All these cars on the same platform is awesome, will give them longevity and you can easily convert it to quite a different car, another big thumbs up to Arrma from me
Incremental development in the Arrma line is one of the strengths of the product. A real plus is the parts interchangeability. Anyone who is complaining about Arrma not putting out a clean sheet design every year is likely not a builder, which is fine. But I kind of want a R/C model that has a big interchangeability of parts and easily available parts. It also makes it easier for the aftermarket guys to support the Arrma line.
I've never seen people complain about not everything being new. People just expect a little bit more than ONLY a body when ARRMA hypes it up as a new car (Notorious). You'd never pretend jconcept made a new truck for arrma just because they released a body for the Kraton.
I’m on board with what Arrma is doing you gotta spread this RC stuff around for everyone so that all can enjoy. That’s how Traxxas has been around for so long.
Great unboxing Vas 😰!!! So glad they sent you one 👌. Don't normally care much for unboxings, but you make so many great points and truly keep it interesting 👊. HUGE props to ARRMA for another wonderful 3s BLX edition 😍!!! I'm guessing this little Ripper will turn a track faster than it's big brother. 🤘🤘😨😨😨😎💪👊👊
Excellent exactly! Perfectly diplomatic and correct. We can have whatever we want in this hobby. No need to be disappointed or disapprove when we assume too much......anything can eventually turn out different than we want. Others may be ecstatic for the same reasons we aren't. This is a fantastic video and an asset to our research and info when we're trying to decide which new vehicle to buy. An asset to the RC community. Cheers and thank you, ARCP.
I’m extremely excited with the new 1/10th Arrma line, they are as durable as the 1/8th, they as almost as fast, they are extremely easy to work on and they are almost half the price!! For the price of a 1/8. i can have 2 of these! And man they look fantastic! Kudos to the people at Arrma!!
Wow Vas that was fast, I dont even this they have hit the hobby shops yet here. I dont own a 4x4 buggy n this ones got my interest, great unboxing n review
Wow...they really came through for you on this one! Mega early! I finally got my 3s Senton yesterday, I really like the chassis/set up on this new range. So much RC for the money.
Great video, and more so, a great point about some interchangeablility of many parts. People must forget that decent RC companies go out of business all the time. A lot of people can't keep buying car after car ect. Having the ability to interchange parts can allow those that can't afford 3 different cars to change up there experience with just a little tinkering . I commend ARRMA RC for this forethought. Keep up the great work ARRMA and Aussie RC Playground!
Great video as usual! I’d love to see a diff oil tune explained video. All the videos I have found on UA-cam aren’t complete. Like rear, center, front diffs with low vs. high weight oil benefits. I have experimented different weights in my Outcast and I always get front tire ballooning or steering wag when performing wheelies using Duratrax MT tires.
I just noticed your Typhon is missing the wire retainer fro the esc wires too. Look at the stock photos and exploded view and you can see the wire retainer is there. I sent off an email to Arrma that it was missing on mine.
I wish I could justify buying one. I just bought the Kraton and to be honest if this was available a few days ago I would have given in consideration as a whole family it would probably get more use than as it is probably a better car for my kids. As always a great vid and very sensible comments re platform re-use
Hey Vas... Great video as always with lots of information. I have a Granite 3s blx and i was thinking of what you said about common parts of that blx line of swapping some parts to mount on a typhonn chassi . Could you kindly give some information about the arms and shock towers as they look different? Thanks for all.
Vas, I see we did not have to wait too long from your IG post. Great unboxing! First impressions look like a solid car. Can't wait for your first running.
As you said Vas, not everyone needs a ball tearing 6s rocket, and to me it’s probably worth going for this guy just for the 17mm hexes, much greater range of tyre choices at that size. So yeah, imho this car is a good thing.
R Soul exactly why I sold my talion. As much fun as it was, it was not as fun to drive as my old Atomik 1/8 3s Brian deegan sct, I regret selling that truck! But it was a smart decision cause it got discontinued, and a cheap himoto version came out. Haven’t driven my talion in about a year.
And I love the idea of not having a center diff, its a pain to remove the center diff of the 1/8th Arrmas because of the loctite... and the center driveshaft on these new 1/10th is so easy to adjust!
Hi! Nice review, and nice point. I am a more then happy owner od Typhon 6S V3. Looking this video, I've got an idea, I would like to freshen up my experience whit my Typhon. What do you thin about 20t on stock ECS+motor, would it kill acceleration? Keep up the good work!!!
That giant gap in the rear of the body, lack of mud guards and those tiny honey comb patterns mean its going to get dirty real quick! still looks awesome.
Vas I think I’m convinced to sell my Senton 3s and pick this buggy up. I know they are very similar but I’m actually thinking of selling off the Typhon 6s as well and just having this machine. I’ve got a Losi 8ight E also anyways for big buggy fun. I’m with ya on not liking the DX2E I just don’t like the feel of the throttle and steering. Good review thanks 👍
Wait i was not expecting that idea...did someone said that it could be a granite with those tyres and wheels? ... and about the hexes they are different they are 17mm and the granite are 14mm. Any ideas please?😍😍
Great video Vas!! Awesome unboxing! Arrma has really put some serious engineering in their 3s BLX line up! I just picked up the Big Rock 3s and it's an amazing truck!! I'm used to all the 1/8 trucks and was on the fence getting a 1/10 scale rig but they're tough as nails to be mainly plastic! Just great innovative engineering! Great point on Arrma using the same platform as other cars. I love how you can interchange parts and covert them to other things. Great video man! 😃👊🤘🤘🤘
I love it but I really want a new designed 8th scale monster truck. I'm not a fan of the outcast body and really short wheel base. Wish they came out with a wider based truck.
Awesome unboxing Vas, I didn't even realise they were doing a 3s Typhon, took me by surprise. I've been looking for a 1/10 scale 4wd buggy to bash but there really isn't much out there outside of uber expensive race rigs or cheap crappy cars that don't drive well and fall apart. 8th scale seemed the only real option and then this comes along and bridges the gap. 8th scale size, 10th scale lightness, sturdy design and parts support out the wazoo. Wicked. When do they arrive at Metrohobbies???
Nathan Mack I heard there were coming out with 10 new vehicles this year starting with granite BLX so maybe fingers crossed ,I can’t afford the 6s cars I need something more in this price range.
So I’m a little late to the arrma thing. Have 4 traxxas cars but they seem to break every time I take them out🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. So I ordered this car, first of its way cheaper than any brushless traxxas 4x4, and it seems they take a beating far better. Either way I’ve just recently found your channel and you’re one of the few I can watch without turning off the sound or fast forwarding through it. Really like your style!!! My question is what would you upgrade first on the 3s??
My only changes have been tyres and a 20T pinion, the rest is all stock. I will admit that my shocks need attention now as I've noticed them leaking a bit, but the car has had some use and they're due for a service anyway.
Nice vid as always Vas. I’m confused though. This new car is so closely priced to the 6s arrma buggy esp in the Uk... £320 vs £380 I really don’t get the point of buying it at all.... pity as it looks ace.
Ill be interested to see how all those plastic gears hold up long term. I hope arrma isnt compromising. Their reputation for toughness could easily get tarnished.
True...but I can get used 1/8 nitro buggies for under $100..with the beefy 1/8 metal parts...chuck the nitro engine.lol..$5 for almost ready to go 550 motor mount..ect 4082 ( $40) ( 120-150a esc) $25-$75) $45 4s 5000 50c....18t-22T pinon set $5 $5 for RX......the buggie usually comes with metal gear servo already.. sometimes with wazzo of spare parts.lol That' over 50 mph with beefy parts for $200-$250.lol... It would be a nice buggie to have..if you didnt have 1/8 buggies already They need to make a 1/8 Fy03 clone..now that would be nice to have for around $300-$400.

Exactly what I was going to comment you got it!!!
Very well said. 👍
Thinking that 2👏
Plus thinking vas is right and i dont want new remotes so better order rigs i want now , than v4s will come out haha

I want these wheels / tires on it's big brother. ;-)
Wait till someone puts a granite chassis on it😱😃
justin mcconnal DAMN 😱. You read my mind...Lol!!!😵😵🤘🤘
Rich Duperbash nailed it
Top notch like ALLWAYS Vas, LOVE it..thank you.

A great review Vas! Thank you sir! I really like the price point of all the new BLX versions, Arrma is rocking it!

Nice lil video my friend. My hun just added this one to my collection of rc cars and tucks. I just subbed to ur channel 👏🏻👌🏻from Denver Colorado
Nice review dude. 👊😎
Just bought myself a Granite 3s BLX. Sure is one sweeet Mean machine. 🙂
This looks identical to the brushed version I just bought except for the middle bearing
What does your shirt say I can’t read the very bottom
Love the vids. I would like to see your opinion on an ecx barrage 1/12. I love the fast stuff but I'll never get rid of the barrage.
Vas, I see we did not have to wait too long from your IG post. Great unboxing! First impressions look like a solid car. Can't wait for your first running.
Got a photo of the 6S typhon next to the 3S typhon?
When are you doing the proline pro mt build? I can't wait I'm ready to watch you build and take it to the bmx track.
Thank you for the video. The typhon 3s is a 1/8 or 1/10 scale ?
Great explanation and break down of the truck .. nice one Vas
That's a good Idea shared platform, keeps costs low 👌, Tamiya should do that more with there buggies.

How do you think, which one is more durable out of the box, 3s typhon or 4s kraton? Which one would you like more and buy?
Hi Vas. You absolutly right with your point at the end of the Video. I said the same thing in german on my unboxings
I dont really like the 6s version, but I'm really diggin this 3s typhon !!
Why are you not liking the 6s version?

Do an rc race wars between that and the 6s version
May get this just to have it next to the 6s version
Ready for the run video
Great video but lot of plastic. Don't know if u put a high power lipo in it even if it can hold up ??
That giant gap in the rear of the body, lack of mud guards and those tiny honey comb patterns mean its going to get dirty real quick! still looks awesome.
Arrma is making nice rc’s.
my concern is not having a center difff.....interesting to see if the speed is similar on 3s compared to a regular 1/8 buggy on 4s....
Nice Arrma typhon 4×4 3s blx breakdown vas, can you do a speed run for this 👏🏽 👊🏽
already got it? man you work fast

can you do a speed test on typhon 3s
Denser foam? How about belted tires?
Great Video Vas, cheers mate!
if you can test the zd pirate 2 i think for the price is good.thanks.
Alittle nervous they might get rid of the big brother typhon. Cause this is kinda 1/8 scale ish.
I’d like to see a kraton 4x4 3s BLX version
Love the shirt!
😍
So is this technically a 1/10 buggy? Or a 1/8? Kinda confused. Lol..
How to you bind the receiver to the transmitter?
I just wish they’d take the Granite the other way and make a 6s 1/8 scale. That would be awesome.
Yes!! Totally agree!!
Yes ! It would be awesome ! A real mt
Looks great 4x4 mate nice
