This is a combo I’m interested in. Does the poly aftertouch work via the Hydrasynth? Have you tried hooking them up with CV for cross-modulation? Have you tried layering sounds from both?

Not my cup of tea...

I plan on buying this keyboard and the new akai stand alone mpc. Ive been making trap beats reggae beat honestly for 12 year and listen to every genre out there. I want to have a simple but creative set up. drum kits all ready mastered then throw in the raw synth from the waldolf and record into the mpc and export to chop up, equalize, and mastering seems like a pretty dope time to me. If there are any better keyboards out in your opinion let me know!

I bought an Iridium keyboard for just over half the price. I absolutely love it! The Quantum seems very expensive by comparison.

for all who want this ist always a very good pick comparde to others and depending on your taste in sound Check Hans zimmer he has a lot of Waldorf synths he uses even on stage. The biggest problem I have with this synth is the Iridium KB for $1900 less new. Even if the filters were more interesting. Even if it was a tool in how I made a GOOD living. The smaller sibling is just too close IMHO and they are both fantastic as a core/general purpose/cover all the bases synth.

This would be ideal for me as my 1st Hardware Synth. it isn’t too expensive, small enough and has a decent set of features for Sound Design. Don’t forget about the accompanying App from Modal that lets you see everything going on! Great Sounding Patches too!

I own the iridium desktop, I have it for sale so I can get the keyboard version. I am going to make a sound demo video and spend Way less time playing the keyboard on each preset. Most of these videos show way too many Riffs and not enough of the presets. I’m quite certain nobody watches these and says, “I am considering buying this synth but WOW! I want to buy this guys technique and musicality”

They need to start off with a lower price this costs more than the quantum and is a cheaper build
