We’re in the thick of the trade season, and the rumors are flying fast. Star players and top pitchers are on the radar of teams looking to bolster their rosters for the final stretch of the season. As we always do, we’re going to break down the players the Dodgers are negotiating for to help in the World Series chase. And Los Angeles is close to sealing the deal with two players from the same team... We’re talking about Garrett Crochet and Paul DeJong from the Chicago White Sox!
First, let’s talk about Garrett Crochet. After rejecting contract extension offers from the Chicago White Sox, the chances of him being traded have shot up significantly. Crochet has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year, leading in strikeouts so far. Chicago is starting a rebuild and prefers promising prospects over veterans. Sure, there’s a short-term risk with Crochet, who has already surpassed his career high in innings and will need his workload managed. However, with a contract through 2026, he’d provide the Dodgers with another top-tier pitcher.
Meanwhile, Paul DeJong adds much-needed power to our lineup as a shortstop, a position where Mookie Betts has struggled, and DeJong is even better defensively than Bo Bichette.
According to league executives, the Dodgers are preparing a trade offer involving prospects Dalton Rushing, Kyle Hurt, and Kendall George to acquire Crochet and DeJong.
Dalton Rushing offers the White Sox a top prospect who could be ready to play in 2025, while Kyle Hurt could immediately join the White Sox rotation.
Additionally, George brings a quality prospect with an elite tool: speed.
Now, fans, I want to hear from you: what do you think about this potential trade? Would it be a good move for the Dodgers to bet on Garrett Crochet and Paul DeJong to strengthen the team for the final push? Leave your opinion in the comments! And don’t forget to leave a like, subscribe to the channel, and hit the notification bell so you don’t miss any updates. Let’s cheer on the Dodgers and make our fanbase even stronger! See you next time!

Dalton Rushing yes on a trade. No on Kyle Hurt. Dodgers could use Kyle Hurt in the rotation even right now or even in the bullpen. He would be a valuable starter or bullpen piece as was the case against the Padres in postseason last year. (two innings with no run scored or runners on base). With Buehler struggling, Miller giving up runs and Yamamoto on IL you’d think that he would be called up as was Wrobleski to give him a chance to show his wares. It would be a good chance to either make the rotation or show other teams this young man’s talent.

Trading for this pitcher has a risk involved. He looks like a injury looking for a place to happen. If the Dodgers do trade for him, I sure hope I am wrong about the risk. Trouble is, the needs that the Dodgers have other teams have the same needs. There really isn't much available out there right now.

Yes, on crochette, no on de Jung. I still think de la Cruz is the short stop I would like to have. 250 average and hits with power and 40 stolen bases. Far superior short stop.

Yes it would help the Dodgers to go and win tbe world series with both of those men. And it would help the outfield and a new starting pitcher which is what the Dodgers need
