Some of the best cost some good amounts of money..My Ensoniq ASR10 was $2500 and it's still kicking azz 20+ years later..
The biggest problem I have with this synth is the Iridium KB for $1900 less new. Even if the filters were more interesting. Even if it was a tool in how I made a GOOD living. The smaller sibling is just too close IMHO and they are both fantastic as a core/general purpose/cover all the bases synth.
$1900 is not small, ANY way you look at it.

@Cheeses_K_Riced onboard sampling is for those who enjoy substantial needless time and difficulty - for everyone else Samplerobot or Akai then just import to either. As for analog filters I get this is a Mk2 release and they are not going to radically change the voice architecture which means using the same fairly character free filters. There is a reason M uses a 2144 (why not 2140?) instead of that in house filter.
