The hood bulge was to accommodate the cam gears on the 4g63 engine. It’s basically aesthetic on cars with the 420A, as with this car, especially since the 420 is sitting opposite of how the 4g sits in the engine bay.

My personal experience with DSM’s I’ve had three in my life and I’m only 18 years old, my birthday is in October and I’ve had my red 1992 1GB talon for 18 years been in my family over 28 years. Had a 2GA 1995 eagle talon tsi awd in high school and owned that car for about 6 years it made around 650 wheel horsepower sold it of course. my other car was a 1991 1G eagle talon es that was a 4g63-T swap’ gave it to my friend who needed, it that car got over 40 miles to the gallon with the tune we had on it. But now any days it’s just my 1992 Eagle talon tsi awd drag car makes around 1130 all wheel horsepower and around 1400 at the crank.
4:56 a true fanatic could tell you 🫡 by look alone unless you swap parts or do a conversion like a 1GA front 1GB rear. 2GA eclipse parts on a 2GB Talon it’s endless possibilities and mismatch opportunities!
6/23/24 Wow, The Eagle Talon really evolved over the years from 1990 to 1997, the car outline is very similar in shape the styling has softened a lot more like an Eclipse, I like you compare the Talon vs the Eclipse, but a comparison to the 1990 Eagle surprised me with many, many similar but differences between the 2 years. I still own my 1990 Black Cherry base Talon I purchased new in 1990 and kept stock from the factory, being pretty much a garage queen mine only has 18,500 miles on the OD. The car is pretty much my Summer daily driver with Fall & Winter storage with the Eagle still being safety & reliability tuned up, oil changes, new disc brakes & pad., which is not bad for a 34+ year old car rust free and runs well.
the era of beautiful cars designed with passion not A.I. this eagle still pops with it s nice curvy 😅 shapes. NO SCREENS INSIDE.......ONLY RADICAL LINES FOR A DRIVING PLEASURE COKPIT. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO MAN.
@@herbiehusker1889no not really it was either imported from Japan or built directly in normal Illinois but not a kit it’s actually a completely different remanufactured, similar OEM manufactured part made by Chrysler, Mitsubishi and Plymouth, depending if it was a 1g if it’s a 2g then only Chrysler and Mitsubishi. Not a body kit completely different bolt placement between an eclipse and talon of first or second generation it was never just a simple body kit :)
I think going forward in the 30s, most cars will be AI designed or with the help of AI....but the cars coming out before that have already been in the works before all of that, so the 20s will be the last of an era.
Wow looks amazing it's like traveling back to the 90' era The new civic type r takes this kind sleek design without lines on the side very rare these days
You are going straight Zoomer not knowing that space was for tapes and that other space is an ashtray. Come on, there is no way you did not know that; I am in my 20s and knew that....or have you just never owned a car from the 90s? Jokes aside, man I want this car....the 90s was the golden age of Japanese cars (yes, I count this as Japanese). If I was rich, I would definitely buy and preserve cars like this, Jay Leno style...probably wouldn't even buy any super cars besides some 90s ones from my childhood.

Yeah was gunna say that’s not the timing cover it’s the computer lol
I’m starting to appreciate the plastic buttons of these late 90s vehicles since everything is a touchscreen now
I've always been a little sad that Eagle went under back in the '90s because I've always loved the talon so much!
One of the best designs

Nice review. BTW, that little compartment that maybe you can fit in some coins or some keys; Yeah, that's what we used to call "an ashtray".

This beauty must be preseved.
I'd buy an eagle talon over eclipse just for that spoiler.
Good candidate to convert into a 4g63 model by swapping the front frame rails and moving the rear subframe mounts to accept the awd rear subframe.

It's a Mitsubishi Eclipse with a body kit.

I miss the flowing organic lines of 90's design. As opposed to today's angular design.
It's coming back, look at the new Mazda sports car concept and the new Honda Prelude.
It feels like Mercedes is bringing the Melted-Cheese aesthetic back with the EQS 580
Wish I had the money to buy this!
I had a 95 TSI AWD and am looking for a 97 or 98 2gb now.
