If Metroid 64 existed, this is probably what it would look like.
Nintendo 64: Classic Edition, with 24 games, and the new Metroid 64 game!

I'd think they would ask Rare to develop it with the Goldeneye/Perfect Dark engine. Maybe in some alternate reality where the SNES CD-drive came out this is exactly what a 3D Metroid would look like on that.
I disagree. It'd look more like Turok, as the team that made that game went on to make Metroid Prime.

DUUUDE THIS IS SO AWESOME!!! You don't know how happy this makes me. The sprites look good, the environment, music, atmosphere all feels very Metroid. Such an awesome mod.

only thing i say is the gun should shoot as fast as you can click like in metroid prime. i can shoot fast with my rapid finger button mashing.

I hope you open source this one day. Had a blast playing through this and would love to create my own Metroid inspired maps! Crazy how this hasn't gotten attention (maybe for the best considering Nintendo's take down frenzy haha)

Imagine if he had placed Super Metroid in first person instead, with the atmospheric first levels in first person. Then the same sound effects and FX for when you find an item or map room. Imagine using Snes's music for it, instead.

Cool mod. My only two problems with it is that, it's too dark in many places. So dark that even if i change the light level or brightness, it will not help. And that, despite having a map, i have no idea where to go and what to do. And then there is this purple goo, that blocks my path, which i can't destroy or remove somehow out of my way.

Had an itch that I think this could scratch, just wondering -- the enemies don't seem super agressive. Is that just cos you know what you're doing it doesnt give them the chance?

Yo! That's awesome but would it be nicer if you have separated addons in case I wanted to mix those through other mods. Just like the separated collection of addon mods from Kriegsland, It makes it perfect effort without me complaining to you. Maybe you can separate into 2 mods like weapons or enemies.

This is cool, love it, but with how dark and cramped aome of the spaces are, the music seema too upbeat. Should pick something more moody and atmospheric. I could see this feeling more like a sci fi thriller with some tracks from prime

Sorry for taking so long to reply.
Put GZDoom and the Metroid Doom files in the same folder.
Make a new text file with notepad and write "gzdoom -file Met.wad -file Met_maps_fancy.wad -deh Metroid.deh" on it. Save it as "MetroidDoom.bat". When you double click the "bat" file, it should load up the game.
@@Spram2 I just dragged the metroid.pk3 file over the gzdoom.exe file. Didn't need to make .bat file. (Amazing game BTW ;) )
Pretty sick. Environments look a little bland, though.
