Please give this video a thumbs up because it lets me know you guys want me to make more videos! Thank you ALL for tuning in every Sunday. 🙏😊
I enjoy watching those videos
I need an inquiry of the cost of your boots
We always want more videos Brian.
Thank you ALL
Brian, ive been scheming about some designs pertaining to this. We must talk brother
Nike Air Max with Vibram outsole and Goodyear welted?! Never thought I live to see the day. Good work bro.
Doesnt look like a goodyear welt.
@@jaimendivil8986 Correct me if I am wrong, I saw him stitched the leather strip-like welt on 7:22 and then 10:05 I saw a welt on the shoes then he stiched the midsole at 11:16 before he glued a spongy like outsole. What I know about the good year welt construction that it has a two stitch, one on the welt with outsole and one that stitches between an upper, insole and the welt, like this.
www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.crocodile-bag.com%2Fproduct%2Fmens-genuine-alligator-leather-derby-shoes-in-goodyear-welt&psig=AOvVaw1I3et2E9q-rhEjVKogN1u2&ust=1598178072560000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCKihy7XLrusCFQAAAAAdAAAAABAs
I do feel like it is the similar construction on the Thorogood or RW1097. How is this not a good year welt? and if not what it is then?
Not all shoe welts are good year welts. For one theres no cork and the sole is also not stitched on.
@@StuninRub cork isn't necessary for a Goodyear welt
That is legitimately the coolest and weirdest resole I've ever seen. Great job Brian!
He recreated the whole midsole. Wow!
i still find the idea of gluing+sewing new leather where cup sole damaged the og leather so you can apply new welted sole absolutely ingenous. i wonder if i can find a cobbler in my part of the world that would be up to such technique.
That was absolutely incredible.
Nike doesn't stitch the tips of their shoes. This guy knows what he is doing and cares about durability.
Deliberately no doubt, its normally the first thing to go.
nike doesnt stitch the sole of ALL shoes on. some shoes they do. and if they were to switch it up and start sitiching the soles of airmax's theyd get negitive responces because these sneakers have history. and are not shoes but collectables at this point. so dont try to trash nike just because they dont make shoes the way this guy does.
@@shaunloy5366 lol, that's the point that the OP was trying to make. Brian was more focused on durability while Nike is more focused on style and keeping it true to the original. You're getting mad over nothing.
I've had my infrared air max for 8 years now, still looks good.
@@TheReaper5125
if you accept feedback i would rather hear the sound of you and the machines working that the same music for 17 minutes
the sneakers look amazing it fits the aesthetic really nicely, amazing work
I second this idea. Make one or two videos with "good" ambient sound. It will be a challenge to make it flow like these videos since you would be cutting one sound context to the next; but you should still try it. Thanks.
Agreed - cut music at key times/change it up somehow. Otherwise amazing videos and really liking your work.
I cannot agree with this more. The music is so repetitive and distracts from the content.
I like the music..... It's so hypnotic and relaxing to watch
I find the music choices on his videos relaxing and fitting to the content. Also, he is working in an active shop, so background noise would be an issue, as well as the significant expense of suitable audio equipment, and a whole other level in the editing process, and the time that represents.
I love seeing young men take up a trade that isn’t common. You are truly a craftsman and I thoroughly enjoy watching you work.
Others : You cant resole sneakers
Brian: Hold my beer
Hold my horsehair brush.
This was killer! Resoling a sneaker to make it even better than original.
Right?! Way more comfortable and now can be resoled in 30 mins by any Cobler. I wonder how much he charged.
@@jrdn.lauren At least Brian's lowest charge 275.
Carl! You should get your hands on some of his role club boots!
L. J. Definitely isn’t more comfortable but being able to resole anywhere is great
Carl Murawski That’s what I said! Those shoes are way better after Brian ‘fixed’ them than when new, I’m guessing. I don’t know what they looked like when new but they look great after Brian’s mojo. 👟🔥❤️👟🔥❤️
During in late 80's - 90's normally my parents and I don't buy new shoes so we ended up going to shoe houses to repair our worn out shoes especially in the sole part. Watching this video bringing back those memories and I really do appreciate the skills and patience that you imbued for that pair of shoes to be in good condition and to be worn again. I'm planning to do that old practice that my parents imparted to us before instead of buying a new one especially if that shoes are made of leather. Keep uploading more videos and thanks for sharing.
I know you have said that you got your start by customizing sneakers watching you resoling those sneakers you really looked like you were enjoying yourself. Your craftsmanship is second-to-none keep up the great work!
Maybe add a segment named “Challenge Accepted”. That was awesome!
That name's already a popular segment on youtube, but I agree with the general idea. Maybe a different name so that it won't get buried on youtube because of the popular series.
I see a bunch of peeps complaining about the music. To each their own. It integrally made a 17 min video go by for me like it was 4 minutes. It’s Brian’s video and marketing, obviously it has gotten him clients HE wants to serve and built him a brand the way HE sees it. It reminds me of the soundtrack Dead Man from the film by Jim Jarmusch. I personally LOVE the guitar motif, it holds a captivating beautiful tension, sensitivity and mysteriousness and it’s super tasteful, it’s not some fookin dubstep or reggaeton boolsheet, with a twerking booty to get you guys off. It serves the detail, artistry and Brian’s craftsmanship wonderfully. Keep doing you Brian, don’t listen to those fools!
Yeah I actually like the music choices for his videos. Like other folks it makes the video so soothing to watch. However with that said - why not try one video with just the shop sounds the entire time. Background noises and all.
Hear! Hear!
Mind boggling that you could pull this resole off! I’m really impressed to say the least. Good video + good music + great skill = Brian the Bootmaker! Keep the videos rolling!
You look so happy when you're working, like its your meditation. Keep up the great work and videos brother.
MisterCeaseless I think he was just high from the glue fumes lol. But no, seriously, I agree with you. He looks happy in his work. It’s nice to see.
@@nutrock87 hey, a high man is a happy man!
Dude! I have to admit at first I thought where is he going with this? Then as I watched further I saw the design you were working on. Man! You seriously have some mad skills! Awesome repair. Watched a lot of shoe repair vids and for the first time I'm completely amazed on the outcome of these shoe. Can't say enough. Just keep the videos coming.
Exactly my thought too.
I haven't even finished the video and let me tell you brotha.. I already know these shoes are being taken care of. Hats off to your well craftsmanship. Such an honest way of living. God bless you bro!
You have some real old school talent. It's to bad a lot of these skills are lost today . Keep it up and keep that old world craftsmanship alive .
So glad you're back Brian! Your work is just delightful to watch and your attention to detail is truly inspirational to any craftsperson. Big love for this series!
I'm appreciative the art & skill of shoe cobbling is arrive and well. In this industrial age of mass production, skilled individuals like you, Brian are fading away. There head been such a focus on higher education, these jobs fade to just a memory. Like auto restoration or repair, most young people stray away from jobs like this. Brian, you're an old soul in a young man's body. Your desire to work on your old truck further supports my notion of you bring an old soul. I find peace & solace watching your videos. Keep up the good work my friend!
I really dig your music...isnt it nice being able to create something beautiful with your hands? And sharing it with everyone...what a gratifying experience! Never give up what you love and what makes you happy 😊
Not my style of shoes but man that is some amazing work, never thought you were that diverse in your mastery of shoe/boot making, WOW!
A lot of work to resole a pair of shoes. Nice work young man! Keep it up.
My dad was a business man suit & tie but did upholstery work as one of his relaxing hobbies, seemed wayy happier using his hands away from the office.Brings back memories of the old tools and scent of leather, salute to you young man,i hear nothing wrong with your music👆
I’ve been interested in shoe construction since seeing my grandpas shoe last in his workshop. He did very rudimentary repairs out of necessity. I don’t do this work but admire those that do it well. You sir are the cream among those that do your work. This is a killer vid and don’t worry about those that don’t like music background. I was thinking as I watched that your music choices are extremely relaxing and fit the vibe and pace of your work. Keep it coming sir.
I'm sorry I didn't find your channel sooner. A couple of years ago I took my favorite pair of shoes that I'd worn clean through the soles to a local cobbler. He said you can't repair glued sole shoes. Since then I'd been looking for a pair of proper shoes until I saw your iron ranger resole video yesterday. I bought a pair of iron rangers this morning, but I wish I'd been able to have those other shoes done up like this video.
You could never have convinced me I'd sit here and watch someone resole a sneaker. But here I am. Nice work Bud!
Right and now i watch his wrk quite often
Brian The Bootmaker Your skills are outstanding. You went through several complicated procedures measuring material, cutting, gluing and sewing the new sole onto that sneaker you are repairing. I am sure there Very Few Shoe Repair Shops that are able or willing to go to all the time it would take to learn your process of repair on this type of shoe.
I found you about 6 days ago and I must have watched @ least 20 videos by now.
You seem to take great pride in your work and enjoy doing what you are doing.
The Air Max 90's materials really compliments the resoling very well!
Is that the first pair of Nike Air Max shoes with a Goodyear welt?
No, Japan has been doing this your years

Rapture Kicks
Really? Interesting.

Thank you, Eric
I love the care you took breaking through the stitching of the original soles 💖💖
Wow great job Brian, with the beauty of Goodyear welt construction, you can customize anything. You’re officially part of my Sunday morning coffee routine, so relaxing to watch and listen to, thanks.
Straight up, I wouldn't necessarily buy a pair of shoes that looked like that.. But I would wear them with pride knowing the craftsmanship that went into them. Great work young man.
Hi there, I agree with you....but the sneakers-shoes.boots was already ugly...I imagine what could he do with a nice pair.
To be honest it still looks good and is not that far off on how it originally looked when brand new. If i was the owner of that shoe i would have been a very happy customer with how it turned out. Wouldnt wear it where fashion is gonna be important but for everyday normal use id wear that with pride as well.
@@endymion6165 not cause of the sole dude
Your amazing Brian! A true craftsman and your videos are a joy to watch!
Thanks for choosing to film these, Brian! I was very curious how the process would differ from your typical resole.
i agree with the other people. i like watching these to hear and see work. not music. sometimes the hammering and machines can be therapeutic
I was a little worried about how it would all come together in the end but you really pulled it off.
That customer really loved those AM90's. Surprised they didn't choose something similar to the Vibram Christy sole for the cushioning properties. Good work as usual.
I know this was a year ago but holy moly! Incredible work and unbelievably creative. This has changed the way I look at my Airmax sneakers. This is so unique!
I didn’t know you could resole a pair of sneakers let alone some AirMax. Great job bro.
Hmmm. You really can't. The way sneaker soles are stiched to upper requires special equipment. He had to add a welt, footbed, midsole to be able to. That sneaker weighs at least twice as much now. But, honestly will also be way more comfortable once the footbed molds to the owner's foot. And the white crepe midsole he used still has a lot of cushion. It's definitely an upgrade.
@@jrdn.lauren I always thought sneaker soles were cemented to the upper
Magnífico trabajo.
Pura artesanía!
Por curiosidad, ¿cuál es el costo de esa recuperación?
WOW!!!! Amazing, Beautiful and a wonderful fusion of two unique perspectives MASTERFULLY executed!! Thank you SOOO much for sharing your talent!
This is the video that convinced me Brian was the man to resole my Red Wing 9661s. Now all I have to do is sit back and get ready for them to be done. I'm so psyched.
I just finished watching this video. You really did an amazing job. What's the chances you can resole a pair of Vans sneakers?
You just wouldn't unless they're leather.
Great Job!!! Deap in my minde i'm asking me: "... but whyyy?!?!"
The Work you did at this shoes is in no relation to the shoe him self! I'm a shoemaker too... so i know what i'm talking about!
GREAT JOB!!
greats from Germany
Man that was a great video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Nice job.
They dont make em like that anymore! This statement is generally true with most things these days, but this fine young lad is keeping this lost art from dying. Looks like a true craftsman if I ever saw one. Keep up the great work, and everyone else pay attention sometimes the old way is still the best way!
New in the Nike lineup is the 2019 Air Max all terrain Terra ! Stolen from the work of Brian the Bootmaker. Coming soon to a store near you !! 😁👟
I feel like I'm in the 1950s watching this lol dude your work is amazing
Superb handcrafting...!!! Really love the new look. Keep making new videos Brian.
Possibly the coolest resole I’ve seen you do. The materials and colorway of that AirMax 90 really works for this. Great job!
Curious how much something like this costs? Thanks.
I love it!
I can't believe you did it, Brian! Great job as always!
I truly enjoy watching a craftsman at his work. I’m glad I found your channel.
Would love to see some videos without music, so we can hear the sounds of you working with the leather and tools. It would feel more authentic.
from streetwear to trail boots!!! This is definitely better looking than the original. In my opinion any. Won't be surprised to see Nike release similar editions
Haces piezas de arte. Tu dedicación es admirable.
You make shoe repairs and shoe making look like is a piece of art. Nicely and precisely done. The music is relaxing.
Bet if it had supreme on the sole it would be a sell out 😂😂😂🤦🏻♂️
huh, a vibram sole on an airmax 90?
interesting.
Only the best.
I really enjoy these videos. Keep doing what you’re doing. Interesting to see what all is involved. Not to mention the time involved that a short video doesn’t show, but still cool to see.
Siiiiiiiick ! Love it man, I actually have an old pair of AF1s waiting for this, but got no material nor craftmanship... Haha. Really inspiring though, keep em coming ❤️
The only thing wrong I see here is, that somebody clicking the thumbs down tab.
Who TF dislikes this video. Check yourself.
nike?
That is an awesome look for the Shoe man, proves next generation isn’t always the best look. Classic is best in my opinion, and you made Nike look clean for a change.
really enjoy your work Brian, such attention to details! The music in the background is putting me to sleep though....
Preston, that is my size! I follow your instructions how to dye shoes, so I did a pair of tan to blue I was amazed how nice they came out, thanks to you. Love your videos keep your videos coming.
Great job and great vibe. Loved the music. They looked awesome.
Wow, that was amazing what you did to those Nike's! What a cool and different look when they were finished. I'm going to watch a bunch of your videos now and see how you build and repair other types of shoes and boots...
Wunderbare Arbeit! Bewundernswert - so jung und schon so toll! Weiter so! Grüße aus Deutschland!!!
These must be one of the coolest pair of sneakers i've ever seen.
Enjoy your craftsmanship a lot.............subbed.
Nice work. Love the music. Gives it a nice vibe. Keep doin your thing bro. Amazing.
Trabajo muy fino...algo que hoy en día se a perdido...se puede ver que disfrutas mucho de esto...vivo en Michigan si me podrías mandar un saludo en tu siguiente video por favor...y sigue haciendo trabajos finos.
Wow, that was impressive. I didn't know how you were going to pull that off. It looked a little more challenging. I loved this video and now that guy has the greatest Nike's on the planet. Please keep the videos coming!
This is a joy to see someone so skillful who loves his trade and what he is doing , my pleasure to follow your channel

The music is relaxing, watching him resole the sneaker is relaxing and interesting. Really good video! UA-cam recommendations came thru! New sub!
I have watched several of your videos, your truly an artist at what you do. I only notice because I require a 1 inch lift in my shoe. I have had several done locally, but the work can be hit or miss. Certainly a true profession. Great work great presentation. Imo.
Bananas!! Great job Brian! Watch out when the sneaker heads find this video, I’ve got a feeling you’ll see many more sneakers coming in!
Parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho.
