    32x had a lot of potential, Sega was just dumb at advertising and supporting there stuff

      Its better not to release it because what's the point releasing a 32X when the Saturn was about to be ready for launch ? In fact it was released in Japan, the exact same time as the 32X launch in America.

    fun fact you dnt need those metal parts at all they are rf shields rf being thing that would plug into aerial socket most use av so they are not needed console runs fine and safe without them leave them out save damage to console

    Don’t use those Electro Magnetic Shield Plates, they’re pain in the ass. Just use the spacer to make life easier.

    So this system will come with some type of AV cable? What are the options?

    • @Vault1541
      @Vault1541  2 роки тому

      Yes, it included a composite video cable with mono audio and was also compatible with the Genesis 2 model's RF unit. However, those of us with the original Genesis model and a TV without composite ports had to buy a new RF unit accessory to connect the 32X to a TV.

      Well I just now purchased a complete in box sega 32x. Box looks great, insert, manual and even plastic bags. All original parts included in mint condition.
      Always wanted a 32x for my collection. Only issue is I have only 1 game I bought years ago, Kolibri.
      I have a model 1 sega but I will hook this to my model 2 with sega cd attached.

    Will the 32X work without those plates you inserted into the opening of the Genesis model 1?

    • @Vault1541
      @Vault1541  2 роки тому

      It should work fine though maybe there could be some static in the picture? Sega calls them "Electromagnetic Shield Plates" in the manual and says they are needed but from what I read they simply reduce the chance for RF interference and many users don't bother with them.

    • @mrg466
      @mrg466 2 роки тому

      @@Vault1541 Actually it didn't work fine. When I hooked up my 32x to the Genesis model 1, I got only a blank TV! Furthermore, I tried it on two Genesis model 1! Still nothing, yet it works fine on my Genesis model 2! So I know it's not my 32x.

      If you're talking about the static plates that keep the flap on the megadrive open yes it will work without them...hope this helps

      @@suzy650 Ok thanks.

    • @suzy650
      @suzy650 Рік тому

      The only reason those plates were inserted was to stop the static on a CRT TV and even then if you started getting static from your picture you pulled the system away from the TV... modern day lcds they are not required but are massively rare to find and worth more now probably than the console..
