Still, our team has a few gaps that need filling to make our World Series run a bit easier. We could use an infielder, outfield reinforcements, or even new additions to our pitching staff, depending on the recovery of injured players.
Our team has already been linked to two of the most sought-after players on the trade market: Garrett Crochet and Luis Robert Jr. However, the asking price for these players is undoubtedly high.
This brings us to exploring other options in the market, and one of them is shortstop Bo Bichette from the Toronto Blue Jays. The Blue Jays are at the bottom of a highly competitive division, and trading valuable assets like Bichette or Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is seen as a given.
And here’s the bombshell: Bichette’s recent comments about a trade have added fuel to the fire, as reported by Hazel Mae.
When asked by Hazel Mae how he would feel about being traded by the Blue Jays, Bichette said he wouldn’t be surprised at all if it happened.
This means the player is already expecting to leave Toronto this season, and we have information that the Dodgers have been in talks to negotiate with the player for a few weeks now. Bichette was already seen as a potential replacement at shortstop even before Mookie Betts’ injury.
