All of the other boot repair sites I've looked at are nothing like Brian the Bootmaker. All of them just repair, but Brian also designs and hand makes his boots with a high level of craftmanship. It's no wonder he gets so many custom orders. And it's great to see someone from Los Angeles doing this (I grew up and live in San Diego, CA).
Awesome re-soling job, as always. Enjoyed the video very much. However, the uppers as such are looking as if they may fall apart any second. I am just wondering why someone is spending a surely decent amount of money to get this beautiful job done on the soles, knowing that live span of these runners is coming to an end rather sooner than later.
youre exagerating! only the nubuck panels look damaged, and even those look great just like that...these are vintage 992s made in the us with high quality fabric and leather, stitching has held up, dont see any problems with that...
Er just WOW! Art imitating ART right there! Quite beautiful to watch a true artisan at work. Looks like some mad hybrid at the end! New Balance X Clarks collab in the future ? !
This re-sole is so much better than the original it seems to me that even a brand new pair of these running shoes would benefit from a workover by Brian.
Disagree. Although the reworked shoes were obviously done well, there is no way you could be running around town in those brogans. It would also cost a couple $$ for the work for a pair now with a value of < $.
I agree! I’m not a runner. I walk and do 4 - 100 yd sprints 3x a week on rough asphalt and alternate walks on gravel. These boot sole redo’s on running shoes looks top-notch to me!
Great details on this jobs. Customer was clear that he can not jog/run in this non any more? FYI in Mexico and Europe midsole and sole replacements for running shoes are available and are very affordable
Interesting, but I would have rather seen a video about the new stitching machine you bought several months ago or an update on your truck restoration.
My initial thought was... c'mon Brian, it's a trashed old sneaker. What's the point? Well... you breathed new life into them and they can be re-done again and again with the 360 degree welt you put on 'em. Look great! Fine work Brian.
I want to encourage your creative thinking and say that I appreciate you taking in crazy or unorthodox builds… they might trigger some people, but there sure is a display of your personality and work ethic… maybe stepping out of your element, maybe a little crazy- but not many people would even take on this for sooooo many reasons like: it’s not worth it, just get a new pair, or “we don’t work with tennis shoes”, or “it’s not gonna look good so I won’t do it” and so on… Keep doing what you do, make people happy, do the best quality you can and be happy with what you doing: we gonna watch you along the way anyway.
The music tracks in order are: “Come Home With Me” Vendla (2021) “A Nightingale’s Journey” Wonder’s Trove (2021) “Svalbard” Julyan Brynn (2017) “Empty Sky” Wonder’s Trove (2021) “Haunted Heart” album; Dust & Daze, Dawn, Dawn, Dawn (2016) Great choices Brian🙏
Ok.... that's a unique take on a pair of New Balance . While it might not be _my_ style, you've done an amazing job and added quite a bit of your own. Thanks for sharing this video. I'm glad you are back.
Videos like this give me hope that my favorite pair of boots might actually be resoleable, even though Redwing says they don't resole the model I like.
1. These videos are very relaxing to watch. 2. There’s nothing like watching a skilled person working their craft. 3. What do these type “refurbs” cost and what is lead time? 4. I’m wanting to buy new shoes and have these and vibrant soles I’ve seen in another video put on immediately 😀 Briavo Brian! Great work, great video quality.
Making an old pair of sneakers more durable isn't just craftsmanship, it's talent. Nice & 😎.👍✌🤟 Note: Would like to see your version of the Adidas Superstars or puma Suedes.✌
I always thought that with sneakers, you "used them, abused them and lose them". I question "why?". I can't argue the impressive craftsmanship. Unless you have deep pockets, I'm sure Brian would say this is not for everyone.
A new pair would cost $200. A resole of this caliber would cost around $200-300. Nostalgic item, custom resole, longevity + Brian's magic touch. It'd be worth it for me!
A lost artistic trade...now that majority of things is made by robots...Brian keep the legacy going...I would like to see how I can find you so that you could fix two pairs of chukka boots...I really love the them, but the soles split or cracked and the other sole simply disintegrated...please let me know if you can fix both of my favorite chukka boots...thank you
This was outstanding to watch, a genius idea, executed to perfection. I'd love a pair like these.
ABSOLUTELY

would have looked good with gray leather^^
nah the veg tan adds a nice contrast

I wouldn’t wear the final product, but I LOVED the video! Awesome job!

The king of Dad Shoes re-soled. hahaha That was very interesting!
🙄 что то новенькое

Super cool and unique!
is New Balance November a thing now? Rose Iron just reviewed a pair
Interesting, but I would have rather seen a video about the new stitching machine you bought several months ago or an update on your truck restoration.
Hmm...I wonder how much hand welted New Balances cost. 🤔

So so interesting to watch! You are too much. I feel like rocking them. It's now, the new balance!

Hi Brian. Beautiful work as usual. You are the shoe miracle worker XDDD. It's fun to watch. Greetings Paul from Poland from the city of Radomsko.
Cool, never thought that sneaker can be resole like that 😊😊👍👍
Awesome video! New role club runners!
Ok.... that's a unique take on a pair of New Balance .
While it might not be _my_ style, you've done an amazing job and added quite a bit of your own.
Thanks for sharing this video. I'm glad you are back.
I bet the owner can't wait to turn that new crepe green in the lawn
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 a true master👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I thought the color was ugly as hell till the end . Amazing job . I wish I could get a pair of these .
Wow those turned out NICE !

excellent camera, editing.
Brian, your skill is unmatched anywhere on UA-cam. I appreciate the time you took from your work to create such a beautiful shoe for us to see.
Bonjour de France
Encore une agréable surprise sur cette réalisation
Thank you
They came out fresh
Только зачем?
Saludos desde Costa Rica!!! increible trabajo amigo!!! Cheers!
I’m sending over a new pair of NB’s just to get them re-soled. Love it Brian!
Awesome display of skills and execution…but…THOSE ARE FUCKING HIDEOUS!!! 😂
Videos like this give me hope that my favorite pair of boots might actually be resoleable, even though Redwing says they don't resole the model I like.
This is a full rebuild. Go to brian's website and fill out the form and send it in once you got his confirmation.

just wanna say...AMAZING...
what type of that vibram's?
Woah... Nikes, New Balance... I wonder whos gonna send their Pumas, Adidas or Asics in?... good stuff! 💚💛❤👊

I’m thinking the pair belonged to some eccentric dude with money and he wanted to create his own walking shoe.
I think it's just a fun project to do between the endless queue of customer services. Something different.

That has got to be the UGLIEST concoction I have ever seen! 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Great work
Amazing!!!
Like them much better than the original design. They look like a "tennis boot".
Also like the close up videography. Hope you gents have a fine day.
This is the most I've lusted after a pair of sneakers in years. Problem is, if I had these, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to actually wear them!
Great conversion but missing the nailing and midsole sole. Otherwise, great craftsmanship.
Glad to have you back. I'm fascinated with your videos of footwear repair.
Super
Производители кроссовок New Balance наверное впали в ступор.
An amazing display of skill! Thank you for sharing .... so impressive!
Absolutely incredible another picaso artist level resole thank you for this amazing video
Tú pudieras Modificar unas botas vaqueras como zapatos
First was Nike...now this ??.... Excellent man 👌
Top made shoe!! Wonder why N doesn't make these like this...like the vid's !!
I Have A Pair Of 1300's I Need Restored How Much
I was waiting to enjoy the welt stitching, unfortunately was cut from the video, anyway great transformation and great work
Beautiful! Dude, I will def send you my winter Converse at some point, I know you have the skills to leave them better than new!
Sooooo much effort and skill going into creating some seriously ugly ass shoes...wow
I would like them better with a thinner sole, to make them more casual and less trainer. But good job nonetheless
Craftsmanship here is so incredible. Nice video to end a busy week
One of my favorite sneakers. I must visit to order some boots. Thank you for sharing this rebuild.
Хз, из кроссовок сделал ботинки .
Самое ценное ушло... технологии .
I miss your content Brian. Hope you’re doing well mate!
Отличная реанимация! Жаль,не включен в видео весь процесс,а так-отличный результат!)
Skill is skill, but who makes all of this type of equipment any more, let alone repair it. End of an era.
1) 5:18, what is that?? 2) is there a way of unyellowing the sole and the plastic inserts for a 992?
Thats exactly what I need for work nice job great vision
Very cool BUT at what cost???? More than the original sneakers when new I bet!
That was incredible! Thank you for sharing
They look fantastic 👍🏾❤️
Took a pair of ugly shoes and made a masterpiece. 👍🏼
Did you use a gemmey for the welt?
He typically channels the footbed and stitches the welt directly.
This is interesting, pretty sure I wouldn't welt a sneaker but it was fun to watch.
Im a big fan, keep putting out videos! Also, where are you with your truck project? Much love from the East Coast!
Those shoes must have a very sentimental value 'cause I'm sure fixing cost more than the shoes themselves...lol
Damn I need a pair like this and some role clubs. You’re awesome dude!
Dejó de ser una zapatilla New Balance...
Odd choice but amazing all the same
Hey Brian, I want you to fix a pair of shoes for me. How can I send them to you?
That’s not what I was expecting at all. Good work
Wow, you transformed those shoes. You’re a joy to watch.
Truly a boot maker as you made a boot out of this sneaker resole.
ok wow that was fricken cool. does the leather base make it a lot stiffer to walk on though?
Have a pair a Wesco classics I should send in.
That dad was not willing to give up on those babies just yet! You have him many more years of grilling and lawn mowing with them!
That is awesome I dig it a lot great job!!!
Exelente trabajo,felicitaciones
So glad to see you work on sneakers. Most excellent work.
I'd call this the Godfather of sneakers.
The nicest New Balance shoes ever.
Именно тот случай когда лучше оригинала
Интересно как внутренняя стелька пришита
Bagus sekali bro 👍👍
Those are cool, they remind me of the nike Cortez shoes
