Your limoges box collection is simply exquisite, elegant, yet adorable at he same time. Your collection must cost a small fortune. Thank you for sharing.
I don’t know how I missed this one! Yes, I started a collection, after hearing you talk about yours. For Christmas, I gave Victor a special one, called The Day After Christmas. It reminded me of him. Santa was snuggled up in bed, fast asleep ! Thanks for sharing your collection with us!❤️🌟
I can imagine my children, when they were young, wanting to hold these boxes and open each one! When my oldest daughter was 4, we were in a PX on a military base and (of course!) I strolled by the Waterford china display. My 4-year-old was enthralled, reached out instantly and lovingly held a stemmed cordial in her tiny hand. "It's just my size!" Yes, I had to admit it was. And I slowly and carefully retrieved the cordial and returned it to the display. Good taste starts young, apparently!
That is a special moment when your daughter held her first Waterford. Wow! A friend recently inherited a huge collection of the Fostoria American pattern. She asked what she could do with the small juice glasses. I encouraged her to use them for her grandkids at the dinner table. It's just their size and she was happy to find a purpose for these.
Every time I come across a unique Limoges or other fun trinket box online I pretty much buy it asap. I have a neighbor who saw my little shelf and tried to buy some off me. Of course I declined! Some that I have bought I have never seen listed online again. Some of my favorites I have is a sea turtle that reminds me of my vacation to Hawaii, and a trick-or-treat bag because my favorite day of the year is Halloween. If you love Limoges you might also enjoy PHB (Porcelain Hinged Boxes)! My favorite boxes from that collection include a WW2 Air Force Plane that comes with a pilot and another one I love is Princess Belle that comes with a tiny handled mirror.
I plan on taking this collection with me to the old folks’ home someday. It doesn’t require much space and each piece reminds me of special people in my life. ☺️
Thank you again for this beautiful video. Limoge boxes have always fascinated me and is interesting to hear about their history. You have a beautiful collection.
I have two Limoges boxes that I purchased in Limoges, France. One is the pineapple that you have and the other is a little bird sitting on a nest. I love them.
Thanks for watching! Working on a holiday edition of "Triple Thrift" and found four Limoges boxes yesterday. Rummel Creek Antiques had these for $45-$48 each. It was an early Christmas present for me!
@@MarciEllsworth There were two handbags, a cherub, and an oblong box. Left aisle, almost to the back on the left in glass cases with jewelry. My Limoges boot has a horse clasp and no bonus inside. Had to go look!
S T U N N I N G!! Absolutely stunning! I was blown away Mary Beth with your collection of Limoges Boxed! I have never seen such beautiful works of art before and learning about their history was fun & interesting too! The attention to detail for each box was so fun! I really did appreciate their talent and effort to create such beauty! You have done many things in your life and sharing some of it with all of us is so special and extremely interesting and really quite inspiring! I'm looking forward to the next video about Glass Cloches. Thank you!
Back in town after the trip to Tennessee. Glad to get your kind message. The funny thing about collections is that I don't always realize I have one. Limoges boxes are featured here together. But, many other items are in separate areas. It always surprises me when I start pulling things out of a cabinet to create a tablescape. Boom... collection!
@@LadyMaryBeth and we your viewers appreciate all your work in filming these videos. I’ve been binging them and they’re so enjoyable/informative. Thanks so so much!!
@@andrewsartduchy7721 You make my heart sing! Thanks for taking an interest in my channel. Lots more to come. I just love the history of tabletop and decor.
Very nice presentation. My love of Limoges boxes began while browsing through Bergdorf Goodman in NYC one year back in the early 1980’s they had a beautiful small box in the shape of a pear but what impressed me most were the rich colors of oranges and yellows. Years later I made it a point of owning that box. Today in December of 2023 I only have six boxes however, I would have had seven but unfortunately I was several minutes late for the end of an auction on eBay of a limited and fabulous Limoges box in the shape of schloß Neuschwanstein No. 28/500 so if the winner of that auction is reading this, please consider selling it to me lol. Thank you for a very nice video.
I love your exquisite videos. I do also love to collect Limoges and very high quality replica fabrage eggs, I also collect Swarovski figurines. Absolutely love your collection ♥️
Loved this video! I have a friend that has a marvelous collection. But every time I see a hinged box it’s never a Limoges. 😮😢… i’ll just have to keep looking. 👀😊
I enjoyed and really learned about these small boxes. Can you please tell us about Victorian Vingnetts say a movie and they gave it as a gift in the olden days. Thank you for all your intellectual information!!!

My favorite dogs are collies. It amazes me how many interests you and I share 😊
I grew up with collies and love them. Our 12 year old collie, Robbie, passed a couple of weeks ago. We are heartbroken. He was one of the best.

@@LadyMaryBeth Okay, thanks.
I have a fox one similar to 0:54 dog, but I have no idea what to do with it...
You could place on a side table as an accent piece. I can imagine it placed on a stack of books with a magnifying glass.
👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you! 😀
😍👍👍👍👍🌹
Are you concerned about these items maintaining their value or do you collect them for the memories?
I collect them because they bring joy. Counting on these going with me if I am in the old folks home someday. Memories indeed! ☺️
Beautiful collection ❤
