Sheesh, Taryl. If you cannot find 4.10 x 3.50 - 6" tires you're not looking very hard. Those are classic go kart and mini bike tires.
50 years old plus or minus and sat unserviced and NOT operated for 15 years cranking right up. Anyone notice any difference in machines built years ago when you could get parts for every individual piece to service and rebuild in lieu of replacing an entire component like the entire carb and throttle assembly on the intelli-cut Scrub Cadet. I’m 67 and as a kid of 6-8 years old dad left an old iron horse 2.5 hp 2 stroke at his mom’s house stored under the house to cut grass with. It had like a 16” cut and rarely failed to start and run first pull of the wrap pull rope start. I think he said the mower was around 15-20 years old when I was 6-8 years old and used it to cut about 1.25 acres of most Bermuda grass. Took a lot of pushing and pulling and a long time to cut 1.25 acres with a 16” cut.
Hey Tarly, Chris here and was watching that video, after you got done cutting some grass the old Bolens shot a lil 🔥 out of the exhaust 😂.
you are to clean it and repaint it for show
with those foam Air filters we dipped the foam in oil and wrung it out in a rag, the oil will trap the dirt better.
The mower deck hookup is pretty clever.
Taryl's ability to find any random part within 5 seconds in his shop, such as that quick pin is pretty amazing.
200 dollars for a clutch cable? OUTREAGEOUS !!!!!! 🤨
Like resurrecting Nancy Pelosi's career! teheyheyhey 🍺
For some reason this mower seems to be one of the most interesting Ive seen in a while. Almost as cool as Slippers tractor. You guys got me hooked.
I really enjoy the restoration videos. People don’t realize the hours spent on a project like this.
That’s the coolest little mower I’ve ever seen. Keep up the great work.
That mower looks like a great design. I would be especially impressed how well that front mounted deck gets under bushes and the like.
Its so awesome that this beauty was sitting so long and it still runs and performs so well. If you bought a new box store rider 5 years ago its already on borrowed time.
Sir you are so awesome in your common sense, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy days to make a video for all of us, it means a lot to me I know everyone appreciates you and your entire family, THANK YOU, part number, we LOVE YA ALL
Great job getting that old machine up and running again!! Nice to see it actually mowing again!
It's great seeing classic equipment brought back to life.
Simplicity and reliability.
Taryl's ability to fix by far exceeds his ability to mow.
You do a great job bringing these vintage pieces of equipment back to useful life. I haven't seen a Bolens for some time.
