Nike ZoomX Streakfly | Faster than the Nike Vaporfly or Alphafly?? - Спорт
6 years ago this would have been a marathon shoe from the gods 😅
So TRUE!!! LOL
but now,,,, high speed training shoe?
I am gonna try it for the half for sure. Why not? Still plenty of stack height.
The next generation of 5/10k racers are finally here!!!!
Streakfly $160, NB SC Pacer $150, Takumi Sen 8 $180
Would love to try them all back2back...
there will be another one too...
I'll go Takumi Sen totally
Just got these. Absolutely love them!
First must have shoe for 2022 cant wait to try this shoe out
I keep hearing "sHreak fly" lol
Μe too
Can’t unhear it now
Hahaha I'm hearing it 🤣
That's what he said.
He totally says shreak
Finally! I’ve been using 4% for 5k and even some 1 miles. This going to be perfect.
Great review, masterful presentation and I look forward to getting it from RWH!
Ordered these the day they released on running warehouse, can't wait to get these on my feet. Finally another beautiful Nike workout shoe to replace my beloved Peg Turbos.
Great review.
Definitely gonna need this
I've been waiting years for this
I love that a shoe with this stack height is classed as a 5K to 10K shoe, but only 4 years ago when I ran my first marathon it was in a shoe with the same stack.
The times sure have changed! I will say side by side a vaporfly/alphafly, it's not even close. The Steakfly is much lower. -Connor
@@runningwarehouse yeah, can’t wait for the full reviews on this one and how it compares to the speed 2 (or upcoming 3) as that’s my go to for mid distance and tempo runs. Great videos as always! 👊
These look SO clean
Nike wants to push it as a 5k/10k shoe, given that they have 2 marathon models. The small stack height and cushion make it very versatile. Your going to be able to run anything from 800m to marathons in this shoe.
Getting a pair now and hopefully one from the outlet in random color later.
Kipchoge wore Zoom Streaks until the Vapormax prototypes started to be tested and even those had Streak DNA.
I’m excited how they’re different to the takumi sen 8 since they have rods and a bit higher stack heights.
Beautiful sneaker! I'm sure it is perfection for its intended purpose
They look awesome Connor, when can I order a pair in my size, US 11 (10.5 at a pinch) from the Australian Running Warehouse website? I'm turning 63 on 7 March and want a pair by then.
My next half marathon shoe 🎉
The twisted shoelace in the close-up shots is making me twitch. 🤣
Anyone else notice Connor says "a little bit"--A LOT? There must be a marketing advantage to that phrase. Every video has a ton of little bits. I counted 17 in this one.
Seriously though, thanks for another sneak(er) peak. We appreciate it--a little bit.
I wonder if Nike Zoom Streakfly is training shoe for drangngly rather than for VF next%
Can't wait it!!
Gee, it's almost as if someone at Nike was paying attention to PRECISELY what my comments and objections have been with their other race shoes for the last several years.
Good on them.
I remember when the Streak Lt was $75 😂
The price is amazing! $90 cheaper than the Vaporfly and over $100 cheaper than the Alphafly. Wow!
What do you guys think should i get?
Wait for these to come out or buy the Endorphin Speed 2 now for the same price?
Am a bit worried about the durability of the exposed foam. Any ideas how many km this shoe’s gonna last?
I NEED THIS
Is it just me or do these shoes all basically resemble the Brooks Hyperion/Saucony Fastwitch of 2018/19 with a little bit improved foam?
_i want a daily trainer shoes just like that one same exact design but made for daily training._
Would the streakfly be a good option for an all out 2 mile run ?? (3200m)??
Dope shoe wow
Interesting… I thought a stiffer plate would be more for short distance run. If you compare a sprint spike with a long distance spike for a track run, a sprint spike is a lot stiffer in the carbon plate than a long distance spike. So adidas and Nike are putting a less stiff plate for their 5K or 10K shoes.
How is it for flat footed? Would you recommend it?
Excited to give this one a try. When in Feb. will they be on sale. I have an early February 5k it would be perfect for.
Keep an eye on our Instagram page. We should have updates shortly on when our first batch of Streakfly is arriving. We're expecting arrival closer to mid February. -Connor
@@runningwarehouse bummer, but will do!
Where did you get that sweatshirt?
How does the sizing compare to the next%???
Wow!
Anyone know when it's for sale in the UK????
Anybody know the exact date they drop in the u.s. ?
Hold up, they can make ZoomX Streakfly but not Pegasus Turbo 3? :/
who made the background music?
I‘m gonna try these for the half, since the high stack ones are too unstable for me.
Did you run a half in it? How did it go?
is that suit with wide foot type?
Can i use this as a training shoes??
Looks good! Can’t wait for the ZoomX Streakfly vs Takumi Sen 8 shoe battle!
Btw, any news of the rumored Turbo 3?
I think turbo 3 was unofficially officially canned? But I pray it gets revived. Turbo 2 was one of my favorite shoes ever
they aren’t gonna make another turbo because it was simply too good. it could be used for daily training, workouts, and races, and made it so you only had to buy one shoe. Nike wants you buying 2-3 pairs because it makes more money
Ken and Dan, y’all are both wrong. Turbo 3 Nature is due for a fall ‘22 release with. $180 price tag
@@bunnieg6294 yeah but it’s not going to be nearly as good as the turbo 2
What is the stack height?
I'm from Bénin country, how Can i get his chose , ans how much ?
How is the durability on this shoe for daily running?
How much for your BRS jacket? I’ll buy it from you
with a lower stack height, the spring, uh, carbon plate...doesn't activate enough to be beneficial. This looks like a great short race shoe.
The foam is spring too. Any elastic material is a spring.
I went away from Nike due to the their prices and also their shoe not lasting that long. But I like these and Willing to give it a try
This might be the Pegasus Turbo “3” that people have long been wanting the Pegasus Turbo to return but is in a different name, Streakfly. A thin layer of Zoom X and a plate in it is all it takes.
Peg turbo is returning later this year as the peg turbo nature
its not but nice try, queen.
This has almost nothing in common with the Turbo (which is coming in another form later this year). One layer of Zoom X without any React foam. Completely different geometry and also very different upper. Btw...no plate
Kit it’s not too late, you still have time to delete your comment
I heard about the Pegasus turbo nature with recycled zoomX. Alphafly nature came out with recycled zoomX for a retail price of $300 and you can watch reviews of the disappointed reviews of the recycled zoomX. That’s why I’m overlooking Pegasus turbo nature and would say this Streakfly is more like the original Pegasus turbo without the trash recycled zoomX.
Ultimate Parkrun shoe.
Do you know the exact release date in February? I have an early february 10K race and was in the market for a new shoe.....this would be my ideal choice
Keep an eye on our Instagram page. We should have updates shortly on when our first batch of Streakfly is arriving. We're expecting arrival closer to mid February. -Connor
These look amazing!!! I do have one question is the density of the zoom X any different then what’s in the next %, alphafly. I love the midfoot shank! Much like adidas it flex’s more, a lot more stable as well. I was hoping for something like closer to 15mm-25mm. Are they 2 foams in the midsole? Because it looks like the top layer at the forefoot is different? It looks like react or that foam they throw in the streaks. Just definitely not zoom X.
Definitely full length ZoomX foam throughout. There is no react in this shoe. As for density, we don't have a clear answer if their is any minor tweaks between models as nike has never made that information public in any of their zoomX shoes but from a touch test it surely feels like classic ZoomX. From a stack height perspective, I think it has a pretty ideal setup in its current state. It definitely feels much sleeker than a vaporfly and gives you the close to the ground feel while still having that bouncy pop. The issue with going to low with super foams is it tends to bottom out and you don't get the "superfoam pop". My guess is they tried lower stack heights to try save weight but the performance and efficiency scores just weren't there. -Connor
@@runningwarehouse Oh about that bottoming out, has anybody with 200+ lbs tried it?
@@BleakVision 200lbs people run? Lol
@@bunnieg6294 plenty of other bigger people run lol. Not all runners are those sickly skinny people.
@@erensfeet5563 big people dont run, they jog. and wouldnt benefit from a shoe that comes alive at and below 5:30 pace
Looks fantastic and super responsive. Let's hope they start to reduce the cost.
Quit being cheap its only 160
Dream on
At least a little bit..
50.00 maybe
Very competitive price 💪 < Takumi sen 8
Didn’t this lad organise the fella’s part in Project X?
26mm of stack is good for an ultra marathon (100 or 200k)! I would love to try this shoes!
Ultra?! Not so sure about that. It says 5-10k. Wouldn’t you want more cushioning like alpha or vaporfly if anything for that longer distance ?
@@jp05598 you got it wrong. using a alpha fly or vapor fly for a 100k is incredibly unstable due to the ultra high stack height, and especially on the uneven terrain that most ultras are ran on. A lower stack shoe will actually be better. the carbon plate is the only thing that makes this a 10k kinda shoe
@@dancoyne4574 well the terrain is definitely a factor but plenty of folks have used the alphafly for marathons and ultras (taggart van etten at tunnel hill this past year). The vaporfly and alphafly are designed for marathons and most elites wear them. Terrain is certainly a factor and you should wear trail shoes for anything more gnarly than a flat buffed out trail but if I was going to do an ultra on a flat paved course or track I would want more stack height than this shoe that Nike is saying is for shorter distances, it says so on the actual shoe. That said, if you think you can use this for an ultra, more power to you Nicolas! Stay blessed.
Pegasus turbo successor?
I like the weight of the Streakfly. How stable and cushioned is this shoe? I overpronate.
i used to overpronate but i slowly transitioned into altra escalate racers and my arch strengthened, now i run in whatever I want to.
Do yall think these will be good for 5k and 10ks on the track? My spikes have been causing me a lot of lower leg pain and not sure if I need a different pair of spikes or if I should go for a flat?
Definitely could be a great option for track races. They'll be a little less aggressive than a traditional spike but is extremely light and nimble while having the efficiency benefits associated with zoomx cushioning. -Connor
What kind of XCs are you doing in the US that this shoe is suited to them!? No mudbath no fun/challenge.
The Majority of XC courses in California tend to be hard non technical dirt, light grass, and cement/asphalt mixed in between. No spikes are allowed in HS California races so definitely a different enviroment then some other parts of the country. -Connor
Always makes me ponder that they seemingly make these shoes with elites in mind doing what say sub 4:30 pace for 5K for men and well under 5 min/miling for women and yet clearly want all of us to benefit going way slower. Is cornering really an issue in the NEXT% if say you are running 6 or 7 minute miles.? Can't say the Takumi Sen 8 has made any real difference to me there. Of course though keen to look the part even if nothing else is!
It's strange that with less ZoomX or Lightstrike Pro -TS8- and a few grams less (only a few) and without the second part of the combo (plate or carbon rods) these shoes can beat Vaporfly or Adios Pro on short races. I don't see that.
Tim that is a great point. I have been using the vaporfly to train/race for hopefully a low 18ish 5k soon and have had no issues cornering. I think the alphafly would give me some trouble though. At elite paces I could see it being a problem as well.
@@marcuslockhart4610 same sort of 5K time as me these days and indeed shoe choice. Of course keen to try these but my finding with the Takumi Sen 8 is that they did not offer me anything more performance wise but did offer a different type of shoe which some may prefer. Remains to be seen if Nike have come up with something that will actually benefit us. I suspect going to be marginal at best but they do look nice!
@@isidrotormogarcia4879 yeah which is largely my point about non elites and indeed my finding with the Takumi Sen 8. Of course going to want to get one to see though!
@@isidrotormogarcia4879 it may not outperform, but it’ll almost certainly perform equally at $90 less. That’s a big deal
Show!
Your article states that running warehouse will be selling these. Which running warehouse is going to stock them ? I've been in contact with the European one ,They say that they won't be selling them.
Unfortunately, at this time we've only been given access to the Streakfly at our US store. -Connor
@@runningwarehouse That's a shame ,But thanks for your reply.

Endorphin speed killer?
ペガサスターボ2とズームストリークを合体させた感じだね!
めっちゃ欲しい。
Everything about this shoe looks great. However, I wonder how many miles it will last?
It will probably not be great, but it's intended for 5k/10k so it will probably last longer in terms of time but not miles
I say it will last as long as any other basic trainer, Pegasus 37 lasted me about 300+ miles, zoomx holds up really well so you can maybe expect 400+ miles in this shoe
Could you use this shoe for speed workouts like the 400m? If not could you recommend a good speed workout shoe?
This shoe would likely work very well for the longer rep days. And with these super shoes, your legs tend to feel less beat up from the workouts. So it should be a good training shoe overall. But on reps where you want to rip it a bit more, are "up on the toes" and are digging through the corners, I'd recommend the Streak LT as it's designed to feel similar to a spike in a slightly softer and less aggressive setup.
@@razr7 alright thank you 👍
You could wear these fuckers to a wedding if you wanted. Do what you want and don’t believe the hype mate.
@@razr7 hay whats the dif between streak LT and streakfly? like stack height/mm drop/and is the LT more minimalist and light compared to streakfly?
Where can I get this BRS sweater?
Unfortunately these were custom jackets made at the re-launch of the Original Blue Ribbon Sports store in Santa Monica. -Connor
Took 6 videos to find one that gets str8 to the point
Do you guy think one can take the Streakfly up to the half marathon? Even for the 5/10k I guess it would be competing with something like the Rocket X at this price point and that one is pretty hm-able🧐
I think it could easily go HM. I think I’d consider it for the marathon honestly. 32mm stack in the heel was considered moderate to high cushion just as little as 6-7 years ago. But it certainly comes down to preference. One of my favorite HM shoes was the Nike speed rival 6 and that had 26mm in the heel and just 16mm in the forefoot.
@@DerekScheidt good points 👍🏼 I’m actually starting to prefer a bit of a lower stack and drop, so it would certainly fit the bill. Maybe I’ll try it out! Thanks for your thoughts 🙂
We used to run marathons in shoes with less stack. 3 of my 5 marathons I run in Adidas adios boost 3's
It would certainly work very well for the half and would have even been amazing for the marathon only a few years ago. However, I'd have to believe the Vaporfly still has a speed advantage for most people in those races. And I'd expect your legs would feel better the days after when racing in the Vaporflys.
Any idea what the ‘shank’ is made from? And where exactly it is placed?
Might be a stupid question, but what is a shank? Have we seen it in any other shoes?
@@kensprague5686 thinking the same thing! Might be Nike trying to find a different name for the rods in the Takumi Sen8.
@@JackD87 sounds like some shoe reviewer needs to get one just to rip it apart
@@kensprague5686 Just a piece of plastic. The NB Rebel V1 had a plastic shank.
@@jimoconnor8597 ah gotcha. I think I know what you're talking about now

32 mm ... how a stack height !!
Nike and others come back to the time when they said "it's technology that you need !" N
No THEY think that we need that 😨
the toebox height is too low IMO, coming from React Miler
and yet no one complains about the price
32mm is considered "low to the ground"? Jesus the market is going nuts
Cross country? 😂 I’m guessing UK XC and US XC are very very different! Great looking shoe though 🔥
California equates to warm, dry and firm to me unlike say Parliament Hill in a British winter :)
Way different. Not even close. Specifically in the US Southwest, the courses aren’t grass. They are road, dirt, and maybe some grass. Spikes are not allowed on these courses
@@benanastasoff8980 what?
Gulf club courses gut?
In Germany, Scandinavia and UK there are these very bad and muddy courses where 15mm spikes are required.
@@robinbauer1975 yeah, I’ve seen videos of those races. It doesn’t get muddy like that in the southwest United States. Very dry courses usually. We run golf courses from time to time, but even these courses usually don’t allow spikes. I’ve even had a race that was almost all pavement
Connor only suggested California XC courses, there are similar courses here in Australia, but most are tougher than that. It would be "interesting" to watch someone try to run a WXC race in a pair of these. Our local xc races are mostly spike-free affairs, not because of the lack of mud, but the various surfaces encountered. Try running along a bush track in spikes, there are rocks, roots and even concrete causeways, all in the one race.
I just brought next% 😂😂😂
Nike has a 60 day return policy and you can return them used
How many should I buy!?
At least 1 size 13. I'll pm you my address. Thanks!
@@razr7 🤣
Durable like Pegasus tho?
No this will not be durable like a Pegasus. It's an elite level racing shoe and is built purely for performance. The most important aspect is weight savings which will come at an expense of durability. -Connor
is durability going to be an issue?
We'd expect durability to be fairly in line with other elite level racing shoes in it's category. -Connor
Did he say Freak Fly?
Legit a Nike Streak 8 with that shank and not a plate.
Totally different. ZoomX rather than cushlon
@@benanastasoff8980 yea of course. Streak 7 had Phylon not Cushlon.

Don't say high school you already know they're going sold out
That carbonfiber shank got their shoes disqualified. I'm sure that was the main reason this does not have it
Another fastest shoe? I lined up all my “fastest” shoes and yelled “go”! They were all an epic fail - they never made it off the the start line. Conclusion: they don’t understand the meaning of “go!”, what kind of running shoes did I buy?!🤪😆
