Great video as always, loved the changing of the line technique, so simple and quick.
Great video Simon 👍, wow that's alot of information . Awesome 🎣😀🎣
I appreciate this video. thanks
Usefull
Always luv yur tutorial videos , thanks. Q- do you usually just stick with a 12 leader/ tippet, in all depth when using a sink line.?
Usually you shorten with the depth you need to get to, but there are lots of variables. Recommend you watch some of the videos we have with Phil Rowley who talks indepth about this
"no fish rising"....fish rises right behind Simon 😁
This video was a great opportunity to talk about Rio’s InTouch Versitip II fly line but they always seem to forget about it :(
I bought the $180 sinking line from Rio and it won't cast for darn!? But atmittadly I'm new, but I am not impressed one bit! Can I contact you with questions? I'm running a 8 wt NFC custom built fly rod. And the line is matched to the rod.... Thanks
And by no means am I coming against Rio! I just want to use it well! Thanks!
The sink rate of the fly line is one thing, but how do you account for the sink rate of the leader and the fly, they don't all sink at the same rate, right?
True but the sinking line will pull them down at almost the same speed. The shorter the leader, the more evenly matched they are in sink rate. Good point, thanks
All good tips. Biggest issue I have fishing nymphs on a sinking time is sensitivity. I can’t feel a take unless the fish hits really hard which seldom happens when they take a nymph
If you keep your line tight to the fly during retrieve, rod tip down and pointed in direction of fly, that will help "feel" the strike. Good luck!
Love the info but the rapid, accented dialogue makes it tough to hear
Understood, but Simon does do a good job! Thanks for feedback
