- Today I take my KTM 890 Adventure R on Single track intended for dirt bikes, the bike performs great!
A fall here and there, but overall a really good showing for both me and the bike.
Excellent riding!
It's nice to come across someone else crazy enough to take these big bikes into tight BC trails! What skid plate did you get?
My two favorite upgrades are the tires and a 15T front sprocket, totally changed the bike for trail riding
Awesome riding! Love to see you wrangle an 890 like this - hope to be doing trails like this in my future.
Thank you! Such a fun bike
So good I am on my second time watching it!
Thank you!
I took my 890 up on some really rough washed out 4x4 trails. Was fun but also quite the heartpounding workout.
I'm a very inexperienced rider but found it manageable. Keep in mind I'm 6'5" or 193cm tall and weigh a lot so experience may vary for smaller guys.
Stock tires are fairly lackluster in any mud or wet gravel.
Yeah, the tires are not the best, but so far they have performed well enough in my use case.
Definitely much better that what came stock on my previous bike
Great video. Does anyone else watch this stuff like ASMR. I watch it before I go to bed (guaranteed good dreams) haha
Great video! you really need to share those riding locations. would love to try that with my Tuareg :)
Thank you!
This video was all at Vedder Mountain in British Columbia.
@@bikesbc awesome, thanks a lot!
You are Crazy man!!
Hey I'm from Vancouver as well, I have the 2022 model to yours. Haven't done that trail yet but looks great!
Awesome! These bikes are so capable!
Beautiful bike, I hope I can find a deal on one now the riding season is winding down. The single cylinder vibes on my 390 are getting old haha
The 390 is great bike, Although I do love my 890. It is a big bike though specially compared to the 390.
Man you ride that thing like a 690 well done
Haha, thank you!
Nice video man! Have you have any issues with your bike? I have a tenere700 and are looking at trading up. Just curious to know your thoughts on it?
Nop, no issued at all so far
Running a molecule skid plate on mine. Recommended, and available to boot!
I now have the KTM power parts one, however I already deny it pretty good on my last video, so I might take a look at the molecule one.
Do you think you can use a trailstand with this plastic skid plate?
@@Verknechter no issue at all. they’re tougher than metal in my experience.
Nice video! The "and crash" titles are hilarious 😂
I assume the number in the tach is a gear indicator, but what's the 3 in the middle?
I think it's the slip level you can choose on rally mod. It goes from 1 to 9. Higher number means more traction control.
@@TimEcuyer thanks.
Tim is correct. The number 3 is the amount of slip. I find 3 allows the rear to spin more than enough but while making the power manageable off road.
Nice! Where is this?
Vedder Mountain in Canada BC
Do you use a chest mount for the camera or is it mounted to the front of your helmet?
The camera is mounted to my chinbar on my helmet
nice no muisc nothing just the bike and you and nature
Thank you!
'promosm'
You are just ruining the bike.
I bought the bike to ride it hard! If it breaks I’ll fix it 😁.
Lol. What a comment.
This is exactly what the 890 r is designed to do, anyone who buys an “r” just for the road has bought the wrong bike. All the panels are designed to take a bashing and easy and cheap to replace, great example of having fun
you are outside this is a route not to be done on a motorbike, perhaps on foot, ok on a mtb
Imagine, buying an adventure bike to go on adventures!
