- trying to do a carb clean on the husqvarna yth2454 , tried to do a quick an dirty carb clean that i thought would work it didn't so.. it looks like i will have to pull this carb off completely in part 2 and fully clean it.
Couple things before that carb comes off again. 1: pull plugs to see if they are wet and getting fuel. Smell exhaust. 2: Pull fuel line off after pump/ filter and see if it is delivering respectable fuel when engine cranks (pumps using vacuum impulse from engine.) 3: See if it will run with starting fluid. Thank you. yes I still have it, I got to do work on it still probably the fuel system again but I will try these steps
1st question, and more of a suggestion to other's who own this mower. USE ethanol FREE 89 octane. Always avoid ethanol gas in small engines. Get that crap out the mower first, unless you use it throughout the winter the ethanol breaks down.

Yeah instead of getting right to it and getting it done , they talk through 75% of the troubleshooting
Seems the choke cable isn't pulling the choke far enough, common problem with them, they either stretch or slide, loosen the screw slide cable and start it up

My issue is fuels making it all the way to the carburetor however it fills up the bowl doesn't really want to go anywhere else in the carburetor though I've checked all my air portsview reports everything is clear it's just nothing is cycling through I'm starting to debate if it's a vacuum issue however no vacuum issue is totally apparent to me however he will still not getting to the other side of the carburetor somehow
Did u check the fuel pump also Maybe a issue there.
Nice video typical bs that happens to me too like dropping the jet under and the bolts being really tight.

check the full tank and the full filter....?

check the antidesiling switch under carb plus see if there is 12 volts they have been know to stick an keep the carb from getting gas
I will I still have this mower I haven't sold it yet . I'll check it out this year and check that to be sure.
hm. i know nothing about auto/engine mechanics. can't start my own yth2454. so i guess i'll be watching this and the next closely.

The spark tester only shows if the coil is putting out some high voltage. If the plug’s ceramic insulator has leakage to ground, it will not test for that. The easiest way to test for bad plug is with a known good plug installed in place.

Probably not my best video on the carb cleaning on this Husqvarna tractor carb but it was a learning experience to get better at what I do
It looks like the float is sticking. It smoked out the exhaust she you tried to start it. Now I will watch the rest or the video...
Yes at the time it prob was sticking
Put sea foam in the gas an run dry before storing
That is also good advice also

Back then I think there was gas in the tank then
Will the spark tester light up if the spark plug is bad?
From what i seen or heard it wont lite up
fuel pump has a broken tube on it check the fuel pump

The fuel pump's little vacuum hose has to be the lousiest little piece of rubber. I have had to replace mine every season.
Check the fuel pump
