I love this. I work with kids that are non verbal so I'm learning ASL
I really appreciate these videos! They've really helped me go from only knowing how to say "Thank you" and some bad words to having a basic vocabulary of 100 common words, numbers, colors, and family members! I feel like I'm well on my way to having a real conversation after only a month! Thank you!
That’s awesome! Keep up the great work 🙌
I appreciate your videos, they are easy to understand for a beginner like me. Thank you!
Briana Broderick You’re welcome, I’m glad that you are finding the videos helpful
The most difficult sign I've learn since I started watching the video is for brothers and sisters! 🤯
Perfect. Love you. From Rwanda
I love the way you teach by topic. English is my second language and it made easier for people like me who want to learn ASL. Thank you a lot
From Carla - Vietnam
i must say, his smile is so contagious
I have 2 brothers, 1 sister....very big extended family. Love the video thank you!
Nice! I'm glad you enjoyed the video
Can you do a video about random things around the house? Like pencil, paper, etc.
Hi Chris. I want to thank and to congratulate you on how good you are at teaching ASL. For me the most important signs to learn would be the most common words like;
How, when, who, work, why, talk, say, mean, good morning, afternoon, night, hello, thank you, you are welcome, etc, etc.
Thank you, I'll see about making some follow up videos to include some of your suggestions. If you haven't checked them out yet, I did cover a few of those words in a 100 Basic Signs series here ua-cam.com/play/PL2rZQvyPycXJsuEYxEML3e4y8zWqWBnLI.html
Thanks I appreciate it
I loved watching this it was awesome I enjoyed it hopefully I will be able to learn more
You're doing great so far! Keep it up 👍
I would like to learn more signs for toys 🧸 like toy automobiles, blocks, sand, things that kids play in a childcare centre, inside /outside swings, slides trikes, etc. That would be great for me as I work with young kids ho happen often to be non verbal!
You got it! In the meantime, you may like to check out Signing Time with Rachel Coleman, she has a lot of great kid videos aslbasics.com/free-asl-resources/
I've been watching your videos for a couple weeks and I feel like I'm kind of starting to "get the signing. Before you show us a sign i can kind of think of what the sign might be. This us so much fun learning something new that I can use. Thank you so much for your time.
Gladthat your enjoying the process, keep up the great work 👍
I only have one brother, but my extended family is massive! What about you? Do you come from a small family or a big family?
My family's the same way, but I have a sister instead of a brother!
Ty. ,, I've been learning a lot thanks to you thank you very much😁💝
You're very welcome, thanks for learning 👍
Thanks, this helps me soo much to learn asl!
You're welcome, I'm glad that you found the video helpful :)
This video is very useful! :)
That's great, I'm glad you found the video helpful
Oh good! I was looking for the signs for man and woman.
👍
Thank you :)
You're welcome!
I have an idea
You can make video like a test where you say a number or a color and we can try to do it
That's a great idea! I've been doing fingerspelling practice videos similar to that, but I live the idea of doing that with actual signs
to sign those also What about sister in law our brother in law I would like to learn how to sign those also
I'll be sure to show those in a future video
Can you recommend an ASL app for my iPhone or iMac that can translate the spoken word into ASL?
For boy though, I've seen the dominant hand closed together like you're squeezing
something and then coming out from the forehead. Not just tapping up and down
like in this video. So I guess people have different variations but can mean the same
thing. Yes?
For great grandpa or great grandma could you just bounce the hand away a second time to extend it by one generation?
Yep, and some will also fingerspell "great"
@@ChrisGorges Cool, thank you!
@@josiahmcelhinney1673 I was wondering the same thing! Thank you @Chris Gorges
How about wife And husband?? Thank you!!!
I'll try and send you those signs in a DM on Instagram tomorrow
